Review of Perry Ellis, Night, Fragrance for Men

When I first got around to using a sample of Perry Ellis Night, I had no idea that this adoring scent was one for men. Granted it could be a unisex scent, it is made for men. However it's so nice that I imagine women will silently pick this one up for themselves.

The Bottle:

Perry Ellis Night comes in a black bottle, with a plain black topper. The topper is rather large and feminine looking so it easily could be mistaken for a fine scent for women as well.

As far as the bottle being worthy of keeping once the scent is gone though, depends on your collecting habits. Night is rather bland as far as visual appeal goes, ans likely you wont keep this bottle.

The Scent:

The first scent that hit me when it came to Night was it's lemon like refreshing tickle. It's nearly a pine lemon scent, one you may associate with furniture polish, however the light bay breeze scent mixed it transforms this household scent into something a little more magical, and less Mr. Clean. Granted my description of the scent may not sound too wonderful; the scent truly is.

At the same time though, Perry Ellis Night is very familiar to another scent that many of us already know and love, and to me that is CK One. Calvin Klein One is a legendary favorite, a timeless scent that never grows old. Night smells like it in many ways, with its own little unique spin off, which I think many perfume and fragrance addicts will love.

Last:

So it is true, there is a lot to love about Perry Ellis Night, but the love affair can quickly die, especially if the feelings don't last. In this case, the scent.

So how does Night way in as far as lasting scent goes?

Well rest assure, Perry Ellis Night can remain your secret lover, as it will last and last and last some more. This new fragrance packs a long and powerful last, one that will impress not only yourself, but those around you.

Overall:

A win, win, win. Perry Ellis Night in my opinion will be loved by both men and women, ands truly I wish they bottled this one up as a unisex fragrance, that way I wouldn't have to feel so weird whenever I purchased it.

Review of Perry Ellis Platinum Label, Fragrance for Men

When I first got my nostrils caught up in the wondrous whirlwind of new Perry Ellis Night, a fragrance for men, I was thrilled to have been given a sample of Perry Ellis Platinum Label. I hoped it would deliver a similar twist to Night, only more elusive, refined and naturally platinum. So how does this one weigh in?

First the bottle. I love the bottle of Perry Ellis Platinum Label. It's got this high beam silver finish, which some of you may recall seeing on JLO After Dark Glow, a unisex fragrance. The Perry Ellis Platinum Label bottle has that same eye catching mirror glaze to it, which I am sure will be worthy of saving even once the perfume is all drained out.

The Scent

Sadly, for me, this is where Perry Ellis Platinum Label fails to impress. A nifty eye catching bottle fails to pack a nifty scent in its pretty shell. It is not necessarily a bad scent, it is just one that has been done over and over again. A fragrance you can find in Calvin Klein, Usher, and mobs of other designer fragrances for men.

I cannot blame Perry Ellis though, they are just following the trend of what is in, and what is making sales. However if you were looking for some new unique spin on fragrances for me, stick to your old school CK fragrances.

Last:

Where some make the mark, and other fail to impress when it comes to long lasting scent, Perry Ellis Platinum Label makes the mark and passes with flying colors, as this scent will stick around for quite some time. A few squirts on a jacket and you will still take in whiffs of the scent a day later.

Overall:

All in all Platinum Label is a decent scent. Is it one to go wild over? Far from it, as you will recognize it as all too familiar the moment you sniff in traces of it.

Review of Perry Ellis, Fragrance for Men

This past week I had the pleasure of getting freebie samples of fragrances for me by Perry Ellis. This set included 3 different delicious fragrance's, and the one up on the chopping block today is Perry Ellis. Noting fancy to follow; just simply Perry Ellis, which I imagine is their first scent in their growing collection of fragrances for both men and women.

Perry Ellis comes in a standard bottle, nothing fancy or worthy of keeping afterward. It has some sort of unique embellishment on its bottle, but I am not sure it was necessary, I suppose it just allows the bottle to stick out amongst its competition.

The Scent:

The problem I have with fragrance's for men, is that most of them all smell the same. A fresh scent with a masculine spice added to the mix. Mostly though, many of them smell like bug spray, only with a hefty jaw dropping price tag.

Perry Ellis follows suit to the trend of bug spray type scents, only they add in a little something sweeter, which sets this one apart from it's other bug repellent friends. As the scent fades down a bit it subsides into a more mellow musk like mixture, which is still very masculine, but less buggy-be-gone, in scent.

Last:

Another plus besides the unique fragrance is the fact that it sticks around. Many designer cologne's do it right, and others fail to have a long lasting fragrance, Perry Ellis however did their fragrance right by making it one that lasts and lasts, thus making this scent all the more desirable.

Overall:

It's manly, it's long lasting, and it is one that the ladies around you will like. All in all I find this particular fragrance for men a winner. If you are having a tough time buying holiday gifts for that special fellow in your life, then check this one out for him.
