Review of LUSH: Angel's Delight Soap

Lush is an addiction, a love, a passion, and honestly I need an AA program to help me recover, and to stop spending half my paycheck every other week on their site.
WHAT IS LUSH?
Lush is a bath and body product store and online store. Everything is made of fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. Most of their products are all natural and vegan. None of their products are ever tested on animals. This is sort of what attracts me to their products, the fact that it's chemical free, and no animals were guinea pigged. Oh yeah, and the smell of their products are divine. But I'll mention this further on.
WARNING:
Lush soaps, massage bars, body butters and other items all melt rather quickly. Not melt before your eyes quickly, but fast enough. So when I order their soaps, I cut them into sample sized pieces and use one at a time. I save the rest in a cool dry place, or in the fridge.
If you ever happen to order from www.Lush.com expect to wait from 12-15 days for it to ship to you. You can also shop ant any local lush stores if you happen to have one nearby. If not your stuck to shopping online, which stinks because their shipping rates are a bit unfair.
Items will arrived neatly packed and sealed with a kiss (Thats what the label says anyways). Your items should all have an expiration date. Yup thats right, some of Lush's products have an expiration date as to when you should discard the item. However I have never gotten such a thing on any of my items, and I don't know why Lush mentions it, if they don't add it. There should also be the name of the person who handmade your product. Again, I have yet to receive this either. It's a small disappointment, but the products make up for it. Not only that with every order Lush throws in 2 samples of their products. Sometimes though it's as if they don't really look what you ordered and you end up with 2 samples of things you already have. Wake up Lush!
MY ITEM OF THE WEEK:
ANGELS DELIGHT!
It's a lovely glycerin/cream handmade soap. On the Lush website it is pinkish in color with glitter stars all throughout.
However Lush soaps are cut from the block, so you never know what you're going to get. I for one have never ever gotten the golden ticket; as in angel stars.
My first bar was an all pink glycerin based soap. But my second order of it came in a pink and purple glycerin, with swirls of creamy blue throughout it. The scent thankfully remained the same.
The soap itself it $6.65 for 3.5oz bar.
I cut mine up into sample sized pieces and got nearly 10-12 pieces out of it. Pretty cool!
Lush soaps are known to become very potent once warm water hits them. It's like activating the stink button. But oh the stink is heavenly. I could really understand why Lush would call this one Angel's Delight. It smelled simply delightful. A delicious scent of fruit punch filled the air, and I happily scrubbed away.
In the shower I knew this glycerin based soap would last most likely for only 5-10 minutes and melt away to nothing. However it lasted so long I didn't even have to use the entire thing. So I saved the rest for the next day.
Angel's Delight doe not do such a wonderful job though when it comes to creating a luscious lather. However it did make me feel clean, and it did rinse off without leaving any residue or greasy icky feeling behind.
After my shower was over and done with, I could smell the scent of this fruity goodness surrounding me and sticking with me. The smell lasted for at least 3-4 hours afterward, which is pretty dang good for soap. I never have any soaps scent last with me after a shower. Usually the scent is gone when I'm dry. This is not the case with Angels Delight. This is why I dub this particular soap with a perfect 100% when it comes to Lush soaps.
It's so lovely I'm growing wings.

Review of LUSH - Big Blue Bath Bomb

ANOTHER LUSH ITEM OF THE WEEK: BIG BLUE!
Big blue is a bath bomb created by Lush. It is an all natural alternative to the chemical baths most people these days are happily soaking in.
I ordered mine online at www.Lush.com for $5.40 for a 6.3oz ball. And what a ball it is! It is seriously just as big as a softball, and although some say to cut it in half to save a piece for another time, I found this nearly impossible to do without ruining the bath bomb.
RUB A DUB DUB, SEAWEED IN THE TUB!
I ran my bath and plopped big blue in, immediately big blue began fizzing and changing my clear bath water to a lovely turquoise color. This beautiful color alone was relaxing. But not only that Big blue let out a subtle scent of herbs. It smelled like pizza herbs mixed with mint.
Just when I though that was all Big Blue had to offer, I began to feel scratchy particles at the bottom of my tub and under my butt. I also noticed black particles floating about in the water. The beautiful blue water was now filled with ghastly particles. Usually when I use bath bombs it makes the water feel silky, smooth, and moisturizing. This was not the case with Big Blue. The water felt the same.
SEAWEED! Thats exactly what was floating all over the tub. I tried to enjoy it seeing how I spend almost $6 on this experience. However it grossed me out too fast and I ended up only soaking in it for a good 10 minutes before hopping out.
I was also disappointed to see that my skin had not felt any more moisturized than when I went into the tub.
On the site I had read that these seaweed particles would easily drain down the tub. So I drained the tub, and went for bed.
The next day my boyfriend comes in and tells me we need a plumber because he sees black worms coming out of the drain. I had to laugh. I knew Big Blue must have left behind a few seaweed particles that didn't go down.
When I went into the bathroom I discovered the mess everywhere. Stuck to the drain, stuck to the edge and bottom of the tub! What a mess! 10 minutes wasted cleaning up the mess. a 20 minute investment, all of which were just a pain in the butt.
I felt like packaging up the seaweed and sending it back to lush and asking for a refund.
Overall I have been satisfied with many of my Lush products, but Big Blue was a huge nasty burn.

Review: Lush Sandstone Soap

I'm sure all of us know the feeling of a gigantic wave washing up on us, tumbling us around like dry clean, and leaving us wet, scratched up, and our bathing suits filled with sand. That gritty feeling is known by almost everyone reading this.
So why would we want that gritty feeling while showering? We wouldn't actually, but thanks a whole lot Lush for making such an awful soap.
SANDSTONE:
A glycerin soap made by Lush, sells on their site for $6.95 for a 3.5oz bar. You can also obtain this soap at any local Lush store. The soap itself is yellow in color with swirls of white soap throughout it. On top it looks as if they dipped the soap into a batter of gritty sand. Thus creating the name, Sandstone.
The soap is used to moisturize the skin, and the sand is added in to give exfoliation. (The removal of dead skin particles)
I would not normally buy a soap with sand in it, but with a recent Lush order they were kind enough to throw it into my box as a free sample. Usually I love free samples, but Sandstone was no treat.
SHOWER POWER:
If you are like me, wasting anything that you get for free is a giant NO! So of course I had to put Sandstone to the shower test.
I took my sample with me into the shower, and left it in the soap dish until I was done shampooing and conditioning. I did this to test how long the soap would last in the hot humid area. Most soaps from Lush melt rather quickly. Sandstone however withstood the test of time, and only broke a sweat. I honestly thought it would melt into a pile of goo before I was ready to use it.
Anyways...
I rubbed the bar all around my skin, and the scent hit me pretty fast. It smelled just like Pine Sol, Pledge, and cheap furniture cleaner. It was lemony all right but the lemony scent was not natural. It was chemically and didn't sit well with me.
I went on scrubbing anyway. At first the sand on the top of the bar stood put, however once the soap began to melt I had sand everywhere. I scrubbed lightly because my skin is not used to exfoliation particles in my soap. Within just a few minutes of gentle rubbing, I noticed my skin was becoming irritated and was starting to hurt.
Not only that but there was sand everywhere, but my skin was turning bright red and getting splotchy in areas I had rubbed the soap.
This soap was a mess, and it made me feel gritty and dirty. I find it unusual for a soap to make you feel dirty, but this is exactly what Sandstone did.
I hoped out of the shower disappointed with the soap. Not only that I had particles of soap stuck in 'places'. I had to hop back into the shower and rinse off again.
The soap also did not leave the citrus smell behind on my skin. Usually Lush soaps are known for their potent powerful punch. Sandstone does not punch, it scratches.
HOW TO MAKE SOME SANDSTONE:
Sand, Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Perfume, Litsea Cubeba Fruit Oil, Coriander Oil (Coriandrum sativum), Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides).
OVERALL:
Sandstone was a nasty rude experience. It hurt like hell, and turned my skin raw. It did not provide any moisturization, all it did was rip at my skin, and leave sand in my bum. If I wanted an experience like this, I would have just layed down on the shores of an ocean and had the waves clobber me, and drag me across the sea floor.
I for one also do not have sensitive skin, but according to Sandstone, I do.
I usually love products from Lush, but with Lush soaps, it's always a hit or miss. For me, Sandstone was a big miss.
RECOMMENDATION:
Only for those who are used to abrasive painful body exfoliations. Everyone else...run!
If you do happen to take well to abrasive exfoliation, it is recommended to cut you bar into sample sized pieces and store the rest in a cool dry place, or a refrigerator.

Review of LUSH Sultana of Soap

LUSH ITEM OF THE WEEK: SULTANA OF SOAP
Oh yeah!
Sultana of soap is another handmade cut from the block all natural soap from Lush. I lately have been obsessed with all things Lush. Everything they make is completely unique from items you will find at any regular beauty shop or drug store. The scents are like no other, and best of all Lush does not test on animals. Most products they make are vegetarian as well.
It is not unusual to buy a piece of soap that contains nuts, fruit, sand, vegetables and sea salt. (Sometimes you will even get products containing glitter)
Sultana of soap contains raisins (even though the description failed to mention this), dried out cranberries, currents, and apricot.
My bar however seemed to contain nuts, even though this was not in the description either. The soap itself is white with small particles of crunched currents and apricots. The top of the soap contains a nice little pile of raisins and cranberries. The soap that I got looked similar to the picture I have added, only my bar was misshaped square. Again, I preferred it this way only because it made cutting the soap easier.
Why would I cut the soap?
Well if you have never ordered from Lush before you may not know that their soaps melt quite quickly. When I get my bars I cut them into sample sized pieces ensuring more use from my bar. Out of the 3.5oz bar I get about 8-10 sample sized pieces. I take only one in the shower with me, and the rest I leave in a cool dry place, or I put them in a plastic container and save them in the fridge.
Sultana is a creamy soap, and cutting it was like slicing butter. However some of the cranberries and raisins may fall off of the top while you are cutting your bar, so be gentle!
SMELLS LIKE HEAVEN:
In the shower Sultana preforms better than most Lush soaps I have used. The lather was nothing to brag about, but compared to other soaps from Lush, it was pretty decent. The lather itself was not luscious or bubbly, but it was more like a lotion type lather. Creamy, but not silky.
The scent really stinks the place up once warm water hits the bar; but in a good way! Most Lush soaps have a very strong overpowering scent, that will last and last for hours. This is what Lush is known for, the soaps with a kick. It's like caffeine for your skin, and the scents last!
With Sultana I could detect the light scent of apricot and almond. Although there is no almonds in it, this was a distinctive scent I could easily detect. It was lovely. I rubbed the bar all over my body, and the raisin particles began to fall to the floor. These raisins surely would not rinse down the drain, so I had a few to pick up after I was done. It was annoying, yes, but the scent really made up for that little problem.
Mainly what I look for in my Lush products is not how well they moisturize, but how long the scent lasts. I can proudly report that the lovely scent will stay with you for hours after using Sultana. The moisturization it gave is nothing to write home about, but it was pretty nice compared to most soaps I have used.
All in all Sultana of soap is a must have from Lush. It has become one of my favorites, and I see myself ordering this over and over again.
Now that you have all of that information, lets talk about where to get a piece of you own.
If you are luck enough to have a Lush store nearby you can easily purchase it there in any ounce size you want. However if you're one of the unlucky ones like me, we have no choice but to order this from the Lush website at www.Lush.com. The soap itself will cost you $4.95 for a 3.5oz bar.
Shipping rates stink! That's probably the only downside of ordering from Lush. It will cost you $8.20 to have Lush ship to you with standard UPS. It will take anywhere from 10-15 days to get your order to you. The wait is killer, but well worth it in the end.
Honestly though if you're about to make you first purchase from Lush, be sure to add in Sultana; a sure to please soap.
HOW TO MAKE SULTANA:
Sodium Palm Kernelate, Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Dried Apricots (Prunus armeniaca), Dried Currants (Ribes rubrum), Titanium Dioxide, Dried Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon), Olibanum Oil (Boswella Carterii), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate

Review of LUSH Butterfly Bath Bomb

Remember the days when you could waste away afternoons in the spring and summer time with a bug catching net in one hand, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the other? The times when the sandwich went down into the dirt, as you attempted to catch a butterfly?
This was the motivation of Lush's Butterfly Bath Bomb.

WHAT'S THE HECK IS A BATH BOMB?

For those of you who have never heard of the term, a bath bomb is a ball you place into your tub after the water is filled, or while the water is filling. Once placed into the water it will fizz up releasing aroma, and making the water feel as smooth as silk.
Lush however always goes the extra mile when they make their bath bombs. I have come across bath bombs that have released rose petals, confetti, seaweed, and the most recently butterflies.
Thats right, butterflies. Not real ones, but small butterflies cut from purple and blue fabric with sequins on them. It was quite an interesting treat for me to have my tub filled with little butterflies floating around in the water.
BUTTERFLY BATH BOMB:
Not only releases fabric glittery butterflies, but it also turned my bath water a beautiful deep colored pink. The smell was intoxicating. It was as if I was running through a flower field, only it was occurring in my bathroom. The water felt smooth and silky, and I basically just layed back, relaxed and took in the lovely scent, and I fumbled around in the water catching butterflies. As I went fumbling around for the butterflies, I also found small dried out pieces of Jasmine flowers floating throughout the water. I was surprised to have this much fun in the bathroom.
Until Lush, baths were usually just a boring routine that consisted of bubble bath powder, and pathetic bath bombs that did nothing but fizz out in 2 seconds. Butterfly Bath Bomb fizzed for a good 5 to 6 minutes before the entire ball was gone.
You too can experience a butterfly bath by picking up a bomb at any local lush, or online at www.Lush.com. Butterfly is $4.95 for a 3.1oz ball. It's not the largest bath bomb I have used, but for it's smaller size it packs a pinch greater than any 6oz bomb I have ever used. I can compare the size to a tangerine. It's about the correct size if you have a rough time imagining a 3.1oz ball.
The scent of flowers lasted on my skin for about 3 hours after the bath, and I enjoyed the scent up until I fell asleep later on in the night, and my skin felt completely hydrated afterward, eliminating the need for any follow up lotions.
WHAT'S IN IT?
Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Jasmine Flowers (Jasminum officinale), Cornflower Petals (Centaurea cyanus), Larkspur Flowers (Delphinium consolida), Everlasting Flower Absolute (Gnaphalium uliginosum), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Benzyl Alcohol, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Benzoate, Citronellol, *Limonene, FD&C Red No. 4, FD&C Red No. 27, FD&C Red No. 33, Fabric Butterfly
All in all, this is a bath bomb from Lush that I would highly recommend. It's a must have for every woman looking to bring release the inner child. Not only that, but children ill have tons of fun with this one.
It is also safe to use this in a jet tub. Butterflies will be left over in the tub after you drain it, but pick up is easy, and worth the experience. The dried out flowers will easily go down the drain.
For a complete look at the bomb and for Lush's item description visit http://usa.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/2675?expand=Bath Another Note:
Don't be afraid to order this bomb and any bath bomb from the site. All of my bombs I have ordered have always come in great condition. I feared my bomb would come all chipped up and broken during transit. My fears were eliminated when the bomb arrived. Lush packs their items with care. If however there ever is a problem Lush will always offer you a full refund without an issue.

Review of LUSH the Comforter Bubble Bar

Hollywood here I come...In the bath tub anyways.
Now I'm sure everyone here reading this always wondered how Hollywood created such awesome bubbles in the bathtub for bathroom bath scenes. No matter how much soap and bath powder and doo dads you add in the tub, the bubbles have not even come close to what you see on the movies!
Well say goodbye to bubble baths that pop out and disappear in less than 5 minutes. I have found the new solution, a product that will fill the bathtub with enough bubbles to make any girl go ga-ga.
ITEM OF THE WEEK:
The Comforter Bubble Bar!
A sweet little treat for any bubble bath lover. I'm sure there are plenty of you wondering what a bubble bar is. Well it's made by Lush, and is designed to be broken up under running water. Within seconds luscious foaming bubbles will fill your entire tub. It is recommended to only use half of your bubble bar during use and to save the other half. Believe me, all you will need is half.
Comforter Bubble bar is a large rectangular shaped bar. It actually reminded me of a strawberry shortcake roll. The bar itself is pink with swirls of white running all around it.
The Comforter Bubble Bar is the larger of bubble bars that Lush offers, so the Comforter bar can be cut into 4 pieces for 4 separate uses. If you add the entire 7oz bar you could end up with more bubbles than you would know what to do with. 1 cut will fill the entire tub for the entire bath, so there is no need to get greedy. Not to mention the fact that The Comforter Bubble Bar costs $8.45, so really you want to get the most out of it.
NOW... TO PUT THE BAR TO THE TEST:
I cut my bar into 4 pieces and took one section into the bathroom with me. I then crumbled the chunk in my hands under running hot water. The bar crumbles easily, and within seconds my tub filled with tons of luscious thick bubbles. I honestly was not expecting to get much out of this strange concept of a bubble bath, but I was happy to see the results. Not only that but the bubble bar also changed the water a lovely pink color. I could barely see the water though, that is seriously how bubbly it was.
The huge amount of bubbles, the lovely pink colored water, it can't get any better than that...or can it?
YES it can, and it does!
The scent of Comforter was that of candy and flowers. A comforting scent indeed; the name fit this bubble bar well. It reminded me of cotton candy mixed with a touch of honey and wildflowers. The water was also extremely silky and felt nice on my skin. I soaked for about 20 minutes and my bubbles were still standing strong, I felt bad saying goodbye to them as I drained them.
It is a miracle to get 5 minutes out of regular drug store bubble bath product. Lush's bubble bath bars are seriously a product all it's own, and The Comforter Bar is by far the best I have tried yet.
After drying up, the sweet smell of candy stood with me for hours. This is what Lush is famous for, scents that last. Some products may be a dud when it comes to long lasting scents, but The Comforter Bubble Bar lasted, and this is why I give it the two thumbs up seal of approval!
HOW DOES LUSH DO IT?
By adding, Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar (Tartaric acid), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Cocoamide DEA, Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Cassis Absolute (Ribes nigrum), Cypress Oil (Cupressus sempervirens), *Limonene, *Linalool, D&C Red No. 27, D&C Red No. 33
OVERALL:
If you enjoy bubble baths, but are sick and tired of bubbles that die out as soon as you step into the tub, The Comforter Bubble Bar is a must have treat for anyone. Girls, and guys.

Review of LUSH Rock Star Soap

LUSH ITEM OF THE WEEK: ROCK STAR SOAP!
Rock star soap is made by Lush with all natural ingredients. None of that nasty chemical animal fat garbage that is found in many soaps on the market today. Most products made by Lush are vegetarian, and contain no harsh ingredients. Almost all of their soaps are vegan, and not to mention the fact that Lush does not, will not, and has not ever tested on animals. A major plus for us green earth lovers, and those who have a strong belief in animal rights.
Anyways, the Rock star bar is a lovely creamy pink colored soap that is cut from the block. It is a creamy based soap, and therefore does not melt as fast as some of Lush's glycerin based soaps. Don't get me wrong though, it does melt faster than the average bar of soap.
My Rock star bar came sealed with a kiss. (That's what Lush prints on the box anyways) Usually Lush soaps are wrapped in a deli like wrapper with a deli sticker and will have the name of the person who handmade your soap. Also there should be an expiration date. Thats right,I said some soaps expires.
Seeing how Lush makes most of their soaps with real fresh fruits and vegetables, the soaps do expire. However you will use them faster than they can expire, so it's really nothing to worry about.
WHO CUT THE SOAP!?
Everyone who orders soap from Lush should cut them. All you need is a sample sized piece, and the rest you should store away from any heat sources, seeing how they melt quickly.
You cut the soap to ensure many uses from it. And with the Rock star bar being a 3.5oz bar I got about 7 pieces out of it, and stored the rest away in the refrigerator for later use.
SMELLING LIKE A ROCK STAR!
Not exactly. Actually when I think of rock stars I imagine the scent of stale cigarettes, liquor, and sweat. Rock star is a girly scent, and smells more like cotton candy and gummy bears than it does anything else. I couldn't wait to put this one to the test and see how well it worked in the shower.
SO...
In the shower I brought with me a slice from the bar, and began rubbing it all over. The lather stunk and barely even produced a sud. It was more like applying lotion to my skin. The scent however was very sweet once the warm water hit it. It wasn't overly sweet, but to be honest this bar is something a younger girl would enjoy than me at 25. It's smelled way to strong of candy and I even detected the scent of cherry cough syrup which I was not fond of.
The soap lasted for the entire shower, and I even had some left over to save in the hand soap dish. I'd rather use it on my hands than my body.
DRYING UP:
After drying up, usually Lush soaps will leave a lovely scent behind on my skin, but Rock star seemed to disappear as soon as I dried up using a towel. Now the towel smells nice, but the scent was gone. The soap didn't leave my skin feeling any moisturization, nor a scent. WHAT A WASTE!
The rest of the bar I gave away to friends and family members to use on their children. It's a scent a grown woman may not like very much. I'd recommend it from 5-19. The scent is just too overpowering of candy and cough medicine in the shower for my likings.
ROCK STAR:
Yeah you'd have to be a rock star to afford this one. You only get 3.5oz of soap, and it doesn't;t do anything for your skin, and the scent does not even last. For $7.60 Rock star is a rip off.
HOW TO MAKE A ROCK STAR:
Propylene Glycol, Water (Aqua), Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, D&C Red No. 33,
IF YOU MUST TRY IT ANYWAY:
You can buy it any any local Lush store where you can get a larger cut of the soap for a higher price. If you don't have a Lush store by you, order it online at www.Lush.com, while you are there though check out Angel's Delight instead.
RECOMMENDATION:
Those fond of wasting money on soaps that do nothing for your skin, and have a foul cough medicine like scent mixed with candy. Blech! Everyone else; don't even bother with this one.

Review of LUSH - Sexy Peel Soap

Lush is brining sexy back, and in my quest to trying all soaps made by Lush, my next stop was Lush's SEXY PEEL.
At first I was in no rush to order this particular soap because for one, most soaps with a lemon scent usually end up smelling like furniture polish. Not only that but observing the picture, I wasn't sure how I felt about the abrasive lemon peels on top of the soap. I for one hate rough exfoliation in my bath products, and Sexy Peel looked like it had too much exfoliation by the looks of the photo on the website at www.Lush.com.
Sexy Peel only entered my online shopping cart because it is the most reasonably priced soap available from Lush. It came about 15 days later packaged up and sealed with a kiss. I love how Lush makes a customer feel special by adding such a cheesy little quote to the box.
Anyway, Sexy Peel was packaged nicely and well protected with tons of paper stuffing to keep it from melting or getting damaged in the transit. My bar was an almost perfectly cut square with yellow some yellow lemon peels sticking out of the top. The bar though looked nothing like what was on the website. I was actually glad to have gotten less of the lemon peel, so I was happy with my bar.
Sexy Peel was wrapped up in a clear wrap with a deli sticker on it. On this sticker usually Lush will add in the name of the employee who made the soap, and some will have an expiration date. Mine had neither. It was disappointing, and I felt like they rushed my order. Whatever! I was happy either way, usually I'm always happy with my Lush orders.
I could smell the subtle hint of lemon, but man oh man did the smell really take over once I peeled the wrapping off. The lemon scent was strong, and it hit my nostrils hard. It smelled just like lemon drop candy, it was mouth watering, and I could not wait to get into the shower to put it to the ultimate test.
Before the shower though, I cut my bar up into sample sized slices, and only took one slice into the shower with me. Sexy peel was a lot softer than most soaps, and I knew if I brought the whole bar in, it would just melt away really fast. I saved the rest of the slices in a cool dry place. (I stuck mine in my dresser draw, and it left my clothes smelling fantastic)
In the shower, Sexy Peel really got funky once warm water hit it. Warm water always tends to boost the fragrance of Lush soaps, and sometimes thats a good thing, and sometimes, bad.
Sexy Peel however kicked in hard, and kicked in strong, and not only that the kick was wonderful. The lemon scent was not fake, nor that of furniture polish. It smelled like freshly squeezed lemons, with a hint of sugar. I was in love.
LATHER:
The lather of the soap however failed terribly. Lush soaps don't usually have a rich luscious lather, and usually they barely even create bubbles. Sexy Peel fell into that category; only worse. The lather was almost non-existent, however I did feel like I was getting clean with my soap.
The small lemon peel shreds I could feel lightly brushing up against my skin, but they fell to the floor quickly, and I barely got exfoliation, which I didn't mind.
LASTING POWER-
Usually soaps from Lush have a scent that will last for hours after washing with them. Sexy Peel however vanished the moment I dried up. It was sad, but the 'in the shower' experience was pleasant. However not pleasant enough, I wanted this lovely lemon candy scent to stick with me, but it didn't. Big frown!
MOISTURIZED?
I have combination oily/dry skin. This soap didn't do much for my skin when it comes to moisturization. I didn't mind though, I usually don't look for moisturizing bath products. I buy them for scent, and usually that's it.
HOW TO GET YOUR SEXY ON:
You can order Sexy Peel online, or you can pick up a piece from any local Lush store. At Lush stores you can request how many ounces you want, where online you are limited to the 3.5oz bar.
HOW LUSH GETS THEIR SEXY ON:
Water (Aqua), Sodium Palm Kernelate, Propylene Glycol, Cornstarch (Zea mays), Lime Peel, Lemon Peel, Grapefruit Peel, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Fresh Lime Juice (Citrus aurantifolia), Fresh Lemon Juice (Citrus limonum), Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), Perfume, Grapefruit Oil (Citrus grandis), Fresh Grapefruit Juice (Citrus grandis), Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, *Occurs naturally in essenetial oils
RECOMMENDATION:
People looking for something to hydrate their skin, should pass this soap up. People who look for an aromatherapy type shower, should give it a try. It packs a lemony punch that will wake you right up and have you saying... ahhhh...at the low cost, it's worth a try.

Review of LUSH - Ooh La La Soap

Lush is good with making up excellent catchy descriptions for their soaps and other products. They use luring words like, overflowing with grape juice, or beds of fresh cut flowers when describing the scent of their soaps.
I lately have been addicted to their soaps, and want to try them all. I order a lot, and when you order from Lush they are kind enough to add in 2 samples of their products. However sometimes when you get your samples you're not so lucky.
One of the samples I received from Lush was a generous slice of Ooh La La soap. The soap itself was wrapped in a usual Lush style clear wrap, with a deli sticker on it. The soap was a very deep purple in color. When I unwrapped the plastic I noticed the slight scent of flowers, but I couldn't put my finger on it. It didn't smell like fresh flowers, and I certainly did not smell even the slightest hint of anything grape, like the website described.
I took my slice into the bathroom, and ran it across my wet skin. The smell hit me even stronger, I was no longer smelling just the slight scent of flowers...as I began rubbing the soap around I was getting hints of rotting flowers, and pepper! Yes pepper! It was awful.
I felt like I was washing my skin with rotting compost, and to make things worse, the soap also was dripping small drops of a reddish purple ooze to the floor. Great I hope this gunk doesn't stain! There was no lather at all. The lather was just the purple spills. So much for adding grape juice to your soap Lush!
I tried to withstand it, I tried holding my nose and take it because I'm one of these people that refuse to waste anything. The smell got so potent and spicy though, that I had to step out of the shower, and let the nasty gunk melt down the drain. This was the first time I had ever wasted a product from Lush.
After drying up I could still smell the horrid scent of taco bell all around me, so I was forced to re-shower just to get the meaty spicy smell off of me.
After all was said and done, I was happy that I received Ooh La La as a free sample instead of paying for it.
Luckily the purple juice that ran to the shower floor did not stain, otherwise we'd have a major problem.
WOW!
I was shocked to learn later on that Ooh La La is one of Lush's most expensive soaps available! What gives! It smells like taco bells garbage bin!? Lush wants $8.55 for a 3.5oz bar of this purple garbage.
You can purchase smaller pieces for less in any local Lush store if you have one nearby, if not you are forced to spend $8.55 on the 3.5oz bar. Take it from me though, if you are going to order from Lush, wait to get a free sample of Ooh La La to see if you like it before buying it.
I honestly don;t see who would want to wash with taco seasoning, but to each his own.
HOW LUSH MADE THIS ROTTING COMPOST SOAP:
Sodium Palm Kernelate, Propylene Glycol, Water (Aqua), Lavender Infusion (Lavendula hybrida), Honeysuckle Infusion (Lonicera capifolium), Marigold Infusion (Calendula officinalis), Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Grape Juice (Vitis vinifera), Perfume, Rosemary Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis), Thyme Oil (Thymus vulgaris), Lavender Oil (Lavendula hybrida), Lavender Absolute (Lavendula hybrida), Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, D&C Red No. 33, FD&C Blue No. 1, Lavender Sprigs (Lavendula hybrida), Rosebuds (Rosa centifolia)
WHAT LUSH.COM SAYS ABOUT OOH LA LA (and my own words thrown in for fun):
A soap so deliciously (ROTTING) overflowing with (SPOILED) grape juice , lavender (TACO SEASONING), rosemary (PEPPER) and thyme (ROTTING FLOWERS) it becomes a Provencal (NASTY) feast for the senses. Just one wash with this soap and you'll be (SNEEZING) transported to a (ROTTEN) sun-drenched cafe in the Mediterranean. C'est (NOT) magnifique.
RECOMMENDATION:
None; it's really a bad smelling soap. I still wonder if they sent me one that may of expired. SHAME ON YOU!

Review of Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Pie Paradise Lotion

Ohhhwiiieee! Halloween is my all time favorite holiday. It's the one night of the year that I can be someone else besides me. I can be a princess, or a witch, or a fairy, or a creature.
However, like we all know, it only happens once a year. You can't throw Halloween costume party's in July, even though I'm so tempted to. I love everything about Halloween, the trick-or-treaters, the way the sun fades at 3, and best of all the scents that come with Halloween. The smell of candy corn, pumpkins, and spicy apple cinnamon cider.
Recently while browsing through a local Bath & Body Works store I could smell Halloween. That spicy pumpkin cinnamon scent was somewhere in the room. Was it someone perfume, I wondered? Was it something I could buy here in the store?
Yes! I got the whiff of pumpkin pie as a girl in the store began rubbing a sample of some sort of lotion all over her skin. I got the shakes, and wanted to push her tush to the floor and grab whatever it was she had.
After a grueling 4 seconds the girl moved on, and I moved in. I picked up a bottle of lotion and walked up to the counter to buy it. Who would of thought lotion could capture a scent of Halloween.
What is this?
It was Pumpkin Pie Paradise lotion created by 'Temptations'. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!
I didn't have to do a lotion sample rub down in the store to know whether or not this was coming home with me. I grabbed the first bottle I saw, and checked it out. I was told by the girl at the counter that this scent would only be available again during their next semi annual sale. So being the girl I am, I went back and grabbed 4 more bottles. At $5 a pop it was well worth it.
The bottle of Pumpkin Pie Paradise is a golden light orange with the picture of a cartoon like pumpkin on the cover. There is 10 ounces of lotion within the bottle, and it has an easy to use click up cap.
I got home, stripped and began doing the full body lotion rub down. That's right, it smelled so damn good, I wanted to smell it everywhere. The lotion itself smells as real to pumpkin pie as a lotion can get. If I closed my eyes I could imagine the pie sitting right next to me. There was also a very light hint of cinnamon coming from the lotion. I was in love. I was actually tempted to go back and buy whatever they had left in stock.
Pumpkin Pie Paradise lotion by Temptations is a very light orange color, and reminded me of the color of fall leaves. The lotion itself is thick in consistency, but not overly thick where you are struggling to get it out of the bottle. It rubs on easily, and absorbs fast without leaving your skin feeling greasy or dirty.
SCENT POWER:
This is where I fell in love. Pumpkin Pie Paradise's scent lasts and lasts and...
I had the lovely scent of pumpkin pie on me for the majority of the day. The lotion may of not made my skin feel moisturized, but the scent was well worth the sacrifice.
The Temptations line at Bath & Body Works makes many different scented lotions with the same lasting power. I have tried them all, but Pumpkin Pie Paradise by far is my all time favorite.
They have captured the feeling of Halloween and placed it into a bottle.
FIND IT!
Pumpkin Pie Paradise is a bit harder to find as they are not offering it online as of now. However it comes back to the Bath & Body Works store every fall, and during there semi annual sales. The price is usually $8, but if you get it during the semi annual sales it's only $5. Even for $8 it is worth the price.
If you cannot wait till fall, or for the next semi annual sale you can always find this lovely lotion lurking all throughout www.ebay.com for reasonable prices.
RECOMMENDATION:
A big giant YES! It is a scent that lasts, and a scent that anyone who loves the fall will enjoy.

Review of Bath & Body Works Cinnamon Bun Heaven 3 in 1

I have become addicted to Bath & Body Works Temptations line. They have lotions, body scrubs, and washes in scents that are so true to there titles it is amazing. Alluring Apple smells just like a red delicious apple, Pumpkin Pie Paradise smells just like freshly baked pumpkin pie, and Wicked Hot Chocolate smells like 'wicked hot chocolate'.
However one of my favorite items for my shower has to be ands down, Cinnamon Bun Heaven 3 in 1. A 3 in 1 bath product consists of 3 different uses for one product. It;s a deal if you think about it. You get a body wash, bubble bath, and shampoo all for the price of one. In my opinion it's a 4 in 1 because you also get a delicious scent as well.
Cinnamon Bun Heaven came straight home with me because it smelled so real that I couldn't put it down. I'm not even a fan of cinnamon scents, but this 3 in 1 was so much more than just a cinnamon scent. It smelled just like mouth watering cinnamon buns, I could even smell the liquid sugar coating that is added to the buns. It was delicious.
Cinnamon Bun Heaven comes in a $5 4oz trial sized bottle, or you can splurge and buy the larger 16oz bottle for $12. I of course went with the larger because...I'm greedy.
The wash itself is a pearly white like brown color. The wash is also thick and feels creamy to the touch.
I always put all of my 3 in 1 products through the test of three. Lets just see how well Cinnamon Bun Heaven preformed.
AS A BUBBLE BATH:
I poured about a cap full or two under running water and watched as a nice coating of bubble covered my bath water. The bubbles were nothing spectacular, and they lasted for only about 10-15 minutes. It wasn't too bad. The bubbles however were a treat all their own. They smelled just like cinnamon buns. I was in bubble bath bliss.
Good news:
So long as you don't take hour long baths, and take a sensible 20 minute bath, the bubbles will last for the most part, and the scent of Cinnamon buns will last with you for a good hour afterward.
AS A BODY WASH:
YUMMY... ooeey gooey sticky cinnamon fun.
I usually buy my 3 in 1 products solely for the purpose to use them as a body wash.
I poured a quarter sized amount on to my bath puff, and began the cycle of scrubbing my skin. The lather was nothing to brag about, but it was well enough. I got a decent amount of bubbles, and was happy with the scent, and the clean feeling afterward.
Bad news:
Even though it smells lovely in the shower, once I dried up, I could not even smell a hint of the scent left on my skin. My skin also was not moisturized afterward, so using it as a wash; even though it smells great, it's for the most part a waste or product.
AS A SHAMPOO:
Hated it! Most of the Temptations 3 in 1's when used as a shampoo make my hair feel dry and brittle afterward. If you must use it as a shampoo always be sure to follow up with deep conditioner.
Good news:
The best thing about using Cinnamon Bun Heaven as a shampoo though is that the scent will last in your hair. A lot of Temptations products when used in your hair do not leave the scent behind, but Cinnamon Bun Heaven seems to leave you smelling like a delicious treat all day.
MORE GOOD NEWS:
You can buy this online at www.bathandbodyworks.com or at any local Bath & Body Works store. The price will remain the same unless there is a sale going on.
OVERALL:
Cinnamon Bun Heaven is a realistic smelling bath treat. I'm a major fan of this scent, and I hate cinnamon buns, it's really that good.

Review of LUSH -Demon in the Dark

When I think of Demons I think of that excellent show on The Discovery Channel A Haunting. I must say though, when I saw a soap called Demon in the Dark I imagined that it would smell bad. I never thought a demon could smell good. Lush is selling a handmade bar soap called Demon in the Dark, so of course I had to try it, because I love everything and anything supernatural.
The soap itself resembled demon skin, at least what I imagine what a demons skin would look like. Its green, with globs of white chunks in it, and is covered with black wax. I could also compare it to a fine green marble top kitchen or bathroom counter.
The black wax is wrapped at the top of the soap and is supposed to be peeled off, supposedly this black wax seals in the Demons scent. We shall see...
I got a free sample from Lush which consisted of about 3 inches long, and a half inch wide. Just enough soap for 2-3 uses. It was wrapped up in a clear plastic clear plastic wrap with a deli sticker from Lush holding it shut. The deli sticker usually has the name of the employee who made the soap, and the soaps expiration date. Because so many of Lush's products are made with fresh fruits and vegetables an expiration date will sometimes be on the soap.
My sample of Demon in the Dark was a soft glycerin mixed with cream to create a nice solid bar. It was probably the most solid bar I have ever gotten from Lush, but still it was soft enough to where I could easily slice the bar into pieces if I wanted to. It actually looked exactly like the picture I have included. Usually Lush soaps look nothing like the pictures Lush provides, but what you see is what you get.
SCENT:
I opened the seal and immediately got the scent of crest toothpaste in overload running up my nose. It was not disgusting, but I definitely did not know how well I wold like rubbing the smell of toothpaste on me. This scent was not minty, or herb like. It was straight up Crest toothpaste. I didn't know that demons smelled like toothpaste!
SHOWER:
I ran the water on me and began rubbing demon in the dark all over. The scent got 10 times stronger. It was a bit overwhelming, and honestly I was not enjoying using it. It made me feel dirty, and toothpaste is meant for my teeth, not my body.
The lather of Demon in the Dark was lame. I barely even got any suds from it. However I refused to let it melt down the drain. The scent may of been that of mouthwash and toothpaste, but I was determined to finish it up.
As the soap began to melt, I could feel small grains of some sort of grit scraping at my skin. It was not too scratchy, it was tolerable, but annoying nonetheless.
As I began scrubbing I could feel a cool tingling sensation all over my skin. It was nothing I have not experienced before though. Usually and soap or wash with mint as an ingredient will leave a cooling sensation.
I was confused by Lush's description. This soap was supposed to smell of apples with mint. I guess this sample piece didn't get any apples at all, because the only thing I could smell was toothpaste.
DRYING UP:
After drying up I could still smell the scent of spearmint gum all over me, but it was not as strong and overpowering as it was in the shower. Not only that but my skin felt tighter. I thought that it would dry out my skin, because usually anything that gives my skin a tightening sensation will dry me out. This demon didn't though, so it was okay.
I did feel clean afterward, and no residue was left behind on my skin, so this was a plus.
EXPENSIVE DEMON:
The soap itself is not cheap. It runs for $7.50 for a 3.5oz bar. If you order it from www.lush.com you can also add $8.20 for shipping. Uch!
HOW TO FIND A DEMON:
Like I said, if you must try Demon in the Dark you can order it at the Lush website I have posted above, or you can purchase it at any local Lush store. Check the Lush website for store locations.
HOW LUSH MAKES DEMONS:
Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerin, Mint Infusion (Mentha piperita), Apple Juice, Sodium Stearate, Mint (Mentha piperita), Spearmint Oil (Mentha viridis), Clove Bud Oil (Eugenia caryophyllus), Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita), Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, Perfume, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), FD&C Blue No. 1
LUSH ISSUES:
Many of Lush soaps are cut from a huge handmade block of soap. This is why sometimes you will get a bar that looks pink in one order, and blue in another. You never know what your going to get when you order online at Lush.com. Not only that but you also may get a slightly different scent with your second order of the same scent. A weak scented bar in one order, and a strong scented one in the next. Soaps vary even if you are ordering the same one over and over again. I myself though, enjoy the mystery with each order.
OVERALL:
Demon in the Dark is far too expensive for what it does; which isn't very much. The scent is too strong with the overpowering toothpaste smell, and it's really nothing a girl would like too much. It's more of a masculine scent, that us chicks should just avoid.

Review of Lush - Honey I Washed the Kids Soap

I am a Lush fanatic.
My quest: To try every single Lush soap available! My next voyage onto Lush's site brought me to Honey I Washed The Kids. I don't know why I waited so long to try this one. Perhaps it was the higher price for a 3.5oz bar of handmade soap?
Yeah, Lush charges $7.75 for this particular baby. The high price in my opinion is only based on Honey I Washed The Kids popularity. It is Lush's number one seller. Of course I had to have it.
My soap came packaged in the usual Lush shipping box. If you have never ordered from Lush before your order will come in a standard brown box with the Lush seal all over it, and the famous, sealed with a kiss stamped on it.
Honey I washed the kids was neatly packed and protected with surrounding newspapers and a copy of Lush Life magazine. Lush life magazine is a monthly issue that will feature most of Lush's items. Sadly though you cannot order from the magazine itself, you must go back online to place an order, or go to a Lush store to make purchases.
My soap was sealed in a clear plastic wrap with Lush's famous deli sticker on it to hold the wrap on. This sticker will have the name of the employees who handmade the soap, and an expiration date for the soap. I love the personal touch Lush will add at times, but lately with every order this information has been blank. Bah!
SCENT:
I pulled the sticker off, and peeled the wrap off, and immediately the scent hit me. No wonder this one is a best seller. The scent was not honey at all, it instead smelled of sweet caramel. It was as if someone had just placed a freshly dipped caramel apple in front of me. The smell was mouth watering, and intoxicating. God I hoped the scent lasted after using it.
LOOK:
Honey I Washed The Kids is probably the most interesting looking piece of soap, on the site. In person however the look of the soap is nothing like the picture Lush displays. The honeycomb for one is so small and did not contain the honey comb shaped discs like in the picture I have added. Instead the soap you will be getting will be a caramel colored cream soap, with a small quarter inch of glycerin amber colored soap attached to the top.
I usually cut all of my Lush soaps into sample sized pieces and only use on piece at a time, and when I tried cutting this soap, my task proved to be no easy task. The amber glycerin topping on the soap peeled right off. I had to cut the slices very slowly to keep the honeycomb attached. I knew though that once I used this in the shower most likely it would fall off anyway.
In the shower I was right. the glycerin honeycomb fell right to the floor. I scooped it up quickly and rubbed it all around. It produced little to no lather at all. However I did get some lather out of the creamy caramel colored section. It was nothing to write home about but it was fair enough, and the scent was just fantastic.
In the shower Lush soaps tend to get stronger once warm water hits them. The smell of warm caramel was easily detected, and I could actually detect a slight hint of honey. Surprisingly this soap was supposed to smell more like honey than caramel, only it barely smells of honey. You have to sniff hard to even get the subtle hint of the scent.
DRYING UP:
I really prayed that this sweet scent stood with me after I dried off. However once I was dry, so was the scent. Sigh! I really wanted this one to last, but it didn't. My towel smells good though. But me, I just smell like nothing.
My skin didn't feel any more hydrated going in than it did coming out either. But to be honest the scent in the shower was so wonderful, I was willing to forgive Lush for this mishap. I just wish they'd make a lotion in this scent.
HOW LUSH WASHED THE KIDS:
By adding, Honey Water (Mel Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Perfume, Beeswax (Cera alba), Sweet Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Aloe Vera Extract (Aloe barbadensis), Aloe cupensis), Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Titanium Dioxide
WASH YOUR OWN KIDS!
You can purchase this at Lush's website at www.Lush.com or you can purchase it at any Lush store. Go to the site for locations.
OVERALL:
Honey I washed the kids is a lovely experience in the shower, sadly though the scent vanishes after you dry up. However I will order this one over and over again just for the lovely aromatherapy session I got in the shower while using it. This one reminds me of Whether's Originals all the way.

Review of LUSH - Aquamarina Facial Cleanser

With my last Lush order they were kind enough to add in 2 free samples for me to try out. They do this in hopes that I will order the funk they packed in as a sample if I like it enough. In my last order I got 2 very strange products I would never have bought on my own. Aromaco which is a deodorant bar, and Aquamarina which is a facial cleanser. I was more than happy to try them both out, but before I cover Aromaco in a later review, I wanted to fully discuss Aquamarina.
WHAT IS IT?
Aquamarina is probably the strangest concept when it comes to facial cleanser, for one it does not come in a jar, nor does it resemble any cleanser I have ever used before, as a matter of fact the picture Lush uses on the site reminds me of a disgusting sushi roll. The cream cleanser is wrapped and rolled in a blanket of seaweed. Aquamarnia also has a shelf life of only 3 weeks, so after 3 weeks you MUST throw it out, or you could break out. Lush uses fresh ingredients, and when the word fresh is used when it comes to Lush products, it means that spoiling is part of the deal.
My sample came in a sealed dixie cup container, with the usual Lush deli sticker on it. Now what bothered me the most was the fact that Lush did not add an expiration date! How am I supposed to know when this particular sample was made? And how am I supposed to know when to throw it out after 3 weeks if I don't have the 'made on' date, or an expiration date? For all I knew this could have already been expired seeing how it took 2 weeks to get to my door!
Anyhow, I popped off the top and the scent of fish hit me immediately. It wasn't a nasty rotten fish scent, but the smell of something fishy was definitely present. I imagined it was the chunks of seaweed that were wrapped up in the cream. The sample looked nothing like the picture Lush included, but the salmon colored cream was almost exact, only a little lighter. Rumor has it that you will only get an actual 'roll' if you buy it in the store. My sample was pretty much just scooped from and plopped into the cup, with the salmon cream all piled up in one corner of the container, and shards of seaweed on the other. I didn't mind though, it's still all the same either way.
I decided to not over think it, and use it anyway. However I was confused about how to use it. The cream was a bit thick and sort of dried out, so I wet my face first and then began rubbing the cream onto my face, which made it slide around easily without any issues. The fishy smell was extremely obvious, and I could also smell a subtle scent of something citrusy. Fish and oranges. Yay! My favorite combination. Ugh!
The seaweed was a bit slimy and hard to scoop out, honestly though I didn't want it on my face, it looked like seaweed taken from a dirty swamp, and I was in no rush to place these miniature pieces of seaweed, that looked like leeches, on my face.
I scrubbed the cream into my face for a good minute and then rinsed off, and I can report that, yes, the result were immediate. My skin felt softer the very moment I dried off. However after a good hour or so, the moisturizing soft feeling vanished. Again this is one of Lush's temporary products, as in it works temporarily. Sigh!
With long term use of Aquamarina you should get softer skin, and the reduction of pores. I have used it for about a week, and I can say that my skin was softer overall, but only 'after' using it, and my pores were still very present, and it did not subside acne breakouts.
I will say I don't mind Aquamarnia's scent, it is subtle enough as to where you're not gagging on fish guts. But I will also say that long term use of a facial moisturizer with a nice scent can give me the same results. Seeing how Aquamarina is a bit pricey $7.95 for just 3.5oz of product I probably won't buy it on my own. Not only that if this gunk expires in 3 weeks, there is no way I would be able to get through the entire container before it spoiled.
WHERE TO BUY IT?
You can buy Aquamarina at www.lush.com, or you can pick it up at any local Lush store. If you get it from the store, make sure you ask the employee when the product was made. You don't want to bring something home that was made 2 weeks ago, and now only has a 1 week shelf life. That'd be a waste.
HOW TO MAKE SWAMP LEECH FACIAL CLEANSER:
Glycerin, Calamine Powder, Kaolin, Irish Moss Infusion (Chondrus crispus), Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe barbadensis), Sea Salt (Sodium Chloride), Nori Seaweed (Fucus vesiculosus), Sweet Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin), Carrageenan, Perfume
OVERALL:
Aquamarina does soften skin, the smell is not very pleasing, and you can get the same results from a cheaper facial lotion with a nice scent. For me Aquamarina is a wasteful bust.

Review of LUSH - Karma Soap

I've never been a hippie except for the exception of Halloween. I've been in and out of head shops however and I associate the smell with hippies, and rainbows, and all of that good stuff from the 80's.
When I was told Lush's Karma soap smelled just like a head shop I had to try it out for myself. I love the scent of patchouli, and this is the main scent you get from Karma soap.
However when my sunny side up orange bar came in the mail, the scent actually reminded me more of a shop where supposed 'witches' sell you herbs and oils to use in rituals. I have always been fond of these shops, I love the mystery they try and sell, and most of all I love how every time I walk into the mall I can smell the witch shop.
I wasn't about to smell like a Hippie, I was about to become a witch!!!! Akkk akkk akk hhharrr!!!!!
Follow your nose...
Thats exactly what the Karma bar smelled of. I could see how some people could compare it to a head shop, but for me...It takes me to the magic shop when associating its scent with anything familiar.
Anyways, Karma can be bought at any local Lush store in a larger cut, but online you are limited to buying the 3.5 ounce bar for $7.60. I will admit the price nearly chased me away, but let me tell you a little bit about Karma before you turn it down.
Karma has to be the strongest, longest lasting soap I have EVER used from Lush. , and believe me, I have used nearly all of them, and Karma by far sticks out above and beyond all of the rest.
TIP- If you order Karma bar, order it alone if possible. I once ordered this bar with 3 other soaps, and those 3 other soaps smelled of Karma just because they rested in the same box as Karma during transit.
Karma soap is a glycerin based soap, so it is recommended to cut this bar into sample sized pieces, if you use the whole bar in one shower, a lot will melt, and if you leave it in the shower soap dish you will find it a pile of slime the next day, so cut your soap into bout 7-8 pieces and store the leftovers in a dresser draw. (The scent will be left on your clothing).
I didn't even have to shower to get the scent of Karma to stick with me for the entire day and night, and into the next day. As I cut the soap the scent naturally stuck to my hands. That scent stood with me for 24 hours, and some. I was only imagining what it would be like all over me. Would it be too overpowering?
Actually, yes. (For some though, it's heaven)
In the shower Karma does not produce much of a lather. The suds are weak, but the scent becomes 10 times stronger. I rubbed it all around, and was amazed at how powerful the scent had become with each stroke. The entire bathroom smelled of Karma, even after the shower the bathroom still smelled of it for hours.
Karma did not dry out my skin or leave any residue behind, but it sure left the scent. I was in full bloom Karma, ready to start the day.
Almost everyone that walked by me, or I walked by complimented the scent, and they could not believe I got such a powerful punch from a bar of soap. This soap is like no other, and shouldn't even be labeled 'soap'. Its an invention all its own.
The scent lasted on me till my next shower the next day. This however may be the only downside about Karma; after 24 hours of such a powerful lasting scent, you may get sick of it.
You really have to have an acquired liking to patchouli in order to appreciate this soap. It's one of them scents that you will either love, or hate. But if you like the scent of head shops, or little magic supply stores, this is the scent for you.
Now for the Karma name... I didn't get any good karma that day, nor bad. So the bar kept me balanced. Haha!
OH YEAH!
Karma is definitely worth a dip into the wallet!
However, like I said, if you are not a person who loves nag champa incense and patchouli, steer clear of this soap. Everyone else; you're going to love Karma soap.

Review of LUSH - Gratuitous Violets Soap

"Pheewwiie, Melissa, you smell like an old dying lady today!" That came from my cousin. I wanted to cry. I thought I smelled all right. I had just washed up using my favorite brand of soap; Lush. I had spent a lot of money on that damn bar of soap. And now I'm being told I smell like an old fart. Great! Just great! I wonder if Lush will give me a refund on this embarrassing scent soap.
"What the heck did you put on? Woof!" She continues.
"Well, I ordered this soap from Lush because they promised that I would smell like... like...gorgeous and creamy violets." I say.
"You smell like a vase of rotting flowers, thats old lady perfume, come on you're lying!" "No, really it's called Gratuitous Violets, on the site its gorgeous, and I bought it for $7.25 for a 3.5oz bar."
She then begins to laugh, "You spent almost 8 bucks on that garbage, ha hahahaha..." "Actually after shipping costs, it came to about $19... tee-hee" (Blushing)
Thats when I knew that not all soaps Lush makes has a good scent, just because it's a powerful scent. I sort of knew I smelled like an old woman when I began using it, but I figured I was just being too judgmental, and the scent would lighten up a bit after drying off. The soap itself was very, very soft, and I would compare it to a piece of sculpting clay, or an eraser. I could bend it easily, and if I bent too much it would break. I took my bar and cut it into slices, and saved the rest in a cool dry place.
In the shower the Gratuitous Violets barely made lather, none of Lush soaps make for a good lather though. The soap itself is a creamy soap, and is a actually a lovely creamy lavender colored bar, and instead of lathering actually made a creamy lotion like lather on my skin. This color is mainly what made me purchase it. Aside from the color, when the soap hit warm water I could smell the old lady perfume like scent, and it also seemed like they tried to rejuvenate the old woman scent by throwing in some baby powder, because thats what I was smelling. Old lady perfume covered up with some baby powder. The soap that thinks it has found the fountain of youth.
After using the soap I rinsed off, and it didn't leave any residue behind, not did it dry my skin out, so I was happy about that. There are quite a few Lush soaps that will leave your skin feeling parched. This soap however was nice in the aspects that my skin felt nice and clean afterward, and I could still detect a slight hint of flowers. I thought it smelled okay, besides it was light enough as to where only I could smell it. So I thought.
I continued using it daily, up until I met with her; my cousin! That day I learned my soap made me smell like I was 70. After she aid it, the scent seemed to really take over. I could smell the scent she was explaining, maybe it was a mental thing, but suddenly I felt like I was enveloped in a vase of dried out flowers, I smelled...old! Ancient even!
Even though it leaves my skin feeling nice, I have no urges to ever purchase this one again. I will let everyone else buy it up, or wait for Lush to discontinue it and replace it with a more modern scent. Ech!
WHERE TO BUY IT?
If you are still interested in smelling like an old mama, you can buy this cut off the block handmade soap at any local Lush store, or online at www.Lush.com. You can request (God only knows why you would though) a larger cut. It will cost more, but you will get more. Online you are limited to a 3.5 ounce cut. Like I said earlier the soap will run you $7.25
RECOMMENDATION:
Now even though the soap is a scent that I can't see many enjoying, it did make my skin feel much softer after long term use. However after being told I smelled like I was on my way to the grave, I had to quit using it. Someone may like this smell though and reap the benefits of how it makes your skin feel. To each his own. Just remember, people around you...the ones who will be ready to tell you that you stink like an old lady...if you can handle the ridicule, go for it!
HOW TO MAKE OLD LADY SOAP:
Sweet Violet Leaf Infusion (Viola Odorata), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Perfume, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Titanium Dioxide, Cananga Oil (Cananga odorata), Violet Leaf Absolute (Viola odorata), Cedarwood Oil (Cedrus atlantica), Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, Isoeugenol, D&C Red No. 33, FD&C Blue No. 1

Review of Bath & Body Works Home Fragrance Oil: Iced Tea Twist

I was never a huge fan of iced tea, but I have always been fond of the scent it gives off. Any tea, warm tea, or cold tea. The refreshing lemon zing, enlightens my senses and makes me feel more awake. When I came across Bath & Body Works Temptations line of scents, hands down Iced Tea Twist was by far the most realistic scent that captured the smell of iced tea without missing a beat.
I stocked up on everything available, the lotion, the body wash, and of course the oil. I was a bit hesitant at first because the little glass bottle was so small, and the price was a bit high. It cost $7.50 for just .33oz.
Not only that I had to buy an oil burner in order to burn the oil. So almost $20 later I finally had everything I needed to get this oil burning. You can also use this with a cheap oil burner from a dollar store, and really save some money. Or if you don't want to spend a thing after the oil purchase you can always boil up some water in a pot in your kitchen, and add in a few drops of this oil.
MY USE:
When I got home I put in the oil burner a teaspoon of water and about 5 drops of the oil. The oil comes out in drops seeing how the release tube is designed to come out slowly. You must shake the bottle to get the oil to come out in drops. You do not have to over do it. You want to put the water in ensuring that you get the most out of your drops.
The scent was heavenly coming out of the bottle. It was much stronger than the scent of the lotion or wash, it was more concentrated, so the scent was very overpowering, and not to mention mouth watering.
I then lit the tea light, and waited. It took about 10 minutes for the oil to heat up and began releasing it's lemony tea scent all throughout the living room. It was heavenly, and actually prepared my mind to begin making my own iced tea. May as well enjoy the whole experience while you can right?
After about 2 hours the entire burner dish was empty. However even with the oil being evaporated through the air, it remained there. The lovely lemony scent lasted for hours, and anyone visiting always thought I was brewing fresh tea and would suddenly 'get thirsty', and would compliment that the house smelled delicious. I know!
The bottle even though it is small, can easily last months with everyday use, A few drops goes a long way, so really the price is well worth the amount of uses you get out of the small bottle. Great things come in small packages.
OTHER USES:
I don't need to buy perfume to smell good; and besides we all know that perfume is just concentrated oil mixed with alcohol, so why not just get the scent? Thats what I do! I simply put a drop of Iced Tea Twist oil on my wrist, and I will smell of the delicious summer time scent all day. It is a cheap and effective way to smell great for hours without spending a small fortune on perfume, thats watered down with alcohol anyway.
The concentrated oil is what packs the scented kick that lasts for hours, and thats exactly what Iced Tea Twist does when used on the body!
FRESH BREWED ICED TEA:
You can buy it at any local Bath & Body works for $7.50, or you can purchase it online at www.bathandbodyworks.com for the same price. As of now there is a but one get one sale going on, so you can scoop up this scent, and another scent you know you will like. (I myself though would get 2 of the Iced Tea Twists, seeing how Bath & Body Works sometimes discontinues scents after some time. I stock up while I can).
All in all, Iced Tea Twist home fragrance oil is a must try. You will love it even if you are not fond of the drink.

Review of LUSH - Coalface Facial Cleanser

Sick and tired of greasy skin? Done with breaking out? Finally had enough of your high school skin still effecting you in your older age!? Well I did too! And if I knew that I could have gotten rid of my pimples and greasy shiny looking face with such a simple product, I would have been using it for years.
Lush though has been a recent discovery of mine, and ever since I have been a devoted customer. I love that their products are all natural, vegetarian, and that they do not test on animals. I don't mind spending a little extra on products that I know are chemical free.
However, when I buy items from lush, usually I only buy soaps, but on a recent transaction I decided on a facial cleanser. They have facial cleaners for all types of skin, but seeing how my face is oily, and prone to break outs Lush recommended Coalface.
WHAT IS IT!?
It looks like a bar soap, but this soap is not designed for your body, unless you want it to be. It could rid your body of acne if that is where you suffer from it. However it;s primary use is for the face. It is a solid black bar that you wash your face with. I cut my bar into slices so I could use one small piece at a time. One small piece in the soap dish will last almost a month.
Lush claims that licorice and coal are the ingredients used to calm and cleanse the skin. I found it odd for them to add coal into a facial bar, but I was more than willing to try. I was sick of my mirror like shine of a forehead. I was willing to try anything.
PACKAGED:
Coalface came packaged in a standard brown box, with the Lush logo on it. It was sealed up with black tape that read, 'sealed with a kiss'. My bar was tightly wrapped in a clear plastic with a deli sticker with Lush's logo on it. On the sticker Lush sometimes will add an expiration date, and the name of the employee who made you soap.
Thats right, MADE YOURSOAP! All of Lush's products are handmade with fresh ingredients.
STINKY POO POO POO!
I enjoy the scent of licorice, and was excited to get my first big whiff of Coalface. When I tore off the plastic seal though I was blown away with this ones scent. It wasn't very much like licorice at all, as a matter of fact it sort of reminded me of farts. My bar smelt like it had a lot of sulfur in it, because it sure did stink!
Even with the not so pleasant scent, I was willing to give it a go.
I rinsed my face, and slowly rubbed the bar around my skin. It slid easily, and I could detect a bit of exfoliation coming through. The coal is actually what causes the mild exfoliation. Usually I hate anything gritty on my face, but I was glad that it didn't hurt or leave any odd sandy particles behind.
OUCH!
I got a bit of Coalface up my nose while rinsing, and let me tell you it burned like hell. So be careful when you are using this bar, and make sure you avoid your eyes, I have yet to get it in my eyes, but I have heard from others that it's pain like no other.
MY SKIN:
After drying up my skin felt very tight, but not too tight as to where I couldn't blink. My face also felt very dry, but this is a good thing when you have oily skin. The soap didn't dry out my skin as to where it was peeling, but left it feeling smooth and soft. If I had normal skin, most likely my skin would have peeled, so when I say this is for people with oily skin, I mean that!
After just one use, I felt an immediate difference, and not only that I saw one. My skin did not shine up once for the entire day. I am now sold for life. A true Coalface fan till the day I start needing face lifts.
LONG TERM USE:
I used Coalface every single day for a week when I first got it, and let me tell you this is by far the best cleanser I have ever used. My skin does not shine by mid-afternoon, my pimples are gone, and I have yet to get a break out since using it.
After about 3 weeks, I only had to use the bar once every other day to achieve the same results. My skin is left much softer, clearer, and even has a frigging glow! Hot diggity dog!!!
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY:
You can obtain Coalface at any local Lush store nearby, or you can buy it online at www.Lush.com for $10.45 for a 3.5oz bar. Let me tell you though, if you cut this bar into soap dish sized pieces you can have it for months. It's a harder soap compared to most of Lush's soaps, so it does not melt quickly at all.
If you order online expect your order to arrive in 12-15 days. Not only that if you order online Lush throws in 2 samples of their products. I also enjoy ordering online because rumor has it, they ship out ingredients that are fresh, compared to in store good, where the products may be a lot older than you'd want.
HOW LUSH MAKES COALFACE:
Liquorice Root Decoction (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeordora), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Powdered Charcoal, Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Perfume, Silver Edible Lustre (Potassium aluminum silicate, Titanium dioxide, Iron oxides and hydroxides)
OVERALL:
I am willing to forgive Lush for it's rancid stink, because it works so well.
RECOMMENDATION:
Heck yes, everyone with acne prone/oily skin should give this one a try. It may not be everyones solution, but it has saved me from embarrassing break outs, and I usually react badly to anything that goes on my face.

Bubbles of Rockport VS. Lush

I'm a Lush addict, and recently took a dive into the tub with bath bombs. I usually never liked baths until I discovered just how comforting a bath bomb could make you feel.
Lush has a nice collection of surprising bath bombs, some small, and some large. Lush's as of now only carry about 21 different scents and bombs. There sizes range from 3.1oz to 6.3 ounces. One would think that smaller bombs would cost much less, but this is not the case with Lush's bath bombs. Small ones can even cost more than large ones. The prices start at $4.25 and go do not exceed $5.95.
Some of the scents you can find on the site at www.Lush.com are rose, lavender, sugar, mint, and many others. Some of Lush's bombs even come packed with a special touch such a seaweed, flowers, or in the most recent 'Sugar Rush' bath bomb case; food.
When it comes to Lush's bath bombs they either have a complete hit or miss. You will find yourself adoring a bomb, or hating it. Lush's descriptions also are not always up to par.
I have been lucky enough to try out a pretty good handful of the available bombs, but recently I came across a site offering larger bombs at very affordable prices. www.BubblesofRockport.com have a much larger selection than Lush does, and not only that each bomb is a set price of $3.99. These bombs reminded me a lot of Lush's bombs, but I found myself somewhat more impressed! The descriptions are easy to understand, and the pictures the site added were nearly marvelous. Some of the bombs looked delightful enough to be an actual pastry.
I assumed though, that they would not be any good because they were so much cheaper than Lush's bath bombs. I however decided it would be better to try a few out before going back and ordering from Lush's expensive collection. I ordered 2. I liked the price, and I liked the pictures. I had to try them.
I ordered Fortune Cookie bath bomb, and Monkey Love as a trial run, to see whether or not I liked these bombs.
The bombs came safely, just like Lush's bombs. Now the next test was the scent. Both of them were lovely. The fortune cookie bomb smelled of sugar cookies, and the Monkey Love bomb smelled like fresh bananas. Both bombs were very large and could easily be compared to a baseball.
What I liked about these bombs were that all of them are large. Lush only offers a few larger bombs.
In the tub they lasted, and Monkey Love had actual banana chips inside of the bomb that floated around while I soaked. Fortune cookie actually came with a fortune that I could read after the bomb melted. Not only that, this particular bomb came with a piece of soap in the shape of an actual fortune cookie. The added touch was lovely.
In the tub bubbles of rockport bombs were easily just as good as Lush's bath bombs. However Lush has a smaller selection, and their bombs are much more expensive.
Now I am still a die hard fan of Lush, but I can honestly say that Bubble of Rockport is probably going o be my one and only stop for bath bombs from now on.
There selection includes all sorts of scents that would tickle anyones fancy. Scented such as marshmallow, candy, any flower you can think of, chocolate, vanilla, perfumes such as jlo, champs, and many other fashion scents, banana, apple, peach, apple pie, strawberry, lemonade.
Honestly the selection is huge, and the prices are a steal compared to Lush.
LASTING POWER:
Lush bombs will fizz from 3-7 minutes depending on the size. The smaller bombs of course fizz out quickly, but still pack a scented silky punch. Bubbles of Rockport also take around 7 minutes to fizz out leaving behind a lovely scent, and making the water feel smooth.
EXTRAS:
Lush bombs have a select number of bombs that when melted leave behind flowers, candy, food, confetti, or other odd objects floating behind. Bubbles of Rockport also has bombs that when melted leave behind interesting floating artifacts. In my opinion the surprises that come out of Bubbles of Rockport are more unique than Lush's surprises.
In Bubbles of Rockport you will have confetti in some bombs, Mardi gras beads in others, candy, plastic spiders, witches, or ghosts, sprinkles, and glitter. But what really sets Bubbles apart from Lush is that many of their bombs come with an extra attached piece of soap. I really like how they go the extra mile, and give you a free soap for so little money.
OVERALL:
Bubbles of Rockport hands down has a much better selection of bath bombs than Lush. If you are a Lush fan you must at least try one bomb. The prices are right, and the bombs are wonderful.
Each of Bubbles of Rockports bath bombs has a scent all it's own. I don't know how many times I have ordered from Lush and have had bombs that smelled extremely similar to one I have already used. Bubbles of Rockport is a definite star when it comes to bath bombs, and a must try for any bath lover, lush lover, and bath bomb lover. These bombs are unique compared to anything available now

Review of Philosophy Lime 3 in 1Bath Product

I have tried numerous items from Philosophy. Not because I wanted to, but because I got a basket full of Philosophy fruits for my past birthday. The fruits consisted of 3 in 1 bath products. OooOOO... my favorite.
I had tried a bunch of the different scents before grabbing hold of Lime. Not because it's a bad scent, but because it was hidden in the bottom of the basket.
The Lime bottle is white overall with a lifelike picture of a lime on the cover. It's very pretty, and the lovely bottle is probably why so many people are fast to scoop them up. The catchy slogan on the bottle reads 'You Deserve The Lime Light'.
Anyways, the bottle itself has an easy to use click up cap, and it contains 16 ounces of gel. The gel itself is a transparent (obviously) lime green color. The consistency is thick compared to Bath & Body Works 3 in 1 products.
3 in one products in my opinion are the best value out there. Now the $16 price tag may scare you, but if you think about what you are getting, it's practically a steal. 3 in 1 is basically a body wash, bubble bath, and a shampoo all packed into one bottle. If you were to buy all 3 products separately it would cost much more.
SCENT:
In the past I have tried Philosophy and not been impressed with the fake chemical like scents. I immediately thought that Lime would be like all of the rest. A fake nauseating scent. However after my first initial whiff, I was impressed. It was lime all right. But not like the fresh lime fruit. It reminded me more of a subtle sugary lime scent. It was not bad, it was actually quite pleasant, however it was not realistic. Either way, there was no way I was going to not try it just because the scent was a bit off.
SHAMPOO:
I'm usually hesitant when it comes to using 3 in 1 products as a shampoo. Other 3 in 1's I have used have left my hair feeling dry. However just for this reviews purpose, I had to give it a go.
I squeezed out about 2 quarters worth of the green gel, and began rubbing it throughout my hair. The scent was lovely, and the lather worked up almost immediately. A little goes a long way.
What was most impressive though is that the lather actually felt moisturizing. That meant nothing though, I would know how well it was once I rinsed it out.
RINSE:
Yes it left my hair a bit dry, but honestly all shampoo leaves my hair a bit dry until I add conditioner. So thats what I did. The results were normal, nothing to brag about. My hair was left looking like it always does. Regardless, after a quick blow-dry, the lime scent remained lightly in my hair, and I liked it.
Overall, as a shampoo Philosophy Lime is not too bad. I actually favor it above the rest of the 3 in 1 products I have used.
BUBBLE BATH:
The results vary on the type of water you have. You can end up with a decent pile of luscious bubbles, or a flat fizz pop bubble bath.
MY BATH:
I added in a generous squeeze to my running water, and bubbles began to form the moment the gel hit the water. However the bubbles didn't last longer than 10 minutes, and I honestly didn't get that many. I can say though, that the bubbles I did get were the lovely lime scent I had grown so fond of.
If you add more product you can expect more bubbles. But to be honest I think you'd end up wasting a lot, for just a few more bubbles. If you must have the bubble bath only one quick squeeze or two is all you will need.
Overall: My bubble bath was 'almost' okay, but not quite there.
BODY WASH:
My favorite! This is the main reason I buy 3 in 1 products. To use them as body wash. Usually though the scent never lasts on my skin, and I wasn't expecting it to last on my skin with Philosophy Lime either.
I added a quarter sized drop to my bath puff, and began rubbing away. The lather was very moisturizing and felt silky on my skin. It was probably the most enjoyable lather I have ever gotten from a body wash. Color me impressed!
After rinsing off, and stepping out, the scent vanished. I was sad to no longer be able to smell it, but the lather was worth it either way. My skin did feel a lot more hydrated afterward, and the need to apply lotion was non-existent.
Overall, Philosophy Lime worked well as a wash, but I would of loved for the scent to stick around for awhile afterward.
I have used nearly all of the Philosophy fruit scented 3 in 1's and Lime is by far the best one in the group. If you are a fan of the lime scent, you won't be disappointed in this one. They have smaller sized bottles available in select stores, but they are much harder to find.
GO GET SOME LIME:
You can order Philosophy Lime directly from the Philosophy site at www.Philosophy.com under the fruits section. The price remains at $16. In my opinion it's well worth the purchase.

Review of Bath & Body Works: Alluring Apple Lotion

Red delicious apples are a summer time favorite treat of mine. The delicious crunchy sound I hear when I take a bite, and the mouth watering scent is one of a kind. Or so I thought.
Bath & Body Works is selling products from the Temptations line. What a line it is! This company can bottle up a scent so true to life that it's stunning and amazing. I have come across products by this company that smell just like cinnamon buns, chocolate, pumpkin pie, blueberry muffins, and caramel. Thats seriously just naming a few though.
When I got my first inhalation of Alluring Apple, I had to have the whole line. But one of my favorites is the lotion, and this is because this lotions scent lasts for hours and hours. I need only apply in the morning and the night to smell like red delicious apples all day.
I bought the 10oz squeeze bottle for $8.00, but as of now you can scoop this realistic flavor up for only $6.00. I plan on taking a pit stop today to my local store and picking up whatever they have remaining.
PACKAGING:
The bottle itself comes off as a pink color, but in reality it is clear. It looks pink because it is generously filled to the top with the pink colored lotion. The bottle itself spells out the name Alluring Apple in bold light green letters. Underneath the lettering is a cartoon like drawing of an apple. I must say though, that the packaging is not the most attractive looking bottle in the world, but what is inside surely is.
The top of the bottle has a standard click down cap, you then squeeze, and wallaha...lotion.
The scent will hit you the moment you click up the cap. A potent sweet scent of red delicious apples lies inside.
USE:
I apply everywhere. I do not focus on one specific spot. The lotion itself is semi thick, but once rubbed in will absorb within minutes, and will not leave any greasy oily feeling behind. Once the lotion absorbs it's gone, but the scent stays.
The lotion however will not leave you feeling all moisturized, and if that is what you are looking for from a lotion you should avid this one all together, but for those of you whom buy things solely for their scent, Alluring Apple is a sure pleaser.
One full body rub down, and you will be apple scented for about 8 hours. After that you can re-apply, or move on to another scent in the Temptations line.
WHAT I LOVE:
I for one love the scent, but what I love most is how the there is no chemical scent left behind, or fake scent. I don't know how many apple scented products I've bought that smell like toxic apple, or clay dough apple, or just fake. Alluring Apple seriously captures the scent of the summer time fruit to the tee. There is nothing odd smelling coming from it, or off. When I say 'to the tee', I mean, 'to the tee!'
I also love how long it lasts. Because of that I only have to re-apply about once more for an all day and night lasting scent, that others recognize and compliment. The 10oz bottle easily will last me for about 3 months with regular use.
AVAILABLE:
Alluring Apple is also available in a 3 in 1 bath product, and a home fragrant oil.
As of now you can buy all 3 of these products at www.bathandbodyworks.com. Act now because they are on sale, and sometimes it can be a year before a particular scent is released again during a semi annual sale.
You can also obtain this scent and many more at any local Bath & Body Works store. This is usually the best way to go, seeing how you won't have to pay for shipping charges.
OVERALL:
Alluring Apple lotion is a major favorite. It is a scent that will seriously have your mouth watering, as you imagine taking a bite into an apple.
If I didn't know any better, I'd want to eat it.
RECOMMENDED?
HECK YES!
