Is She Worth Playing With? Review of Givenchy Play For Her, Perfume for Women

Givenchy Play For Her is one of Givency's newest fragrances for women, and it comes in one of the most unique perfume bottles I have come across in a really long time. The bottle itself will trick you into thinking it is some sort of ultra girly mp3 player, due to the fact that it contains a play, fast forward, stop, and rewind display embedded into the bottle toward the bottom. Rimming the mp3 wanna be are tons of little crystals that add some bling to your bottle.

It's definitely a bottle worthy of keeping due to the unique gadget like twist they added to it.

So the bottle is cool, yes, but how does the scent come in to play?

Givenchy Play For Her is a very light scent, which smells powdery and all too familiar.

At first I hated it, and continued to hate it, as it reminded me of a fragrance I recall smelling years earlier; one that I was never fond of.

Play For Her is a powdery amber scent that is low key, yet the type of stink that gets to me and envelopes me in this cheap sickening powdered amber. It reminded me a lot of a spin off on bath and body works sensual amber. Granted Sensual Amber is a decent scent, Bath and Body Works kept making spin off scents that simply stunk; like Givenchy Play For Her. It stinks.

Last:

Luckily the stink is not long lived, which in my case was a good thing. For those of you whom do like this scent however, you will be irked with the fact that it will only stick around for a few short moments before completely dissipating into nothing.

Overall:

Sorry folks, this one just fails to make the cut for me. It is over priced, cheap smelling ad generic, and a scent that smells way too familiar to something that has already been done; over, and over again.

Combine a sickening scent with nearly no last at all, and what you have is a waste of money; so do yourself a favor and sample this one first before going out to buy it.
