Normally I try avoiding spending a lot of money on hairspray, and ever since finding Salon Grafix,
I really have not had a reason to ever purchase high end hairspray.
However whenever a freebie is tossed my way, I won't turn it down. L'Oreal Elnet Hairspray came in a trial can for free when I purchased their hair coloring kit about 2 weeks ago.
I was excited to give it a try, and I use hairspray daily. I have such
thick and wavy hair though, that I need to purchase hairspray with
super or ultra hold to them. Salon Grafix does the trick, and I hoped
that L'Oreal Elnet would be capable of doing the same.
I shook the can, and went ahead and sprayed some in my hair, and then
pressed down the frizz and fly-aways. I hoped that the spray would keep
them down for the majority of the day, but Elnet promises to control
hair while leaving it silky feeling still, not stiff or hard like others
do. Unfortunately for my hair type, usually a promise like that means
there is no control, and it does not keep my hair in place like a
stronger hold will.
My assumptions were right. Elnet was not at all capable of keeping my
hair frizz free. Small spirals of hair still stuck up out of my head,
and I had to fix it with my Salon Grafix Hairspray.
Now the plus side is that if you don't have thick hair, then you will
probably like this one, but other than that, 'd suggest skipping out on
it.
L'Oreal Elnet also leaves behind a beautiful fragrance. It's a light
honey musk mix which is really pleasing to the senses, and the scent
lasts. It was like perfume for my hair, and I enjoyed the fact that it
left the scent with me for so long.
For me, and women with hair types like mine, L'Oreal Elnet won't do
you any bad hair day justice, but for others, it'll work fine for
styling your hair, while leaving it silky and soft to the touch.
However, I don't think you will get a whole lot of hold out of it.
Considering the price is nearly $15.00, this one is just mediocre. The
nice scent just does not make up for the lack of hold and the high
price tag. Sorry L'Oreal, I love most of your products, but this one is
just a loss for me. Pop that scent in a strong hold spray and you have a
fan for life, till then, no.
