Alberto VO5 Sheer Leave-In Anti-Frizz & Shine Creme is Ineffective

I've used different leave-in treatments for years. I like switching it up and trying new things. Even when I find something that works like a charm, my mind is always open to new options, and when I came across Alberto VO5 Sheer Hairdressing Weightless Leave-In Anti-Frizz & Shine Creme, I was in "buy mode."
The treatment seemed like something I could use, especially on hot, humid days when my hair likes to have frizz fests.
Alberto VO5 Sheer Hairdressing Weightless Leave-In Anti-Frizz & Shine Creme promised immediate reduce in frizz, with immediate glossy shine, and that the formula would revive dry or unmanageable hair.
I figured for only $6.00, I could not pass it by. Besides I like VO5 hair care products! Heck, I even like their cheap shampoos, and conditioners. They sell hair care products that work, so I was only expecting the best. I had high hopes.
Directions:
Place some Alberto VO5 Sheer Hairdressing Weightless Leave-In Anti-Frizz & Shine Creme into your palms rub together, and put into hair while it is wet or dry.
Appearance:
Alberto VO5 Sheer Hairdressing Weightless Leave-In Anti-Frizz & Shine Creme comes in a white stand up tube. The click top is at the bottom so that way when you use it, you do not have to struggle with the bottle. The creme will be right there at the tip just waiting to be used.
The labeling on the tube is pretty attractive, and it was the gold metallic writing that caught my eye first.
My Use:
At home I squeezed out a small quarter amount of the white cream. I then rubbed my palms together and slid the cream into my hair from the middle to the ends. I never touch the roots because it could make you look like a greasy dog.
The smell of the cream hit my nose first. It was awful. It reminded me of unchanged jacuzzi water. It smelled unclean, and extremely chemically. I was hoping to the high heavens that this awful stink did not last.
Results on dry hair:
I was able to see a fast results when it came to reducing frizz, but it seemed that as soon as the formula began to dry that the frizz just bounced back up in all its glory.
The whole shine promise was barely noticeable. It did give me a bit of shine, but like the frizz control, it vanished as soon as the cream dried in my hair.
It seemed that the only good thing about Alberto VO5 Sheer Hairdressing Weightless Leave-In Anti-Frizz & Shine Creme was that the smell vanished as well.
Results on wet hair:
The tube claimed I could use this gunk on wet hair as well, so the next day that is exactly what I did. After my hair was dry, the results were...umm...wait, there were no goddamn results.
My hair was exactly the same as it always is after drying off after a shower. There was no difference, there was no frizz control, and there certainly was no newly added shine, or manageability.
Overall:
Alberto VO5 Sheer Hairdressing Weightless Leave-In Anti-Frizz & Shine Creme is a total bust. The packaging was pretty, but everything inside of the packaging was terrible. It has a nasty scent, it does nothing once it dries. Alberto VO5 Sheer Hairdressing Weightless Leave-In Anti-Frizz & Shine Creme is a pure waste.
They really need to throw this one off of the shelves and make room for something that works.
