Review of New CoverGirl NatureLuxe Gloss Balm, #265- Sandstone

Being a member of BzzAgent opens you up to all sorts of freebie perks, such as high end products, or lower end simplicity items such as makeup. No matter what you get though, as a member it is always an honor to be able to share views with others on what these products could offer.
Up on today's chopping block is CoverGirl NatureLuxe Gloss Balm, in #265 which they called Sandstone.

The Color:

Sandstone in the tube looks like a dark peachy pink, with a matte like finish. However with that said, the balm is actually gloss, and I had a feeling that applied to lips the color would be less obvious and deep, as most glosses are.

On lips the color does wash out a bit into a more flushed pink color, which is very subtle and natural looking. Me being the color junkie I am though, I was hoping the color would be deeper. Unfortunately it is not, but it is definitely a great subtle hint of color for those who like that ultra natural look.
It does add shine though, which in my opinion would make for a great 'over the lipstick' cover.

The Texture:

This was where CoverGirl NatureLuxe Gloss Balm won me over. The texture is fantastic on the lips, and it is like giving your lips an ultra moisturizing bath without the deep pocket price tag. On the lips it feels very natural, as if it is not even there, but what it does is leave lips feeling like your lips, just really moisturized and soft. There is nothing greasy, sticky or tacky about it.

Overall:

Although this one will not flood your lips with any obvious coloring, it does what most glosses do. It adds shine. However what most gloss balms don't do is add long lasting protective moisture, which leave lips soft all day long, and NatureLuxe Gloss Balm will do just that.

This particular gloss balm could easily replace Chapstick for those with dry chapped lips, and for that reason I would recommend it.
