In the store I fell in love with L de Lolita Lempicka perfume for
women. I picked up the gift set which included all 3 bath and body
goodies; the lotion, the perfume, and the product up for review today,
the shower gel.
Like every perfumed gift set, the shower gel smelled just like the
perfume. They describe it as a woodsy fragrance, but for me L de Lolita Lempicka
smelled like lemon drops doused in sugar with a hint of butter cream.
The scent is like candy, but with a warm sweetness due to the buttery
scent that is so easily detected.
The shower gel came in a much smaller trial sized plastic bottle. Most
gift sets add a smaller sized trial gel and lotion, but this set added a
very tiny vial of it, which was a little disappointing, but still good
enough for around 4 or 5 uses.
Shower Time:
When I got into the shower, and used some Lolita Lempicka Shower Gel,
I was surprised at how cruddy it was. I squeezed a big glop of it onto
my bath puff, and worked it around my skin, the suds though were weak,
and barely existent. I was surprised that after using so much of the
gel, that it barely produced a lather. I figured I'd be covered in a
cream sudsy lather, but I wasn't.
Not only was the lather cruddy, but so was the scent. It had a
different scent to it, than its sister perfume and lotion. It had a much
higher note of creamy vanilla, with some cinnamon spice.
That candy lemon scent was not found anymore. The scent had also toned
down by like 4 notches in power. It was weak; overall the entire shower
gel is weak. I'm amazed that they sell this in larger bottles for much
larger price tags, because it is no better than some cheap dollar store
shower gel.
Overall:
Skip it. It's not worth your money, and it does not even provide a
nice in shower experience. I had to use another shower gel on top of
this just to get a clean feeling on my body.
