Makeup Tutorial for Women Who Wear Glasses

I never used to have to wear glasses, and I loved it. I never knew how awkward and different I would feel once I had to actually wear a pair. Luckily I only have to wear them for computer work and reading, but once I got used to them, I realized my glasses could actually be used as a nerdy sex appeal.

At first I did not know how to wear makeup, and I hated the bumps I would get on my nose because of the glasses. However with some practice I realized that adding brighter, bolder colors instead of more neutral colors, my makeup would still shine through, even with glasses on my face.

I had to focus on working on my eyes a little more than usual though in order to get the look to still be visible. The rims of my glasses covered a small portion of the area, so I had to be sure to make eyeliner lines a little bit thicker, and I had to use eyeshadow colors that were just a little bit deeper and more lush in color.

This worked like a charm, and I still got compliments on how beautiful my eyes were.

In order to deepen your normal eyeshadow colors, you can add a layer of smoky gray on your eyelid first, and then blend in your usual color. This will deepen the color of your normal eyeshadow, making it bolder and easier to see.

Adding eyeliner will be easier to do if you add your eyeshadow on to your eyelids first. Once you have your eyeshadow in place, then add your eyeliner. If you have sensitive eyes, you can skip out on the mascara, especially if you made a thicker eyeliner line on your upper eyelids.

As far as the rest of your makeup, you can apply that as you usually do. Add your foundation, finishing powder, and do not forget your blush. Blush will accentuate your cheekbones, and with the proper brush application you can even draw attention to your eyes.

Your lipstick can be done up as you usually do it. Nothing needs to change in that department. The only extra focus you will need will be on your eyes.

Many women are under the impression that wearing glasses downgrades their sex appeal, but this is far from the truth. Glasses can actually double your sex appeal, if you know how to wear your makeup right.
