Review of DC Women's Chalet Suede Action Sports Boots- Armor/White

I had the cutest pair of snow boots a year ago, only the seller stopped selling them online so I began a quest to find equally appealing snow boots for this upcoming winter season.

This was basically how I came across DC Women's Chalet Suede Action Sports Boots. They came in a bunch of different colors, but oddly enough anything outside of the white/armor color scheme asked for double the price, which I thought was ridiculous. However seeing that I liked the white and gray color combination, I decided to go ahead and get them for a low price of $49.50.

I placed my order in a size 8, and waited for them to hit my front porch.

The Quality:
 
Quality of the DC Women's Chalet Suede Action Sports Boots are definitely there. They are made of suede, and the DC logo on the outside of the boots are lined with semi sparkly rhinestone silver studs. It's just that added extra flair about the boots that initially made me buy them.

The suede you will want to protect by spraying suede protecting spray on them before wearing them out. I learned a hard lesson after scuffing the suede the second I wore them.

This of course has nothing to do with the quality of the boots, it was my own fault really.

Aside from that though, there is something off about the boots, and that is the sizing. I am normally a size 8.5 sneaker. I placed the order for a size 8, because I knew that boots tend to run a little larger. However the DC Women's Chalet Suede Action Sports Boots run almost a size and a half larger.

The inside boot with the faux fur trim is removable, so you can wear these boots without the fur lining. However if you take the liner out, the shoe is so large that it'll slip right off your foot. Now even with the lining inside of the boot they are still almost a half a size too large and it does not at all feel normal walking in.

The fix for this issue is that you could order a size smaller. If you are a size 8, order the size 7. However if you placed an order too late you could wear thicker socks for added traction, but even still it will not feel right.

They are comfortable boots, and they are warm. The sizing is way, way off, but aside from that they are beautiful boots and I would highly recommend them.
