About a week ago I stocked up on one of my favorite hair care products.
Garnier. For one, they have never really failed me when it came to
giving me excellent results, and secondly the shelves at my local
Walmart were strewn with brand spanking new hair products from Garnier. I
grabbed two that looked like they would be something that I would like.
Today up on the chopping block is Garnier Fructis Shine Burst
Fortifying Shampoo. I bought it simply because I wanted to see if it
would add a burst of shine to my hair like promised.
According to the bottle, Garnier Fructis Shine Burst Fortifying
Shampoo would smooth out my hair, add lightweight shine, clean, and
strengthen my hair. It was a lot of little promises packed into one 25.4
ounce bottle. I also paired up and bought Garnier Fructis Shine Burst
Fortifying Conditioner (which I will review later on).
First to the bottle:
There really is not much to say about the bottle. Garnier Fructis
Shine Burst Fortifying Shampoo came in a standard neon green plastic
stand up bottle, with an easy to use click up cap. However a very cool
shiny metallic silver label popped out and caught my eye. It read SHINE
BURST...which allowed this bottle to be more recognizable then the
others.
Scent:
To me nearly all Garnier products have this official Garnier scent.
Its clean, yet fruity at the same time, with a little spice of citrus.
My Use:
In the shower I first saturated my hair with hot water, and then added
about a handful of the shampoo to my locks. Scrubbing the shampoo into
my hair and scalp I liked how moisturized it made my hair feel (usually
shampoo can be very drying). I also liked how the lather worked up
quickly and easily.
The lovely clean fruity scent also filled the bathroom, and I hoped it would stick around after my shower.
After rinsing I was surprised to note that Garnier Fructis Shine Burst
Fortifying Shampoo did in fact leave my hair moisturized, and knot
free. For me after rinsing shampoo out, my hair is usually left feeling
dry, parched, and thirsty for moisture. It surely was not the case while
using Garnier Fructis Shine Burst Fortifying Shampoo.
It gets two big thumbs up in the moisturizing department.
Results:
My hair was left (obviously) moisturized, and very soft after drying. I
can't say much for shine though. My hair is usually always slightly
shiner after showering. After using Garnier Fructis Shine Burst
Fortifying Shampoo though, I can't really say that it added miraculous
mirror like shine, because it didn't.
Overall though I enjoyed using it. It left my hair soft, clean, fresh
smelling, and knot free. I adore it simply because of that. Added shine
would of been nice too, but for me Garnier Fructis Shine Burst
Fortifying Shampoo did a fine job in every other department. I do think
that it should be classified as a moisturizing shampoo instead though.
Other than that I have no complaints.
You can pick up a large bottle for about $4.00. In my opinion it is
$4.00 well spent. I highly recommend it to those looking for relief for
dry hair.
