Review of Mambo Perfume for Women, by Liz Claiborne

I have found a new love in Liz Claiborne fragrances. 5 years ago though, if I heard the name all I could associate it with was rose scented old women at thrift stores; however more recently the line of fragrances has managed to continue to impress me with each and every new fragrance I have come across.

Mambo being the newest find.

I came across Mambo at my local Marshall's with a $15.00 price tag. I loved the package so much, that I hoped that whatever perfume was inside of this neat looking box, was as hot and spicy as the package.

What really drew me in was the package, and I had no idea what the bottle looked like, or what the perfume smelled like. That is the beauty of Marshall's; everything is a guessing game.

Mambo came in a package that gave off a hot summer spicy vibe, sort of like the bottle and package of Miami Glow by JLo.

The Bottle:

Mambo comes in an odd shaped bottle, not necessarily one I would want to keep or save once the perfume was gone. It's a misshaped tall bottle, with a dent in its side that makes it looked like some deformed piece of glass. So I was not to keen on the bottle, but the scent...well the scent is a whole other story.

The Scent:

One spritz of Mambo and I was instantly hooked, and in love. It has a wonderful mixture of both sweet, spicy, and sugary. Mixed the fragrances all make for one hell of a delicious summery scent.

The very first note that hits is a high note of florals, which smell like Lillie's and hyacinth to me. Shortly after getting hit up with those florals, the perfume fades into a more fruity citrus fragrance that reminds me of lime and cinnamon.

An interesting combo nonetheless, but a delicious and addicting one all the same.

Last:

Mambo packs some last to it, but it does not stick around quite as long as I was hoping it would. I was able to wear it for about an hour till I could no longer smell it. For the $15.00 spent on it though, Mambo was a nice choice, and I carry it around with me in my bag for routine touch ups throughout the day.

All in all, I like it, and would recommend it, but due to the short lived last, I'd only recommend it for the price I paid, or less.
