Review of CHI Keratin Mist, Leave in Treatment

A few months ago I had a really bad experience using a do it yourself at home straightening system, basically I fried my hair so badly that I knew it would likely take months to repair it.

I had used numerous high end, and low end products to try and bring my hair back to life. Some gave me short term results, and others didn't help much at all as far as long term results.

One product that I used daily was Chi Keratin Mist, a leave in treatment that supposedly repairs hair, reduces frizz, and conditions. It was a bit pricey considering that it comes from CHI, and I had heard nothing but good things about CHI in general, so I figured I would go ahead and try it.

The Scent:

The scent does not last or stick, but spraying it on, it releases an ice clean musky like fragrance that is pleasing. I would have liked the scent to stay, but once the spray absorbs into your hair, it;s pretty much gone from there.

Short Term Results:

Unfortunately I did not get any fast acting results with this mist. My hair still felt dry, brittle, and split ends were still present, and breaks were still a daily occurrence.

Long Term Results:

I used the mist daily, and after about 3 weeks my hair did start to look less dull and less dead. I also noticed that my hair would dry a lot faster than it normally did. I guess that would be a plus for those who do not use hair dryers (me being one of those people).

However the results were very minor, and my hairs texture never improved from there. Breaks were still a daily occurrence, and split ends never seemed to cease. Frizz also never settled down.
I still use it daily, and have been so for around 2 months now. My hair however did not show any signs of improvement until I picked up a bottle of Biosilk, Silk Therapy Serum, which seemed to fix my hair almost immediately.

Overall:

There is nothing special in my opinion when it comes to CHI Keratin Mist, Leave In Treatment. I find it to be way overpriced for what it actually does.
