Nivea Skin Firming Moisturizer

Nivea cellulite creams and lotions have always been some of my favorite affordable products when it comes to smoothing out cellulite. When I came across a bottle of Nivea Skin Firming Moisturizer I figured it would be a winner, seeing that their cellulite creams do such an effective job at smoothing over bumps. Plus its a moisturizer, so I'd also be providing a nice benefit to my skin, especially in the winter when my skin gets parched.

The firming lotion sadly did only a minimal job, and did not work quite as well as pricier cellulite/smoothing/firming creams from Nivea.

The scent however is angelic, with a newborn baby powdery scent to it that is long lasting, addicting, and smells fantastic. I get compliments on the fragrance nearly every time I wear it. It truly tricks people into thinking it is an expensive designer fragrance, when really it only came to around $8.00.

So I still recommend it, even though it does not do wonders as far as firming skin, it wins in the scent department, and it's good for your skin too.

Nivea Body, Goodbye-Cellulite Gel Cream

Hey there bumpy thighs, looking for a way to smooth over some of that ghastly looking cellulite?

Yeah me too. I feel your pain hunny. I know how badly it sucks to step into your summer shorts only to discover how horribly your cellulite bumps show themselves off in sunlight! Ugh, a nightmare.

Although Nivea Goodbye Cellulite Gel Cream won't completely remove cellulite, it will in fact diminish the appearance of the bulge if you use it daily.

I buy 2 tubes of it every spring and begin the routine of rubbing it into my thighs and butt every day, twice a day to reduce the appearance, and I must say it does smooth out cellulite quite effectively.

The downside however is when you stop the routine, the cellulite will shine through once again, and it comes back a hell of a lot faster than it did smooth away.

The plus side though is that Goodbye Cellulite Gel Cream is a lot cheaper than it was a few years ago, so keeping up with the routine daily is not going to take you to the poor house.

Review: Soap & Glory Sensational Scrub Actually

I cannot get enough of Soap & Glory products!!! About a month ago I came across a body scrub that I initially loved, Soap & Glory Sensational Scrub Actually.

As with all Soap & Glory goodies, Sensational Scrub Actually comes in a standard stand up squeeze tube, and it does feature that original delicious amber like musk scent that Soap & Glory products have, only it had a deeper pine scent to it, that reminded me of Christmas trees. I loved it, refreshing scent, and it left skin smooth and feeling like silk.

Unfortunately I discovered something about it that totally grossed me out, and caused me to throw away the entire bottle.

I leave all of my bathing goodies on the side of my tub, and yesterday I went to use some Sensational Scrub Actually to rid my skin of the humidity ick.

When I popped open the pop up lid, I was disgusted by the foul odor it let out.

The cap actually captured and held in some old shower water when it was closed up the last time I used it. Due to this air pocket collecting thee water, it over time collected this foul stench that you smell in dirty ponds; aka mosquito hatching grounds. I'm sure you know the stench. Like when you dump old rain water from a bucket!

Yup, that was the stench left behind that got trapped in the lid.

It totally spoiled the product, which sucked because I did not have it that long, and it was rather pricey at around $12.00 for the scrub.

I wish Soap & Glory would change the lids, because IFoam also had the same issue. It also ended up in the trash, which is a disappointment!

Get This Instead!

Review: Soap & Glory Mist You Madly

If you took the time to read through my blog, you probably already know that I'm a huge fan of Soap & Glory. They make some of the most delicious body products I have ever come across, with scents that are simply addicting, and unique.

When I came across Mist You Madly, I was going to skip on it, because the asking price was nearly $15.00.

Once I sprayed a sample of it in the store though, I knew there was no way I was leaving the store without it.

The scent does not have that original scent that most Soap & Glory products have. Instead it features a much sweeter note of flowers, and candy, and the scent is delicious. It does have a very subtle tint of the original musty amber Soap & Glory scent, but it's very subtle, and unless you are a fan of the original you won't notice it.

The mist comes in a cute package, with that retro black and white look that all of their products come in. Inside the packages is a nice tall pearl pink stand up spray bottle.

The scent lasts, but it does not last all too long. Spraying it on my clothes allows the girly scent to stick around for longer periods of time, but all in all about an hour is what to expect as far as last.

I really like Mist You Madly, but would have preferred to see it sold in smaller purse size bottles in order to easily tote it along with me for daily touch ups.

All in all though, Mist You Madly is a decent buy, and I would buy it again.

Review of Village Naturals Cucumber Mint Foot Soak

Check it out dolls, Walmart sells Village Naturals Cucumber Mint Foot Soak, for under $5.00.

Personally I have tried numeorus foot soaks, ranging from high end soaks from Bath & Body Works, to cheaper Dollar Store soaks.

Village Naturals Cucumber Mint Foot Soak is right dab in the middle, running in under $5.00. For 20 ounces of the salts, it seemed like a deal to me.

How Well Does It Work?

Well for the low price I spent, I was surprised at how nicely it worked. In warm water it gave off a nice minty uplifting scent that provided an energized aromatherapy buzz.

It also left my feel feet soft, and tingly. The softening feeling stood around for about 3 hours, which was decent consideringthe low price.

All in all, this is one foot soak that I would defientley recommend, especially in the sandal wearing season!

Review: Vitamin Conditioner Mangosteen Yogurt

Is Vitamin Conditioner Mangosteen Yogurt Worth Buying? Let's Find Out.
It's cute right? Conditioner packaged to look like Vitamin Water, only it's actually meant for your hair? Yeah, it is cute. At $6.99 though, is it worth buying?

Sorry ladies, I'd have to say no.

The only reason I bought Vitamin Conditioner Mangosteen Yogurt was because of the cute packaging, and because of the fact that I could mail in my receipt and get a full refund on the conditioner.

I went with Vitamin Conditioner Mangosteen Yogurt because it had a nice creamy citrus scent that reminded me of a clean summer day; it also promised to smooth out my hair, which is a plus because during hotter summer days when humidity is at its peak, smooth hair is a must.

Unfortunately after using Vitamin Conditioner Mangosteen Yogurt my hair was actually very dry.

I wanted to like this stuff, but at $6.99 a bottle it's not worth it. It does not moisturize, smooth hair, or even leave a hint of the citrus scent behind.

This one is definitely a skip ladies.

A Beauty Queen Must! Lunch At The Ritz!!!

Hello my fellow divas, normally I don't recommend websites because I find it a little too time consuming. However when I come across a site that I think a beauty queen must see, I can't not recommend it! LunchAtTheRitz.com is a site with designer jewelery that I sense will become very popular, and very fast. Get em' while they're still up for grabs!

Why?

Just browsing through a few of their selections and I am already giddy with the buyers bug!

They feature unique pieces that frankly, I have never seen before. Sea themes earrings, braceletes and necklaces. There are also a slew of unique pins and other products that will simply dazzle you.

My all time favorite however has got to be their fish themes earrings. I will be ordering myself a pair before I take another trip to the Caribbean.

Seriously, just look at how spectacular some of these pieces are! They are museum quality! A pretty girls best friend!

The Best Skin Care Routine For Those With Oily and Dry Skin (Combination Skin)

I have skin that is ever changing, in my teen years I suffered primarily from extremely oily skin, mixed with everyday pimples and zits. It was quite disgusting...thankfully though skin care has come a long way these past 10 years, and no matter what type of skin my body feels like delivering, they have something to fix it.

My skin as of lately though has been plagued with something new. My oily skin is still present, yet I get extremely dry patches near the sides of my nose, and on my forehead.

I was at my wits end with the dry skin! The oily skin I could handle by using a mint facial mask, however using a mint facial mask in conjunction with dry patches on my face would only make it worse, and in more severe cases it would make the dry spots larger, and uglier.

Finally though, finally I was given a solution from a relative who works with skincare products. She bought me an entire skin care deal, and told me how to use the products, when to use them.

I imagined the products would be annoying, and that I would not have the time to put into the routine which I needed to follow daily. However after seeing the most superb glowing skin after just one day of following her advice, I had to share with you the absolute best routine your money can buy.

I have tried all sorts of products, and believe me, even though the products I am about to mention now are a bit pricey, they will work flawlessly for your combination dry/oily skin. I can tell you even though they are pricey, they will save you likely hundreds of dollars a year on wasted money on products that have promises, yet do not deliver.

Another thing most people seem to think is that buying one expensive facial care product will solve all their issues. I know I used to think that way! However little to my knowledge, I learned that your skin needs different products, at different times of the day. One product may do some wonders, but when used in conjunction with other products, the results are faster, and noticeable after just one treatment!

The first thing you are going to need to begin your journey to gorgeous flawless skin is:

Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher.

You will apply this first in the morning after fully cleansing your face. ANY cleanser will do. My personal favorites though are Olay Warming Cleansers which will have a warm feeling when rinsing your face. It opens the pores allowing the Estee Lauder Idealist to work really deep down into the skins tissue. You can though use any cleanser you like. Olay is just one of my personal favorites.

After cleansing you will apply a fair amount of the Estee Lauder Idealist Refinisher to your dry face. Rub it around and let it dry. It dries rather quickly.

After applying the Idealist solution you now want to apply a nice even layer of Estée Lauder DayWear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Lotion SPF15 for Oily Skin.

This stuff is simply divine. It has a nice cucumber melon scent to it, and absorbs quickly into the skin. What is so great about it though is that it does not leave your skin feeling dry. It combats oil, yet will not dry out areas that are already slightly parched.

This right here is all you will need to start your day.

You can apply makeup, cover-up, whatever it is you want to your face afterward.

You will notice that all day long your skin will remain shine free. Your dry areas will be fully moisturized, and you will simply be in love with your face! Yes, in love!

What is so wonderful about DayWear Plus Lotion is that it will also protect against future wrinkles, it is oil free, and it will hydrate the skin.

When you are ready for bed, before hoping in and falling asleep, go and cleanse your face again. Any cleanser will do.

Before heading off to dreamland, you will have to apply just two more products to your face for the ultimate daily skin care routine.

The first product being Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrate Recovery Boosting Treatment.

This is an odd little character. It is very expensive, and comes with an eye dropper applicator. You simply squeeze the eye drop rubber, which will fill it with the serum. You then apply the serum to your face, and massage it in. One eye drop fill is enough to cover your entire face. You don't have to use a lot because it spreads easily.

You are probably wondering what this $85.00 serum does though huh?

This one will visibly repair the appearance of past damaged skin, while at the same time it will be protecting your skin's future. It is considered natures moisture magnet. It locks in moisture which will creature naturally beautiful skin. Like a mini bottle of fountain of youth, this stuff is great!

It will also neutralize up to 90% of environmentally generated free radicals, before they are able to cause skin to look prematurely aged.

You are not quite done yet though darling. You will want to slap on one last thing before catching some zzz's.

CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion was made by dermatologists, and is the last final face topper for your skin care routine. Although it may not look fancy, and it does not have a fancy price attached to it either it is by far one of the best moisturizers you can use on your skin. It will restore and maintain your skins natural protective function.

CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion can be found in smaller squeeze bottles, or in larger tubs. I bought the largest tub for tons of use. It does leave skin feeling a little slick and sticky, however using it at night will protect the skin, and will not cause break outs! This is one thing I feared about using CeraVe. It has a sticky texture that gets left behind. As you sleep though it will absorb into skin. In the morning you will awaken with beautifully healthy looking skin, free of oil, free of dry spots, and free of break outs.

These are the exact products I use, and I have in 3 days since beginning the routine, seen such a gigantic difference that I had to tell others about it.

Follow the routine daily.
