Review of the Foreo Luna Mini

I was lucky enough to get an invitation from BZZAGENT to purchase a Foreo Luna Mini for just $39, which is literally $100 off the normal pricing. The catch though is simple, something I enjoy doing anyway. The catch was; for the discounted price, I had to provide my honest opinion on the product.
I was not in the market to picking up a facial device, nor was it even something on my mind, however, after discovering the retail price of this tiny little facial wonder, I went ahead and made the purchase and eagerly awaited my device.

I chose pink, and it finally arrived just about a week ago. Inside of the box you have this very strange looking near egg/orb shaped disc. The top of it has small silicone bristles ranging in size from the bottom to the top.

A small USB cable was included to charge the device, and a warranty card to register my unit in case it ever decides to flunk out on me. The warranty is for 2 years, which says a lot about the company. They truly stand by their product! For $139.00 though, they'd better stand by it!

Charging the unit took about 45 minutes total, and according to the included pamphlet the one charge would literally allow me 300 uses before I needed to re-charge it. Not too shabby if you ask me. I am nowhere near 300 uses though so I cannot quite yet say for sure if that rings true or not.

How To Use The Foreo Luna Mini:

Operation is very easy, and I absolutely loved how silky the device felt when holding it. It does not feel like a clunky piece of garbage for its tiny size. Instead it feels like a really nice and sturdy high quality made device.

You simply wet your face, apply your usual cleaner, and then you turn the Luna Mini on by pressing the button indentation located in the lower middle of the device. You press it once for a slow vibration for softer areas like around the eyes, and you press it again for a harder vibration.

I found that the higher setting cleansed best for me all over, so this is the setting I use.

Once the device is powered on you then simply move the silicone little tabs around on your face for one minute. You can also turn the device over for thicker silicone tabs for your t-zone/oily spots for a deeper cleanse.

You do this for about one minute, and simply rinse your face off.

The Verdict:

After just one use, I could immediately feel a difference. My skin had felt cleaner than it ever had, and my skin was left baby bottom soft! My face had a slight tingling sensation after using it, but that was likely due to the vibrations of the device. The feeling was delightful though, no complaints whatsoever!
The best part about it though was that the small silicone fingers trapped dirt that normal cleaning would not have gotten. After using the device on my face for one minute, I could literally see how much dirt and makeup the silicone fingers had captured, and I thought that my face was already clean!

It was a deep clean feeling, unlike you could ever experience using just standard hand washing of your face.

I was immediately impressed, and what I really liked was that the super soft clean feeling did not just vanish after a few moments. My skin was left feeling totally renewed after just one, one minute session with the Luna Mini.

After One Week:

After one week of using the Luna Mini twice a day my skins texture overall is softer, I have yet to experience a breakout, blemish or malfunction with my skin since. I am prone to breakouts too, so waking up and not finding a new pimple or zit on my face is a very nice feeling.

The one con I noticed about it however is that my skin on my forehead is normally shiny/oily. The Foreo Luna Mini did not really do all that much to subside that shine. Although there is no more oil than usual, I would have truly loved it to eliminate this issue all together.

Why It is Better Than The Clarisonic:

I find that the Foreo Luna Mini is better than the Clarisonic because it is not as abrasive to the skin, and even those with the most sensitive skin will not be bothered using it. It uses silicone fingers that can be easily cleaned over and over again, and there is no need to purchase replacement brushes. This alone saves a whole pile of money over time.

Overall:

The Foreo Luna Mini may be a pricey little device, but it is truly worth its weight in gold. This is my go to device every time I wash my face now, and I cannot see myself without it. I am such a believer just one week into use that I am ordering it's big sister shortly to see if it works better than the Mini.

Will Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight & Fade Gel Really Help Get Rid of Breakouts in Just 8 Hours?

Once in a while I will get breakouts, and it's annoying because it makes me feel gross when my skin is not in tip top shape. Luckily I do not suffer from sever acne, but even a pop up here and there can make you feel that way. I have tried everything, and most products either dry skin out, or irritate it and make breakouts occur in litters, instead of just a few pimples or small zits here and there.

I had seen commercials for some sort of on the spot pen, but when I went looking for it, I came up blank. I went with Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight & Fade Gel instead, as it promised to not only reduce break outs in just 8 hours, but it also promised to minimize and fade post acne marks. Thus the 2-in-1 addition to the name.

I had a nice big nasty growth on my chin and all I wanted to do was zap it away, and watch it fade away in 8 hours as the package claimed it would.

The tube that the gel comes in is rather small, but this one is designed to target particular bumps and break outs, and not meant to just be randomly spread all over your face. The gel itself has an orange coloring to it, it is easy to find on shelves, as the orange color will stick out on the package.

I twisted off the cap and squeezed very lightly on the tube to release some of the gel. The pimple was not open, but the moment the gel touched my skin I felt a stinging like zap. It was not at all painful, just surprising. Like it just killed all of the gross bacteria within the skins surface.

8 hours? No.

Immediately? Just about.

The pimple was pretty plum and disgusting before applying the gel, and within just a few minutes it was reducing in size, redness, and it was drying up. As if the filthy monster was slowly dying.

It took just 1 more small graze of the gel the following day to completely zap the pimple gone. I did have a small layer of dry skin in the area that I simply brushed away.

Overall I was pretty shocked at how quickly, and how well this particular gel worked. I will not leave the house without this one now, as you never know when a little nasty will pop up on you trying to ruin your day. Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight & Fade Gel is like zap away, and it's gone.

I would recommend this one to anyone who has an occasional pop up, and no longer wants to deal with it.
