I was given a tube for free Garnier B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free from BzzAgent to try out. My first reaction was pure joy; who does not love free stuff?
My second thought however was of course filled with speculation. How
good could Garnier B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free actually
work considering you can pick it up for just $11.99? I am used to
spending big dollars on name brands like Dolce & Gabbanna, MAC and
Estee Lauder when it comes to my foundations and skin needs.
When the cream finally arrived I was excited to give it a go and see
how well it worked. The tube promised to relieve me of shine, rid my
skin of dullness, even out skin tone, and hide blemishes. It is a
multiple benefit cream, and I could not wait to put its claims to the
test.
I was mostly excited about how well it would work when it came to
leaving my skin shine free. Most foundations promise just that, but not
even half of them can deliver.
So how did Garnier B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free hold up?
I was truly shocked at how perfectly this low priced cream worked. The
second I applied it to my face I knew that I may very well have found
the holy grail in cosmetics.
The cream is runny, but it glides over the skin flawlessly. It is not
drying, it does not streak, and it absorbs into the skin quickly while
leaving behind a flawless base for you to work with.
You can of course wear it alone, as it does a remarkable job at hiding
all imperfections, but I used it as a base to work with my other
foundations. The reason for this was due to the fact that the medium
deep color that I chose was not as deep as I was expecting. Therefore I
had to use my other foundations to blend it in to make it match my skin
tone.
Medium deep should have been labeled medium light.
At any rate, it provided the best under base for my skin I have ever
used. It did not highlight fine lines, or accentuate them. It did not
oxidize and turn powdery or dry. It simply sunk into my skin while
veiling it to look as if it were natural, and yet all the while hid
every imperfection with grace.
When it comes to oil and shine control, it is evident that it does do
the job. It is not the absolute best shine away cream in the universe,
but for the price I found that it worked better than my $60 bottle of
Dolce foundation.
Small amounts of shine was produced about 2-3 hours after applying it,
the shine however only showed on my forehead, which is my usual bad
spot. I get small amounts on my nose and cheeks, but after using Garnier
B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free, it only came through on my
head, and it was not as much oil/shine as what I am used to.
It works well, but not perfectly in the shine free department. However
in comparison to my usual brands, it worked much, much better, and I
did not have to touch up with powder as frequently.
Overall:
I love this one. I will pick up another tube as soon as it runs out, but will seek out a deeper color to match my skin better.
I love how lightweight it is, how natural it feels, and how a small
amount goes a long way. I never thought I would find a product this
cheap that is capable of working better than a high end brand.
I would recommend it to anyone, with or without oily skin.

Review of Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor
Everyone's hair seems to react differently to protein being added. The
majority however state that it does nothing but winders for them.
I was given a bottle of Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor from a relative at Christmas time. When she asked me what I wanted, I told her anything and everything that you can find that will help my chemically damaged hair!
Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor looked like the caviar my hair had been seeking. There was something about the bottle that screamed high class, and promising results.
However the results were not as stunning and glamorous as I initially believed they would be.
It is meant to be put in damp clean hair, you then saturate your hair with the treatment, put a plastic cap over your head and leave it on for 10 minutes. I did this exactly as recommended.
The Texture:
The texture of Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor is gel like, but with a much thicker and stickier texture that will actually stick to your hands. I was not at all fond of the texture because as it dried it felt like I had just applied glue stick gel to my hair, and I worried about the overall results being more drying on my hair than the hair already was!
After leaving it in for 10 minutes, you can than shower with shampoo and use conditioner. It's advise to use the sister shampoo and conditioner, but sorry Nexxus, Biolage is my go-to girl!
The Results On Severely Damaged Hair:
My hair was very damaged before using Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor, and I knew it would not fix every issue after just one use. I was however hoping to see some sort of results even if small.
Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor sort of did nothing for me. My hair was still dry at the ends, the strands still lacked elasticity, and I did not like how the overall texture of my hair felt. As if it had been stripped.
On Healthier Hair:
Since Christmas I have given Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor the benefit of the doubt as my hair began to improve using other products. Once my hair was back to a healthier state I decided to go ahead and try the gel again.
Unfortunately after using it again, my hair actually felt drier than what it usually was.
Overall:
I know a lot of women out there fully recommend this stuff, but for me, my hair just refuses to like it. It actually makes it drier and more brittle after each use, and therefore I will be passing the remainder of the bottle over to someone else. Maybe they will have better results with it.

Review of Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask
I was given a large plastic container of Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating
Mask, this past holiday, and I have been using it ever since. When the
tub of delight runs out I plan on re-stocking because Moroccan Oil
Intense Hydrating Mask has been nothing but a hair care lifesaver for
me.
I had deeply fried my hair a few months back by coloring it too many times in too short of a time span. The end result was very dry, very brittle, and very damaged hair. Especially at the ends, on on weaker strands near my face. I ended up asking everyone for hair repairing treatments for Christmas, and my wish became my reality.
Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask is meant to be used in the same manner that any deep mask would be used on the hair.
After shampooing, simply saturate the hair with the conditioner, and let it sit in for 5-7 minutes. I used it differently though, and find leaving it on for 10 minutes, under a plastic cap gives you much better results.
The Texture:
Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask is very thick. It has a yellow coloring to it, and you can feel the Moroccan oil in the actual treatment as you slide it through your hair. The oil is not at all sticky, nor will it leave behind a residue or leave hair feeling weighed down.
The Scent:
There is barely any fragrance associated with Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask. It has a clean freshness to it, but once it is rinsed the scent is no longer detected.
The Results:
You can literally feel the results after you begin washing the treatment out of your hair. My hair felt ultra clean, beyond moisturized, very sleek, and very smooth. It felt nourished, rich and healthy. I could almost tell immediately that my hair was going to dry with a much better overall look and texture.
I was right, and thank God. Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask literally managed to bring shine to my dull abused hair. The splits were of course still there but not as prominent, and the dry feeling was nearly gone.
After using it a week later, the hair only got better and better from that point on.
Months later, I can honestly say that I do not think my hair would be in the healthier condition it is in now if it had not been for Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask.
Recommendation:
I would highly recommend this one to anyone that is looking for a faster fix to highly damaged hair. Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask will help you quickly restore sever damages caused by chemical processing, over coloring, bleaching, and so on.
It feels like a reverse to the damage, a rewind in time. I personally give this one 5 stars out of 5.

Review: Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz
I fell in love with Matrix Biolage nearly a year ago, and over that span
of time I have found many different products for different uses when it
comes to hair. The reason I love anything and everything Biolage, is
that this line of products has a unique and addicting scent that I
cannot get enough of. To top it off though aside from the wonderful
fragrance, the Biolage products work wonders for my thick frizzy hair.
When I came across Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz for almost $20.00 a bottle, I was about to pass it up. $20.00 for hair spray is a bit unheard of. I was not at all skeptical though, I know Biolage, and I know that their higher prices are slapped on their products for good reasons. You pay for quality when it comes to their hair care line, and it is worth every penny in most cases.
Hair spritz though? I sighed, and dug into my wallet. I needed hair spray and with some extra cash on me, I took the plunge.
Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz comes in a plastic bottle, and the spray is non-aerosol.
My Use:
I styled my hair damp into a bun. I needed the spray in order to keep loose ends that usually fall down once my hair dries to stay in place. After styling my hair, I spritzed my entire head and hoped that this spray would not only keep my hair in place, but that it would also not leave my hair sticky or dry feeling.
I got just what I wanted. Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz has the power to hold hair in place, but while doing so it does not leave hair hard like a rock, there are no flakes involved, and your hair will not feel dry or unnatural with this one in it.
My thick hair usually requires a very ultra firm hold gel or Aquanet hairspray to keep it in order. I was shocked that this light weight spray worked better than the hold provided by the aerosol cans of hair spray.
When it comes to adding this spray to curly hair, I have not found anything that works better. Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz can be added to Biolage Gelee, and when sprayed it keeps curls soft and tame, while still maintaining the bounce curls naturally give off. No weigh down, and no crunchy feeling left behind.
Overall:
It is definitely pricey for hair spray, but it is worth every penny in my opinion. You get a lot of product in the bottle, and a little goes a very long way. The original Biolage scent that you may already know and love is also provided in this bottle. It of course is much lighter in scent, but you will easily recognize it if you are a fan of Biolage in general.

Review of Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Fuchsia Flash
I picked up Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Fuchsia Flash
by pure chance. The fact is, Maybelline's ColorSensation Vivids
Lipcolors all come in the same exact red transparent plastic tube, and
if you do not write the name of the color down that you are looking for,
you easily could end up picking up the wrong shade of color.
Considering the fact that Pink Pop and Fuchsia Flash are very similar in color, this was how I ended up with Fuchsia Flash. I thought I had picked up Pink Pop. Oh well, no big deal, Fuchsia Flash is stunning in her own way!
The Color:
When Maybelline decided to call their newest line of lip colors Vivids, they were not exaggerating! This collection is filled with some of the boldest, most vibrant and beautiful colors that you could ever imagine. The colors pop off of lips, and demand attention. Fuchsia Flash in particular is a stunning bright and bold colored pink.
In the tube it looks like an ordinary rose colored lipstick, but one sample swatch swipe across the skin and you see what they called them Vivid! It pops, in almost a prismatic and hypnotic sort of way.
On lips it gives off a high beam fuchsia pink color with a semi glossed finish that allows the color to pop even more and catch light.
On lips it feels smooth, natural and slightly dewy, but not at all sticky, drying or oily feeling. I lightly moisturizes, and dries into a more natural feeling. I personally do not even know it is there just a few moments after applying it.
The Last:
This is the second color I have tried in the collection, and unfortunately no matter what color you pick up you will find that the last is nothing spectacular. In about an hour I noted that the high beam bold color, and semi shine glimmer it first gave off was obsolete. It faded into a more pink matte color, which looked dull and not so flattering.
I learned quickly that I needed to apply this color every hour in order to maintain the bold beauty that the color delivers.
This annoys me, but I would rather have to re-apply than to go without this color.
Overall:
Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Fuchsia Flash is a stunning color that will compliment almost anybody. The last is nothing terrific, but like I said, it is worth buying because you will not find a color this extreme, eye catching and beautiful.
Granted I would have liked a longer lasting lip color, I am glad to have found this color, and this collection in general, as not a single color in this collection is dull or bland looking.

Review of New L'Oreal - Hyaluronic Power Moisture Hydrating Shampoo
After trying a few of L'Oreal's new conditioners on my over-processed
hair, and discovering how beautifully well they were helping, I decided
too go ahead and try out L'Oreal - Hyaluronic Power Moisture Hydrating Shampoo.
The reason being was that I was starting to notice that my other shampoo's were drying my hair out, and the need for more conditioner was necessary in order to balance things out. L'Oreal - Hyaluronic Power Moisture Hydrating Shampoo promised to add moisture, and that was what my parched hair needed the most after dying it blonde.
The Scent:
There is nothing really notably special when it comes to the fragrance that L'Oreal - Hyaluronic Power Moisture Hydrating Shampoo gives off. It is a standard clean and fresh scent, but definitely not one that you will go batty over.
My Use:
After drenching my hair, I added a healthy amount of the shampoo and began to work it into a lather. The texture of the shampoo us rich, with a very creamy base. This does not at all though deter it from creating a rich lather, because it does, and even a small amount of the shampoo was beyond capable of completely saturating my very long and thick hair with the shampoo.
During the lathering process, I realized that this shampoo was the good stuff, and that was because my hair was not feeling hay like, dry or lacking in elasticity. It was as if it were a shampoo/conditioner mix, and I had a good feeling that when I rinsed that my hair would feel the effects of being moisturized from root to tip.
Results:
As expected, the shampoo did the trick. After rinsing it out my hair actually felt quenched as if I just rinsed out conditioner, and not shampoo. I worried though if my hair would be too over moisturized after adding the sister conditioner.
Luckily that was not the case. My hair was perfectly moisturized, soft, manageable and looked healthier by at least 40%. I still have dry ends, but that comes with the package of over-processing. Over time I know it will heal, and L'Oreal - Hyaluronic Power Moisture Hydrating Shampoo will just be a boost to help heal the damages faster.
Overall:
Excellent shampoo. If you have dry hair, or extreme dry hair this shampoo will help quench the hay like texture quite a bit. A pure win in my opinion, and considering the lower price, it is so worth it. I have not gotten results this good even out of higher end shampoo.

Review of Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Pink Pop
I am a lipstick junkie, and pinks are usually my go-to choice in color. I
am not a lifelong customer to any one brand, I go for any brand and
every brand, as long as that brand is capable of creating a bold pink
that pops.
I admit to being a repeat purchaser of CoverGirl's new line of lipstick, but the unfortunate part about CoverGirl's new line is that the colors, as pretty as they are, do not last.
When I came across a new lipstick stand at my local super center, I went over to it to see what assortments of pinks they had available. To my surprise this new line was by Maybelline. A line of cosmetics I have not dabbled in since my teen years.
What I did not like initially was that the lipsticks all come in the same plastic tube, with a red transparent colored cap, so it is easy to accidentally buy the wrong color if you are after a repeat purchase. I accidentally purchased Fuchsia Flash instead of Pink Pop when I went in looking for a re-stock of Pink Pop.
I will review Fuchsia Flash at a later date.
My first purchase in the line of colors was Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, in Pink Pop.
What caused me to quickly toss this one into my shopping cart was of course the color. I ran the in store tester across my hand to see what the color would truly deliver, and I was pleasantly surprised at how bright, vivid and beautiful this pink was. Maybelline truly got the name right, Pink Pop, and that was exactly what it did!
Pink Pop was literally the holy grail in pink color!
On Lips:
The bold beauty that Pink Pop delivers is as equally as pretty on lips as it was swiped in my hand. The lipstick feels natural, glides on smoothly and leaves your lips feeling slightly moisturized yet without that sticky oily feeling other lipsticks leave behind.
The Last:
This is where Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Pink Pop and I had some issues. While Pink Pop is one of the most vivid and bold beautiful pinks I have ever used, the last is far from impressive.
I got about an hour of last till the shine and overall boldness of color faded away into more matte pink color.
With Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Pink Pop, you have to re-apply and very frequently in order to maintain your bright bold lips. I do not mind re-applying, but you do not get a whole lot of lipstick in the tube, and with daily use, and hour by hour reapplication this tube runs out in less than a month.
Would I still buy it though, even with that major downfall? Heck yes! The vivid color delivered is like no other, and therefore I am willing to sacrifice having to re-apply, than not having it at all.
