I really had no clue what to expect from Sebastian Stark Naked Shampoo when I was given a bottle of it for Christmas.
My cousin raved about how it removed excess buildup and how much she
loved it. I was hesitant to use it though due to damaging my hair after
bleaching it. The last thing I needed was a drying/stripping clarifying
shampoo. Being that she swore it would make my hair shine healthy again,
I of course went ahead and gave it a try.
The first thing I hated about it was how thick the shampoo was, and
how utterly ridiculous the bottle was. You must squeeze it out of the
top, but the plastic it comes in is very hard and awkwardly shaped. With
the shampoo almost glue like thick the result ended up being that the
plastic silver cap ended up popping of and wasting a lot of the shampoo.
I sighed and went ahead and used it.
The Scent:
Sebastian Stark Naked Shampoo has a very strong and cheap perfumed
like fragrance to it. It is a unisex shampoo but it has something more
many in its scent than it does feminine.
My Use:
Applying Sebastian Stark Naked Shampoo is tedious because it does not
work into a quick lather like most shampoo will. I ended up having to
use a lot more of it just to get it to work into a lather and fully
saturate my hair.
As I began to work it up into a lather, I hated the shampoo even more.
My hair began feeling like straw. It felt dry, parched and brittle. I
was horrified. I had been working so hard at fixing my damaged hair and
maintaining the moisture and softness of it, one use with this junk and
all of my effort was in vain.
I rinsed it out as quickly as I could and drenched my hair in a moisturizing conditioner.
The conditioner helped a tad, but I used more of it after rinsing just to really get my hair feeling soft and moist.
Overall:
Sebastian Stark Naked Shampoo is disgusting. If you have a gross
amount of hair product buildup I feel this one will strip it out, but
you will likely be sacrificing the overall health of your hair as this
garbage is beyond drying. It felt for me as if I soaked my head in a vat
full of rubbing alcohol and dipped it into gasoline, that is literally
how dry my hair was after using this shampoo.
If you already have dry or damaged hair skip this one like a plague.

Devoted Creations Special Reserve Tanning Lotion or Devoted Creations Forever Black 50XXX?
I have started up my indoor tanning salon sessions again, and whenever I
head back to the tanning bed for dark tan results, I usually end up
debating on which tanning lotion to purchase.
Devoted Creations Special Reserve was a favorite of mine a year ago, and when returning to the salon I noted that this lotion was still a customer favorite and I was simply going to buy it again, but Forever Black 50XXX also sat next to my last summers favorite, and the price was nearly the same. The inner debate for me was which one would I buy?
Special Reserve delivers scrumptious sun kissed results the very first time using it. It is not an illusion, your tan will literally darken even after you leave the salon so long as you do not rinse it off too quickly.
Then we have Forever Black 50XXX which was brand new to me.
I decided to go ahead and buy the sample packets for both of the lotions just to see which one provided me with the darkest tan. Whichever sample packet worked the best would be the winner, and I would splurge and buy the full sized bottle.
Special Reserve did not change a bit, I applied it right before my first 10 minute tanning bed session, and immediately could see that I looked tan and I had not even stepped into the tan bed yet. I knew once I did my session and got out that the color would likely be intensified, which in fact it was.
Special Reserve for me was a complete win again!
The formula has not been tampered with and it delivers a fantastic fast deep bronze tan, without looking orange or fake. The scent is semi fruity with a cocoa undertone to it, which smells nice for a indoor tanning lotion.
Up next was Forever Black 50XXX.
The lotion on this one is a tad bit more runny than the thicker texture of Special Reserve, and it absorbs into skin without leaving it looking bronzed any.
I could only hope the color would deepen up when I used it in the tanning bed.
No such luck though for me. Forever Black 50XXX felt like a gimmick because it did nothing to intensify my color. The scent was nicer than Special Reserve, but the results were not even there.
I used Forever Black 50XXX twice, back to back for 2 days and my tan actually looked like it was lightening. Basically that told me this lotion did squat.
Overall:
Devoted Creations will forever be my go to tanning lotion brand, but when it comes to which lotion is the best, hands down Special Reserve wins by a landslide.

Review of Organix Every Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shimmering Keratin Oil
I have been a fan of Organix hair care products for quite some time now,
and due to their lower and affordable prices I end up picking up
something new from their collection at least once a month.
My hair has been undergoing a long and tedious healing process after dying it blonde and stripping it of every healthy fiber it had left. Over time I have been going back and forth from different conditioners and leave in treatments to attempt to heal it as fast as possible.
When I came across Organix Every Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shimmering Keratin Oil I was pretty excited because I have never come across a dry oil spray that did not help my hair, and this being Organix, I figured it would work rather well.
I enjoyed the results I got from their thick coconut oil serums, but those oils are a bit too thick and tend to really weigh my hair down.
Organix Every Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shimmering Keratin Oil was a fine mist, which is meant to be sprayed into damp hair, or onto dry hair to tame flyaway hair.
I was not concerned about flyaway hair though, I was more concerned with split ends, dry ends, and damaged hair all around. Apparently when you spray it into damp hair, Organix Every Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shimmering Keratin Oil is an instant healing mist, which will help damaged hair, instantly add shine, and glow.
It sounded peachy to me!
My Use:
On damp hair, the effect is very instant. After showering and misting this into my hair, it was so much easier to brush through my hair. As I styled my hair it was in fact softer, shinier, and it felt healthier.
I loved it.
On dry hair, it instantly adds shine, and it also seems to leave the ends looking significantly healthier.
Aside from Organix Every Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shimmering Keratin Oil actually working wonderfully, it smells so delicious! I am a huge fan of Biosilk as it is one of my favorite scented serums. Organix Every Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shimmering Keratin Oil has a scent that is very close to Biosilk, but it has a sweeter more honey like tone to it which is just beautiful.
Even if this one did not work as promised, I would buy it for the scent alone. The plus though is that it does deliver noticeable results instantly.
Overall:
Organix Every Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shimmering Keratin Oil is a must have for me from now on. I love the scent, I love the instant results, and I love how it absorbs into hair, and does not leave it looking too shiny or greasy. It adds the perfect amount of glow, with no weighing down or build up.

Review of DC Women's Chalet Suede Action Sports Boots- Armor/White
I had the cutest pair of snow boots a year ago, only the seller stopped
selling them online so I began a quest to find equally appealing snow
boots for this upcoming winter season.
This was basically how I came across DC Women's Chalet Suede Action Sports Boots. They came in a bunch of different colors, but oddly enough anything outside of the white/armor color scheme asked for double the price, which I thought was ridiculous. However seeing that I liked the white and gray color combination, I decided to go ahead and get them for a low price of $49.50.
I placed my order in a size 8, and waited for them to hit my front porch.
The Quality:
Quality of the DC Women's Chalet Suede Action Sports Boots are definitely there. They are made of suede, and the DC logo on the outside of the boots are lined with semi sparkly rhinestone silver studs. It's just that added extra flair about the boots that initially made me buy them.
The suede you will want to protect by spraying suede protecting spray on them before wearing them out. I learned a hard lesson after scuffing the suede the second I wore them.
This of course has nothing to do with the quality of the boots, it was my own fault really.
Aside from that though, there is something off about the boots, and that is the sizing. I am normally a size 8.5 sneaker. I placed the order for a size 8, because I knew that boots tend to run a little larger. However the DC Women's Chalet Suede Action Sports Boots run almost a size and a half larger.
The inside boot with the faux fur trim is removable, so you can wear these boots without the fur lining. However if you take the liner out, the shoe is so large that it'll slip right off your foot. Now even with the lining inside of the boot they are still almost a half a size too large and it does not at all feel normal walking in.
The fix for this issue is that you could order a size smaller. If you are a size 8, order the size 7. However if you placed an order too late you could wear thicker socks for added traction, but even still it will not feel right.
Overall:
They are comfortable boots, and they are warm. The sizing is way, way off, but aside from that they are beautiful boots and I would highly recommend them.

Review of the Foreo Luna Mini
I was lucky enough to get an invitation from BZZAGENT to purchase a
Foreo Luna Mini for just $39, which is literally $100 off the normal
pricing. The catch though is simple, something I enjoy doing anyway. The
catch was; for the discounted price, I had to provide my honest opinion
on the product.
I was not in the market to picking up a facial device, nor was it even something on my mind, however, after discovering the retail price of this tiny little facial wonder, I went ahead and made the purchase and eagerly awaited my device.
I chose pink, and it finally arrived just about a week ago. Inside of the box you have this very strange looking near egg/orb shaped disc. The top of it has small silicone bristles ranging in size from the bottom to the top.
A small USB cable was included to charge the device, and a warranty card to register my unit in case it ever decides to flunk out on me. The warranty is for 2 years, which says a lot about the company. They truly stand by their product! For $139.00 though, they'd better stand by it!
Charging the unit took about 45 minutes total, and according to the included pamphlet the one charge would literally allow me 300 uses before I needed to re-charge it. Not too shabby if you ask me. I am nowhere near 300 uses though so I cannot quite yet say for sure if that rings true or not.
How To Use The Foreo Luna Mini:
Operation is very easy, and I absolutely loved how silky the device felt when holding it. It does not feel like a clunky piece of garbage for its tiny size. Instead it feels like a really nice and sturdy high quality made device.
You simply wet your face, apply your usual cleaner, and then you turn the Luna Mini on by pressing the button indentation located in the lower middle of the device. You press it once for a slow vibration for softer areas like around the eyes, and you press it again for a harder vibration.
I found that the higher setting cleansed best for me all over, so this is the setting I use.
Once the device is powered on you then simply move the silicone little tabs around on your face for one minute. You can also turn the device over for thicker silicone tabs for your t-zone/oily spots for a deeper cleanse.
You do this for about one minute, and simply rinse your face off.
The Verdict:
After just one use, I could immediately feel a difference. My skin had felt cleaner than it ever had, and my skin was left baby bottom soft! My face had a slight tingling sensation after using it, but that was likely due to the vibrations of the device. The feeling was delightful though, no complaints whatsoever!
The best part about it though was that the small silicone fingers trapped dirt that normal cleaning would not have gotten. After using the device on my face for one minute, I could literally see how much dirt and makeup the silicone fingers had captured, and I thought that my face was already clean!
It was a deep clean feeling, unlike you could ever experience using just standard hand washing of your face.
I was immediately impressed, and what I really liked was that the super soft clean feeling did not just vanish after a few moments. My skin was left feeling totally renewed after just one, one minute session with the Luna Mini.
After One Week:
After one week of using the Luna Mini twice a day my skins texture overall is softer, I have yet to experience a breakout, blemish or malfunction with my skin since. I am prone to breakouts too, so waking up and not finding a new pimple or zit on my face is a very nice feeling.
The one con I noticed about it however is that my skin on my forehead is normally shiny/oily. The Foreo Luna Mini did not really do all that much to subside that shine. Although there is no more oil than usual, I would have truly loved it to eliminate this issue all together.
Why It is Better Than The Clarisonic:
I find that the Foreo Luna Mini is better than the Clarisonic because it is not as abrasive to the skin, and even those with the most sensitive skin will not be bothered using it. It uses silicone fingers that can be easily cleaned over and over again, and there is no need to purchase replacement brushes. This alone saves a whole pile of money over time.
Overall:
The Foreo Luna Mini may be a pricey little device, but it is truly worth its weight in gold. This is my go to device every time I wash my face now, and I cannot see myself without it. I am such a believer just one week into use that I am ordering it's big sister shortly to see if it works better than the Mini.

Review of Tarte High Performance Naturals, Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed
I can go with or without blush in my makeup regime, but to be honest,
with blush on, I truly can create an illusion of higher cheekbones than
what momma gifted me with.
I used to buy blush by MAC, but after they stopped selling my particular rose plum color in their stores, and I was forced to seek it online for prices higher than what the stores would sell them for, I gave up on MAC blushes all together. I just could not find the right color, as everything the store seems to carry is almost too florescent on my skin tone.
I began using a neutral plum by Neutrogena, and I liked it enough to buy it twice. However recently I was gifted a small compact of Tarte High Performance Naturals, Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in a color called exposed.
Exposed is supposed to be their nude color, but once I popped the top off of this baby I noticed that it looked a lot deeper in red tones with a slight plum undertone. It actually reminded me a lot of the color I once was a fan of in the MAC collection.
I finally got around to trying it just the other day. Supposedly this stuff will stay put for 12 hours, but a lot of cosmetics promise this whole 12 or 24 hour budge free promise, and only a small handful of those promising such tall tales are actually telling the truth. The rest just love to advertise it for the sake of trying to get suckers like you and me to buy in.
What was interesting about this blush though is that it was supposedly baked naturally in the sun. I thought that was sort of cool, but then I started imagining flies landing on my pallet, and I was not so thrilled about their bake in the sun methods. If there was a disclaimed stating it was baked in a fly free zone, I would feel better about the situation. Of course I am only kidding. But truly, Tarte High Performance Naturals, Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush was baked in the sun, not in some furnace. Not that it makes a difference to me anyway.
How does Exposed look?
My skin is pretty pale this time of year, and seeing that I have not had time to go pay for a fake tan, I am relatively as white as my Indian skin gets. Oddly enough, that is pretty light. Exposed works for me though, it gives just the right touch of a plum redness to my cheeks as to where it blends without looking too red and dark like most other lighter blushes.
For me exposed works, it gives me a sort of sun kissed redness that is just deep enough to accentuate my cheekbones.
The color is not too shimmery, which I am not a fan of seeing that I use highlighting powder just above my cheekbones, too much shimmer makes me look greasy.
Tarte High Performance Naturals, Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush gives just enough.
The 12 hour promise though is a little far fetched, and it only looks good for about 4 hours till a minor brush touch-up is required.
All in all though I like it a lot. It cost just about what I was spending on MAC, but far more than the Neutrogena blush. In all honesty I would likely not buy it again due to the price and the fact that Neutrogena's blush works just the same and looks just the same on my cheeks.
If you have the money to blow though, and for some reason want this particular brand, than by all means go for yours, as it is some really nice and decent blush.

Review of Montagne Jeunesse Aloe Vera & Willow Blemish Mud
So once in awhile I will have a break out, it happens still, even at an age nearing 30. I wash my face regularly, use creams, and serums to keep my skin looking as fresh and young as possible, and in turn, I still get break outs. Curse of genes.
I decided to try out a mask by Montagne Jeunesse, called, Aloe Vera & Willow Blemish Mud. I hoped using the mud mask would help diminish the breakout and keep future breakout from occurring for the time being. I have used the masks before in the past, and always liked them, so I figured I would like this one too.
Application:
Applying the mask is easy enough, you tear open the individual use package, and wipe the mud onto your face.
The scent was semi harsh at first, with a minty sort of tinge to it. I figured the mint would dry out the breakouts I presently had. I was not to keen on that though, because my skin reacts oddly to feeling dry. It will produce more oil, which in turn produces more breakouts.
While drying the mask will leave your face feeling very dry, and extremely tight. It's not an unpleasant feeling though at all.
The mask took around 20 minutes to fully dry to a white clay that eventually I wiped away with a warm moist towel.
Results:
My skin felt clean, but as far as feeling like the mask did anything, I sadly would have to say no. Once the clay was cleaned off from my face my skin felt exactly as it would feel after doing a quick facial scrub. Clean, but nothing really else to report.
Now here is where I got really angry about my purchase. You see, the following morning I woke up to 2 brand new basketball sized bruisers on my face.
Overall:
Garbage. The mud mask was supposed to keep my face from breaking out, but instead it seemed to irritate it so much that it caused 2 monstrous sized pimples to form on my chin and forehead.
All in all, I would suggest skipping out on this one.
