I never buy the same conditioner twice, unless I really love it. I only
have a handful of conditioners that I will buy on a continuous basis.
After returning home from a vacation where I was swimming around in high
salt content seas, I knew that once I got home I would need to really
focus on bringing my hair back to its natural shiny self. The sun damage
was also really noticeable.
While browsing around at my local Target I found a new collection of
hair care products from L'Oreal. Seeing that L'Oreal rarely disappoints
me, I went ahead and bought the L'Oreal Everstrong Hydrate Conditioner.
The conditioner itself came in an 8.5 ounce minty polished green
squeeze tube. The tube itself is pretty, and gives off this high quality
salon vibe, which L'Oreal is known for.
I popped the click top up, and tried to take in a sniff of the scent.
More recently I have grown very tired of the same fresh, clean, laundry
scent that so many conditioners give off. Instead I was greeted with an
herbal aromatherapy like scent, of rosemary and mint, and it was
wonderful. A lean green scent, and I hoped that the scent would stick
around in my hair.
My Use:
After shampooing with my usual brand of shampoo, I went ahead and
squeezed some of L'Oreal Everstrong Hydrate Conditioner into my palm,
and worked it into my wet hair.
The conditioners consistency is semi thick, but not so thick as to
where mending it through my locks was hard. In fact it was easy, and a
small amount went a long way, so I was happy about that, considering the
fact that 8.5 ounces is not a whole lot of conditioner, especially for
my longer/thicker hair type.
The scent flooded the bathroom, and that was a nice little extra
positive. The mint tingles but ever so slightly. I like conditioners
with the tingle sensation because it is refreshing and cooling,
especially on hotter, humid summer days, which have already began to
spring up.
I let the conditioner sit for around 5 minutes till I rinsed.
While rinsing, I already knew that this conditioner had preformed some
kind of wonderful, because my hair felt so soft, and so slick as I
washed out the formula.
I hoped that my hair would dry as nice as it felt wet. As the hair
dried it was left shiny, silky, but with a ton of additional volume;
considering how thick and volumized my hair is naturally I was not too
thrilled with the extra oomph.
The scent also did not remain.
Overall:
This conditioner would be perfect for women looking to add some
healthy shine, and volume to their hair. However if you have thick hair,
forget about it. I had to double up the time I usually spend styling my
hair, which was a pain in the butt.
