Review of New Soap & Glory Perfume Spray, Formula 2

I have finally gotten my mitts on a bottle of Soap & Glory Perfume Spray, Formula 2. I had heard about this scent for nearly 2 months now, and no matter how many times I checked my local Target for it I could never find it. I discovered today just why I couldn't find it.

Would you believe that Target displays the Soap & Glory Perfume with the rest of the stores perfumes, and not on the shelf with other Soap & Glory products?! Stupid idea, Target, stupid idea!

At any rate, it took forever, but finally I got my hands on it. The one and only perfume that I have been looking for since I first heard about it many month ago.

Prior to finding it I kept coming across reviews stating that Soap & Glory, Perfume Spray, Formula 2 smelled nothing like the original formula. I don't know what others have been sniffing, because Formula 2 is the original formula right down to the very tee.

Initially the perfume smells very, very manly, and I could see how some would consider that completely unrelated to the original Soap & Glory scent, but in just a few short moments the strong spicy manly scent tones down into that smooth addicting flavor we all know and love about the original Soap & Glory scent. Not a single note of the first stinky manly alcohol like scent I got from the perfume stuck. It vanished leaving behind the sweet, sweet fragrance of my original Soap & Glory love. It was exactly as I had hoped it would be. Perfection in a bottle.

So fans of the original Soap & Glory scent, fear not, this perfume will please you as it has not been changed or altered. As I stated, it smells very odd for the first few seconds, but give it a few moments, and blammo you'll be in bliss; girly, girly, delicious bliss.

Before getting into how long the scent lasts, I wanted to mention the packaging, and of course the bottle.
Formula 2 comes in an adorable black box, with the usual Soap & Glory logo on it. It does not feature the retro black ad white photos on the outside of the box like most products in the line does, however when you open the book style box you will be invited into an awesome collage of retro womanly photos. A collection of clips all smooched together to create this neat retro wrapping paper type vibe.

It's cool, really there is no other way to put it.

Sitting smack dab in the middle of this neat black and white photo collage is your bottle of perfume; Soap & Glory, Formula 2. Oh yeah!

The super cute bottle is black, and features the logo on it in pink metallic lettering. The bottle topper is clear, and features pink roped tassels hanging from it. The bottle is totally worthy of keeping after the perfume is all gone. It's got such a cute retro feel to it; a bottle worthy of collecting.

With that aside I now have to discuss the perfumes lasting power.

Initially I was worried that the fragrance would quickly fizzle down to nothing very quickly, due to the fact that the package says when the scent fades, mist again. This made me think that the scent would fade quickly (that's a slogan that I suggest the company remove from the package).

Thankfully though I didn't need to re-spray it because the last is long lived. It's been 2 hours since my first test spray on my wrist, and the fragrance has stuck with me long and hard. Every inhale I take my senses are filled with the girly goodness of Formula 2. It has yet to fade even the slightest. I imagine on clothing the scent would stick to it for up to an entire day. It's strong. It's powerful. It's wonderful!

Overall Soap & Glory Perfume Spray, Formula 2 is fantastic. If you are already a fan of the line than you will not be at all disappointed. If you are not new to Soap & Glory, than start here with Formula 2 you'll be hooked, and loving every minute of it.
