Review of Burberry Brit, Perfume for Women

I had the opportunity to smell Burberry Brit Sheer before smelling the original fragrance, Burberry Brit. In all honesty I cannot decide which one I like better, as both of them smell really beautiful, and both of them are 2 fragrances all their own. The Sheer version smelled nothing like the original.

The Fragrance:

Burberry Brit has a much higher potency of spice and musk. At first it smells like something a man would wear, it's got that masculine quality about it, but once the higher spiced notes begin to settle in and span out, the fragrance transforms into a much more light and airy musk, with the spiced notes taking second place to the musky like powder. Once this begins to fade you start to really smell these gorgeous notes of summery fruits and citrus like lime and vanilla. This is the 2 notes that seem to stick around for the long run, while the others sort of fade off to elsewhere-ville.

All in all the scent is different, unique, fun, and eccentric as Burberry puts it. I have to agree, the scent is definitely eccentric, and this is definitely a good thing.

The Last:

Once I fell in love with the scent, the one thing that makes or breaks all fine fragrances is how long it manages to last. I prayed it packed last, and hoped that it delivered the same long lasting kick that the Sheer version had.

Thankfully, Burberry Brit sticks around, those lime and vanilla notes seem to linger the longest, with touches of fine foreign spices every now and again in the mix. The vanilla lime scent however seem to overtake everything else, and this is a plus, because its a combo I have never smelled before. It's not some creamy lime coconut scent that is done over and over again every summer, this lime is a new combo and one I think any beachy fragrance lover will simply falling love with.

The Bottle:

All of Burberry perfume bottles are shaped the same, and mostly they are ugly dull things all featuring a color combo of colors in a plaid texture. Burberry Brit features a white and black plaid design, with small stripes of brown/maroon running down it.

The bottle is not collection worthy.

Overall:

Burberry Brit is a winner in my opinion. I love the unique blends of fragrances, and I especially love how it fades into a vanilla lime scent, yet stays with you all day long.
