Review of Keep it Fluffy (Purple) Bath Bomb, by Lush

About 2 months ago my boyfriend went away for 2 days for an out of state party. He knows how much I love Lush bath goods, and knows how much I complain whenever I have to order Lush products online, and pay for shipping. We unfortunately do not have a Lush store anywhere near us, so I have no other choice but to place my orders online.

I usually place one big order on their site every year around fall, because I love taking baths during colder weather, when baths are more comforting to me, and my mood.

I was glad though when he came back with a bag full of Lush products that I probably would have purchased online anyway. I got around to using a new bath bomb called Keep It Fluffy, which is the newest purple bath bomb in the Keep It Fluffy collection.

This bath bomb is a smaller one, coming it at 3.1 ounces. I am OK with Lush's smaller bath bombs because most of their tiny bombs work just as nicely as their larger ones. Keep It Fluffy (Purple), is a white and lilac colored swirl that makes up the bomb as a whole. It's pretty looking, but I have seen Lush do better, and I usually like their bombs that contain little extras like flowers, glitter, or fruit. Primarily that's what keeps me coming back for more.

Out of the bag Keep It Fluffy (Purple) smelled very, very similar to The Comforter Bubble Bar. It's a nice sugary candy scent, that has this pixie stix like fragrance going on. It's girly and powdery, but mostly a scent little girls would enjoy more than women.

My Use:

I popped Keep It Fluffy (Purple) into the tub while I was in it, and waited for it to works its magic.
Let me tell you, this bath bomb fizzled out and vanished faster than any other bath bomb I have ever used, and that includes lower end bombs from other companies. The quick disappearing act did disappoint me, and so did the color of my bath water, as well as the lack of scent.

First off, the bath water turned a murky grayish color that looked like I was sitting in dirty water.
Then we have the scent which was non-existent in the water as well, and I could not even smell it when I placed my nose an inch away from the water.

Lastly, there was no softening of the water, which many Lush bath bombs do.
What I got was gray dirty looking water, and that was it.

Overall:

Keep It Fluffy (Purple) smells great when not in use. If I am ever given this bomb again, I will just throw it in a sock draw, where it would work better at keeping my clothes smelling nice. Other than that though, this bath bomb is pretty much wasteful.
