Review, John Varvatos Perfume for Women

Mother's Day recently passed, and while shopping around for some last minute extras I came across a really pretty gift set by John Varvatos. The set included a bottle of John Varvatos Perfume for Women, and a shower gel.

Todays review focus is on the perfume.

The Bottle

Initially what caught my eye was the gift box it came in. A nice round little cardboard package with a shell pink hue to it, with a cutesy Victorian briefcase type of vibe to it. When I popped off the lid, I was greeted with a nice view at a cheerful pretty wide egg shaped bottle of perfume. The bottle itself was really pretty, it had a hot summer color scheme going on which reminded me of the beach, and Miami Glow by JLo. It had a pinkish orange glimmer to it, and I liked it a lot, enough to even want to keep it for myself.

The Scent

The set was selling for $25.00, and I didn't want to spend that much based off of a pretty bottle, so I tested the perfume right there in the store, and fell in love with it. I knew she would love it.

I sprayed 2 shots onto my shirt, and inhaled the fragrance. The first note I picked up was fruity, quickly followed by a fresh cut floral mix. It was a fresh scent, that was both light, yet obvious enough to be recognized by those around you.

I loved the scent, so I went ahead and bought it. Throughout the day I fell more and more in love with the fragrance because it lasted, and lasted, and kept on lasting; like an Energizer Bunny of fragrances, John Varvatos is a winner.

Overall:

I ended up going back the following day to by a set for myself. Not only am I a new fan of the scent, but so is my mother. It's a spring/summer scent that I feel just about anyone will enjoy. With a long last, it's a keeper and I highly recommend it.
