Lately I have been styling my hair curly, and no matter how much gel, or
smoothing cream I use, the frizz is still obvious, especially at the
very top of my head. I had used products in the Frizz Ease collection
before with relatively decent results, so when I came across a bottle of
Frizz Ease Smooth Start Conditioner, I figured that perhaps this conditioner would tame my frizz.
The Scent:
Smooth Start Conditioner smells like many of the new conditioners and
shampoos on the market; it has a fresh ting to it, with a clean fragrant
boost. However, it causes the scent to just blend in with all the rest,
which is annoying. I miss all of the clever fragrances that once
pounced on shelves. Florals, citrus, fruits, and so on.
I went with it anyway though. I figured who cares if the scent is bland and unoriginal, so long as it works.
My Use:
I showered and added shampoo as I normally would. I used a low priced
shampoo, and followed up with the Frizz Ease Smooth Start Conditioner.
The consistency of the conditioner was thick and creamy, which usually
ends up becoming my favorite type of conditioner as far as results go.
Thick textured conditioners tend to tame my thick wavy hair type better
than the runny ones do. I had a good feeling about this one.
After rinsing, my hair was left smooth and silky, and I went ahead and styled my hair into curls as I usually do.
As my hair dried, I was in fact able to notice that the frizz that
normally forms at the top part of my head was not as obvious or unruly.
Frizz was still present, but not to such a degree as to where it was
bothersome to me.
Overall:
Once my hair was completely dry I have to say that the results were
better than I was expecting. Frizz seemed more relaxed and did not stick
up, and my hair was left shiny and soft. The scent did not stick around
though, but that's fine because after curling I usually add a few
spritzes of perfume.
All in all though, if you are looking to tame some frizz caused by
humidity, you will find the results you are looking for in this
conditioner. For the low price (under $6.00) it is well worth it.
