Review of New, L'Oreal Age Perfect for Mature Skin, Rich Restorative Cream Cleanser

Although my skin is not full of wrinkles I still take extra steps to make sure my skin stays as young looking for as long as it possibly can. When I came across L'Oreal Age Perfect for Mature Skin, Rich Restorative Cream Cleanser I assumed it would be a nice easy way to maintain my youthful looking skin.

Unfortunately though the cleanser leaves behind a greasy residue on the skin, and seeing that I have oily skin by nature it was not an added benefit that I found at all helpful to my skin type.

The texture of the cleanser is very creamy and feels fantastic when rubbing it into my skin. I also enjoyed how silky it made my skin feel while I was applying it, however rinsing the cleanser was an entirely different story.

The cleanser left behind what felt like an oil slick (at least that's what it felt like to me) no matter how vigorously I tried splashing my face and rinsing my skin of it, the greasy residue was still very present.

After drying my face on a towel the oily feeling did go away, but my skin was left feeling greasier than usual, and was shiny throughout the day, which I hated!

All in all L'Oreal Age Perfect for Mature Skin, Rich Restorative Cream Cleanser would be a great cleanser for those with dry skin, but for those with naturally oily and shiny skin L'Oreal Age Perfect for Mature Skin, Rich Restorative Cream Cleanser is a nightmare.

Review of Nexxus Dualiste, Dual Benefit Conditioner: Color Protection, and Intense Hydration

I fell in love with Nexxus products the very first time I tried out the brand. Although they sell hair care products at prices that I consider a bit high, I also consider the prices to be well worth the product results that I get.

When I came across one of their newest products I knew I had to try it. There were other options in the new collection of dual hair care, but I went with the one best suited for my hair type. Nexxus Dualiste, Dual Benefit Conditioner: Color Protection, and Intense Hydration.

Unlike any other conditioner I had ever seen, Nexxus Dualiste, Dual Benefit Conditioner: Color Protection, and Intense Hydration comes with 2 split chambers of conditioner. One chamber in the bottle holds a conditioner designed to protect the color of your hair, while the other chamber contains conditioner that is designed to moisturize the hair.

You can see inside of the bottle at how the two are split up. There seems to be some sort of plastic wall that keeps the two from spreading in to one another. Frankly they could have just mixed the two together, but that wouldn't be as fun now would it?

At any rate, the pump when pressed down squeezes out the two types of conditioner. One is a cloudy white in color, and the other is a minty green in color.

The scent reminded me a lot of the scents that nearly all Nexxus products have, which is a creamy almond like coconut. Nexxus Dualiste, Dual Benefit Conditioner: Color Protection, and Intense Hydration has a more pina colada scent to it, which is really nice and I cannot imagine anyone disliking it.

In the shower I pumped out a few squirts of the dual conditioner and ran it through my hair. I let it sit for a full 3 minutes and rinsed.

The conditioner made my hair feel very very clean, but not silky which was strange.

When I got out of the shower to style my hair, I was surprised at how manageable my hair was, and how shiny and soft it had become after using Nexxus Dualiste, Dual Benefit Conditioner: Color Protection, and Intense Hydration.

It was an overall winner in my opinion. I loved how it made my hair look and feel, and I loved the fact that the light fragrance stood with me afterward.

It's a 5 star product, and I highly recommend you give it a try.

Review: Strap Perfect- The Ultimate Bra Strap Solution

I was recently given a pack of Strap Perfect- The Ultimate Bra Strap Solution. At first I did not think that these cheap little plastic clips would do anything, yet the back of the package promised to keep bra straps in place, the promised to allow me to adjust my bra straps as to where they would not show while wearing sleeveless shirts, and they also promised to make cleavage look larger, while improving posture.

Yep, a lot of promises all packed into one itsy plastic clip. Frankly I did not think that they would work at all.

I went ahead and gave them a try though seeing that I constantly have bra straps falling out of place...and of course, I could use some extra cleavage, even if it is an illusion! Haha!

Applying the clips are not simple though, and it actually took quite some time for me to figure out how the heck to place them on to the straps.

Once I got them in place though, I was very surprised at how simple they were, and how well the worked.

I was able to slide the clips up and down on the back straps of my bra for a bit of a lift in cleavage, and to conceal straps for when I wore sleeveless shirts. Not only that though they did in fact hold my straps in place. No slipping, no nothing, just pure comfort all throughout the day!

All in all I was not expecting these bra strap concealer's to be worth a damn, but they surprised me in how well they worked.

I highly recommend them, especially during summer months when us gals whip out the tank tops! No one likes looking at unsightly bra straps, so I think that the Strap Perfect Clips are an absolute must...plus they make your boobies look bigger! Haha! What's not to love?

Review of New Soap & Glory Fab Pore Facial Mask

When I came across Soap & Glory Fab Pore hidden amongst other Soap & Glory products I was excited to scoop this one up and give it a try.

The small 1.6 ounce tub however comes to $12.99, which is a little high for what I normally spend on facial masks. Being the true Soap & Glory fan I am though, I went ahead and bought not one, but two of the masks. One for me, and one for my bestie who is also a fan of the collection.

I was hoping it would smell like all of the other original Soap & Glory product, however when I screwed off the lid instead I was greeted with a minty cream like scent. It was a powerful scent, and smelled a lot like the Soap & Glory Spa collection. Due to the pink packaging it came in though, I thought it would have the original scent. Most of the Spa collection products come in blue packages.

The facial mask itself was a light peachy color with small flecks of green micro beads all throughout the mixture.

According to the package, you are to apply it to your face and leave it on for 5 minutes. You could leave it on longer for a full do it yourself facial as well. Your skins benefit of course is supposed to be smaller pores!

I globed on a fair amount of the mask to my skin and rubber it around until all of the micro beads were dissolved; as directed.

The mixture dries rather fast and leaves your skin feeling cool and dry while it does its magic.

After the full 15 minutes I rinsed the mask from my face. My skin was left feeling very clean, and very soft. At the same rate though, it was also left feeling slightly dry, but not tight.

I used a moisturizer as the package directed to take care of the dry feeling the mask left behind.

As far as shrinking my pores during the first session though, I cannot say I saw any results. Using the mask however left my skin feeling pampered, so it was a plus.

All in all I really liked Soap & Glory Fab Pore, but frankly it is just too expensive, and you don't get a whole lot of mix in the tub. It will probably only last me a month and a half with 2 weekly treatments.

Review of new Soap & Glory Hair Supply

This summer Soap & Glory has kicked off with some brand new products, and frankly I could not have been happier with some of the new choices they have made available to use ladies!

One of their newest products is Soap & Glory Hair Supply. This one comes in the usual adorable retro packaging that Soap & Glory products come in. Hair Supply is a pink squeeze tube, with an awesome retro picture of a woman on it with tousled locks! It's cute, its fitting, it's girly, it's a must!

Hair Supply is meant to be used as a hair mask to conditioner your over processed hair leaving it healthy and shiny.

I wanted it mostly for the adoring scent though. If you are a fan of the original Soap & Glory scent, than you will appreciate the fact that Hair Supply captured that scent to the tee!

I was mainly excited to have the scent left behind in my locks more than anything though. I adore the original Soap & Glory scent, and this one smelled just like it. I hoped the scent would last!

In the shower I first rinsed with shampoo, and then squeezed out a decent supply of Hair Supply into my palm.

The conditioner itself has a semi-thick consistency, but not too thick as to where you cannot easily rub it into your hair.

The scent is delicious, and fills the bathroom as you scrub it into your scalp. It is supposed to sit in your hair for around 3 minutes. I left it in for 5 for optimum results.

Once my hair was fully dry and styled it was left shiny, smooth, and of course smelling like a million bucks. I am happy to report that the original Soap & Glory scent stuck with my hair, and lasted long.

For me that was all I wanted it for; the scent. Considering the facts that it left my hair smooth, sleek, and shiny, Hair Supply is an A+ product in my opinion.

Review of Soap & Glory Easy Glistening Spray

Ladies, Soap & Glory Easy Glistening Spray is by far my favorite product in the line thus far!

For those of you who already know and love the sweet feminine fragrance from the original Soap & Glory, you will be highly impressed with the Easy Glistening Spray!

It not only has the original scent to it, but the scent is extremely long lasting. A very small spray of this stuff, and you will be smelling like a sweet princess for the rest of the day.

Besides leaving you doused in the glorious scent though, Soap & Glory Easy Glistening Spray leaves your skin lightly toughed with micro flecks of glitter, that are so small they look like a natural glow added to your skin.

The spray also leaves the skin feeling hydrated, and moisturized.

It comes in a 5 ounce aluminum spray can, and comes to $12.99, which may seem a bit pricey for spray on shimmer, but I am telling you this stuff is by far the absolute best product ever released in the line.

If you are going to buy anything in the Soap & Glory collection, than definitely start with this one. It will add a gorgeous shimmery glow to your body for the summer, one that you...and all the boys will appreciate! Tee-hee!

This one gets a full 5 star rating from me, as well as 2 thumbs up! But it before it is gone!

Review: Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner

I was glad I picked up Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner, the same time I purchased the shampoo, because the conditioner was without a doubt one of the best conditioners I have used in my hair in a very long time. Possibly even years!

Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner is a bit pricier than what I usually pay for shampoos or conditioners, but it being my birthday I wanted to spoil myself with a little something extra, and frankly I am glad I did!

The Scent:

Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner has a fresh scent, mixed with a subtle dash of what smells like vanilla and coconut to me. It has a similar scent to the shampoo discussed below, but it is not as sweet. Nonetheless though, the scent is a nice one; one that nearly all ladies will appreciate.

In The Shower:

Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner is thick conditioner, but not too thick as to where it is hard to run through my hair. I saturated my entire head in the conditioner and let it sit in for about 4 minutes.

After rinsing, I could tell that the conditioner had worked its magic before I even got out to dry my hair! It was smooth and silky in the shower, soft, and felt sleek! I could not wait to see how it made my hair look after I got out to style it.

The Results:

My hair was left silky, sleek, and very, very manageable. The thing I liked the most though was the healthy high beam gloss it left behind as well.

The price of Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner was high, but I can vouch that I will buy this one again and again. The results are spectacular, and it was worth every penny!

Review: Nexxus Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing Shampoo

I normally don't like spending a lot of money on hair care products such as shampoo and conditioner, because I have time and time again run into expensive products that worked just as good as dollar store products.

Seeing that my birthday was last week, I figured I would treat myself to something outside of my normal buying box. I wanted to try a new shampoo and conditioner that cost a little more than what I'm used to spending.

I came across Nexxus Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing Shampoo and fell in love with the scent the moment I clicked up the cap to give it a sniff.

It had a luxurious creamy high note of coconuts, and vanilla. I loved it, and usually I'm not a fan of coconut scents. Nexxus Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing Shampoo though managed to win me over.

My Use:

In the shower I squeezed out a decent amount of the shampoo and liked the thicker texture it had compared to other shampoos I have used. Even though it was thick it did in fact lather into my hair with ease. A little really goes a long way too.

The scent filled the room, and I scrubbed it around in my locks for about a minute, and then rinsed.

My hair was left feeling a little dry afterward which was surprising considering Nexxus Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing Shampoo is meant to moisturize. I knew I needed to add the sister conditioner afterward (which I did in fact buy at the same time) to fix the drying feeling. It worked like a charm and my hair was left smooth, shiny, manageable, and it also felt healthier.

In my opinion, Nexxus Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing Shampoo was worth the $8.00 I spent on the bottle, and I'd recommend it to just about anyone looking to moisturize their hair. I would however suggest buying this shampoo with the conditioner as well. the results are all the more fantastic.

Review: JLo SunKissed Glow Body Lotion

Naturally when you buy perfume, sometimes they come with a perfumed body lotion as well. When I was given SunKissed Glow, it came in a kit that also included the body lotion.

I especially love this because I can layer the scents. First I will apply the perfumed body lotion, and then use the actual perfume. The scent kicks up a notch in most cases, and lasts much longer.

JLo SunKissed Glow Body Lotion has the same scent the sister perfume does. It's a lovely mix of amber, fruit, and musk. It smells delicious, but like I said in the perfume review, SunKissed Glow is very, very similar to Miami Glow, which was Jennifer Lopez's last summery scent. I love the scent yes; but I was not expecting SunKissed Glow to be so damn similar.

At any rate, the body lotion smells fantastic, it leaves a gorgeous layer of the scent all over your body, however it does not moisturize, nor does it have long lasting scent.

It seemed that the scent only stuck around for about 20 to 30 minutes till I was no longer able to smell it at all.

Usually perfumed body lotions tend to stick around, but SunKissed Glow is pretty short lived.

I wouldn't recommend buying the lotion by itself. If it comes in a kit with the perfume, than sure-why not? However buying it alone for $30.00 is sort of wasteful, when you could just buy a larger 3.4 ounce bottle of the perfume for nearly the same price.

Review: JLo SunKissed Glow

I recently found out that Jennifer Lopez was adding yet another summery scent to her line of Glow fragrances. Me being the huge fan of nearly every single fragrance in the perfume collection, I knew that as soon as the scent hit shelves I HAD to have it.

Like all Glow scents, SunKissed Glow comes in the exact shape bottle all of the perfumes in the collection does. Jennifer Lopez said the shape was inspired after by the shape of women's bodies. The bottles feature long necks, and a pear shaped bottom. It's delicate, feminine, and pretty.

Sun Kissed Glow however has beautiful summery colors added to the bottle, red, green, and yellow which all fade into one another.

Around the top neck nozzle part of the bottle there is a plastic tie, with a plastic sea shell tied to it. It's quite pretty, and you can even keep the little fake angel wing shell if you want to make a necklace.

The Scent:

SunKissed Glow smells very, very similar to Miami Glow. It has that musked amber scent to it, only Sun Kissed is a wee bit more fruity than Miami Glow. Had I not had a bottle of Miami Glow with me to compare the difference though, I would have thought SunKissed Glow was the exact same perfume as Miami Glow.

I was expecting something more outside of the box, something a lot different, but frankly it smells nearly identical to her last Summer scent release!

The scent however is delicious, regardless. It's definitely a playful summery scent that just about anyone would love.

The last on SunKissed Glow is not as long lived as Miami Glow. It does last for a long time, but it fades out by the end of the day with no signs left behind. Miami Glow had the power to last for days if sprayed on your jacket. Sun Kissed Glow does not.

As far as recommendations go; if you love Miami Glow, than you will also love Sun Kissed Glow, as it's close to being the same.

Review: New Cherry 7UP Antioxidant

Oh delicious!!!

I like soda, it's probably one of the most unhealthy habits that I have. When I came across Cherry 7UP Antioxidant though I was pretty happy because I knew I could mix my love of soda, with a little dose of health due to the Antioxidant that is included in the beverage.

The taste itself is also pretty good. It has the same cherry 7UP flavor that the original Cherry 7UP has, only it has a small tinge of extra cherry which I was able to detect.

The antioxidant in the drink is Vitamin E. The beverage is also 100% all natural and contains no caffeine.

It's one I'd highly recommend ladies!

Review: Remington Shine Therapy Conditioning Straightener

Last week or so I returned a Conair hair straightener because the thing sucked. It ripped my hair, did not straighten, and the heat settings were way too low to straighten my thick wavy hair.

I returned the straightener and picked up the Remington Shine Therapy Conditioning Straightener.
What impressed me about the straightener was the unique additions this model had compared to any other model on the market.

This straighteners ceramic plates are infused in Avocado oils, and conditioners which keep hair from getting damaged during the heating process.

It sounded good, damn good! And if it wasn't, I could simply pack the sucker up and return it for a refund. I figured if this lower end $50.00 model didn't work, I'd take the plunge and buy an expensive Chi iron.

The straightener itself is pretty with a nice sleek shiny baby blue color. The model however does not have a heat setting dial like other models. Instead you lower and higher the heat settings by pressing the buttons that are located directly on the straightener.

At home when I went to use it, I was impressed with how easily it glided through my hair.

It did manage to straighten my hair to a pin straight finish, but it took a bit more time than my old broken model did. I used to use a Hollywood 5 Star straightener that worked like a charm.

This model though seems to take a bit more time, and I know it is because the clamping is not very tight. I have very thick hair, and in order for me to quickly straighten it, the clamp strength on the iron has to be a tight hold.

The Remington, no matter how hard you clamp it to your hair, fails to give a strong tight hold.

Another issue I had with the model was the button placement. The buttons are located closely to the stick area where you hold it. I kept accidentally hitting the higher heat setting. Although I personally use the highest setting, and this was not an issue for me, those of you who use lower settings will continuously be hitting the higher setting button!

With that issue aside though the Remington Shine Therapy Conditioning Straightener works like a pro. It managed to straighten my thick wavy hair to a pin straight sleek finish, and that was what I wanted it to do. Although I have used better straighteners in the past, this one is not so bad considering the price.

As far as adding shine though, I can't say it did, because my hair is always very shiny after I straighten it. It looked no shinier than usual.

Overall though, for $50.00 it is a good buy. It does have quirks, but it works quite well.

Review: Little Debbie 100 Calorie Snow Puffs - They Are Delish!!!

I was going to put this review in another blog, but seeing that this is a Beauty Blog, I figured that Little Debbies 100 Calorie Snow Puffs deserved a slot here, seeing that it is in fact a much better alternative than say... the original Snow Puff snacks.

When I came across the Little Debbie 100 Calorie Snow Puffs I was pretty excited because most other 100 calorie snacks come with a hefty price attached to them. The Little Debbie 100 Calorie snacks though ask for a price that comes to less than $2.00

When I got around to actually opening the box up at home, I was pretty surprised at how tiny the Snow Puffs were. On the box they looked fairly decent in size, but once I opened it, inside sat a Snow Puff that looked as if it had been hit with the shrinking stick.

At any rate, I went ahead and tried it. The Snow Puff tasted delicious. It had the original squishy marshmallow top, with coconut shavings for flavoring. The puff itself sat on top of a chocolate wedge that tasted a little bit like cake brownies to me.

All in all it was a damn good treat, and I didn't have to feel guilty about snacking on them.

Although they are small, they pack the same delicious original taste that fans already know and love.

I highly, highly recommend them against other 100 calorie snacks because they are cheap, and affordable, unlike other packs from other brands that have $5.00 price tags slapped on to them.

Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Cream Review! Tantalizing Scented Pitts!!!

I sort of sweat a lot, so I use Degree deodorant for men to rid myself of any leakage during hot summer days. It works like a charm. Even though its cool rush scented, it does not give off a cool rush scent for when I grow hot.

I was given a small plastic container of Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Cream Deodorant.

Usually girly deodorants don't do much for me. They tend to smell great for awhile, but don't protect from sweating. If you sweat than the nice scent turns to funk.

I decided to try Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Cream Deodorant alone, and then I used it by pairing it with my usual deodorant.

Here's what happened:

When used alone, the cream deodorant smells fantastic. It has a lovely fresh earthy tone to it, which I absolutely adore. I adore the perfume as well, and I knew I would love the scent of the deodorant.

Whenever I grew hot, the scent would kick up a notch, and give off a gorgeous fragrance.

As far as protecting me from sweat though it only did a decent job. It did protect, but not as fully as I would have liked.

I tried it out again by applying first my usual Degree brand, and then a small dab of the Green Tea Cream Deodorant. The result was spectacular.

While my usual brand protected my pits from sweat, the deodorant cream gave off the tantalizing green tea fresh scent.

Now if Degree would get together with Elizabeth Arden, they could create one hell of a fantastic deodorant!

All in all, I highly recommend it. Although it's not perfect on it's own, when paired with another deodorant it works like a charm.

For those who don't sweat often at all, you can use it alone.

Dr. Scholl's Original Sandals Are Back!!!!

As a kid, I remember these awesome sandals that my mom wore for years. She wore these sandals in the summer, in the winter, day and night.

They held up though, they lasted for years! Besides the obvious lasting quality, these sandals were sexy. I remember my moms legs looking like a million bucks, and her feet looking oh so damn adorable!

I didn't know what the sandals were, I was 5!

As time went on though, and I grew older, I still could remember those sandals, those tan sexy sandals with the cool metal buckle. The sandals that made my moms legs and feet look hot. As a teenager I wanted a pair. I figured I would be able to find them on ebay, but every pair I came across looked very used, and those selling them wanted way too much money for these retro sexy sandals!

The sandals are of course made by the Dr. Scholl's shoe company, and by God are they glorious! With a leather strap to hold your foot in, and a wooden base I figured these gems would never make it back to the market.

Ah, but alas, retro is back, and even though I am seeing all sorts of retro remakes being sold again, I never thought that Dr. Scholl's would re-introduce their original wooden heeled sandals back into the market. I always thought they were long forgotten, and that I was the only one who loved my moms old sandals.

They are back though, and they are back with all new hip colors. The originals my mom wore were the natural tan colored ones, with a nice wood clunk heel. Yep, they would go clunk, clunk, clunk, whenever she walked, commanding attention, her shoes spoke as if saying 'I have entered the room ladies, check me out, and move out of my way!'

The new originals come in pink, blue, brown, tan, yellow, white, green, black, or red. They feature new heel colors as well, but indeed you can get the original wood heel as well. Other heel colors include black, or light tan.

The new originals however come with a new hefty price attached to them. The tan heeled Originals come to a price of $39.00 which is not so bad. If you want the original wooden heel though it's going to cost you some green-age!

The originals with the wooden heels come to $73.20! Youch!!! But your feet will thank you, because these bad boys are damn comfortable!
