Review of Etienne Aigner No2 Cologne for Men

When I first inhaled the scent of Etienne Aigner No2, there would be no way in hell I would of ever guessed that this fragrance was designed for men. No way, no how. That is because Etienne Aigner No2 smells just like a rotten bouquet of roses, and seems more like it should be a women's perfume.

Yep! Etienne Aigner No2 smells like old dried up flowers, and this stuff is made for men? This stuff is considered a cologne? I have never in my life met a guy that smelled like a bed of rotten roses, nor do I think I will ever meet a guy who would want to smell like a bed of rotten roses. Yet here is is; Etienne Aigner No2 for men, and that is just what it smells like.

The Botte:

It's a plain stand up bottle, shaped like a mini bottle of liquor. The glass itself has a cloudy glaze over it, but you can still clearly see how much perfume is in it. The bottle has a homely little drawing on it of a lucky horse shoe; or something of that nature.

Last:

Even if Etienne Aigner No2 was designed for women (which it should be, because it smells like frigging flowers), it still smells bad. The rotten flower stink is strong!

I sprayed some on both my clothes and my wrists. I was not surprised that this cologne lasted long. In fact, on my clothing I was able to detect the floral fragrance even the next day.

What was a plus though was that as Etienne Aigner No2 began to fade hours later, it took on a lighter more acceptable floral scent, which was actually relatively decent...however it was far, far, far from being considered masculine. Not by a long shot. Maybe they should try again with Etienne Aigner No3?

Recommended Wear:

This is not for men! I have no clue why they even market it for men. They should sweeten this scent up a bit, and sell it as a women's fragrance. Etienne Aigner No2 smells nice when it begins to fade, but it would only smell nice to women. It is far too feminine!

Therefore I can only recommend it to women as spring day wear.

Overall:

A decent scent when it begins to fade; for women though.

Pricing and Availability:

My mommasita picked Etienne Aigner No2 up at a thrift store. Odds are you won;'t find it there if you were looking for it. I have never seen Etienne Aigner No2 being sold in perfume store either.
Those interested in Etienne Aigner No2 though can easily find the cologne by doing a google search.
You can pick up a large 4.2 ounce bottle for about $45.00 or less online.
