Review of L De Lolita Lempicka, Body Lotion

Whenever I find a scent that I really like, I try picking it up in a gift set. The value is better, and you not only get a bottle of the perfume, but you get shower gel, and body lotion (in most cases).

When I picked up a gift set of L de Lolita Lempicka I was happy to see everything in one box just as I would need. It came with the perfume, the shower gel, and the product up on review today, the body lotion.

The body lotion normally comes in a lovely 6.8 ounce bottle, but this was a trial version, and it was much smaller than what you get in other gift sets. There is however enough body lotion in the plastic tube for a few decent uses.

The plastic container that the body lotion came in, in the gift set was really cheap looking, almost more generic than a dollar store lotion, or a freebie lotion a little girl would get in some sort of Barbie gift set. I was a little disappointed in the lack of quality. The cap on the lotion is also a cheap plastic screw top. It reminded me of those cheap bottles of bubbles you get at weddings.

The Scent:

The scent is described as being woodsy, but this was not my experience at all. L de Lolita Lempicka has a sugary lemon drop scent, that has a nice buttery undertone to it. The scent is nice, because it's a summery one that is both fresh like lemon drops candy, yet warm like the sun thanks to the buttery notes.
Unfortunately the perfume did not have a lasting scent. I was hoping that the body lotion would.

My Use:

L de Lolita Lempicka , Body Lotion has the same consistency you would expect from any body lotion. It is not too runny, nor to thick. It has a nice balanced texture to it, and goes on easy, and absorbs quickly. The scent however is really weak, and seems to weaken out the more you rub the lotion in.

As far as feeling like my skin was moisturized, I'd have to say yes, but the feeling was temporary; very temporary.

Overall:

It was a waste of time even putting this lotion on. The scent vanished as I was applying it, and the moisturizing properties were not found at all once the lotion absorbed completely.

It was cool getting to try this out though, and a nice addition to the gift set, but I would not at all recommend going out and purchasing this in the larger, much more expensive 6.8 ounce bottle.
