Review of Philosophy Red Delicious Apple, High-Volume Bubble Bath

Oh Glorious red delicious apple, how I wish I would have found you sooner. You healthy scrumptious juicy treat, how I want to sink my teeth into you, and bathe in all of your flavorful scented glory.
Well now I can. Only, I can't eat you this time.

Red Delicious Apple has always been one of my favorite summer time scents. I love the aroma, and every summer/spring something new is released with an apple fragrance. Although Philosophy's Red Delicious Apple High Volume Bubble Bath is not 'that' new... it is new to me, as just the other night was the first time we had met.

I did try Philosophy's Red Delicious Apple 3 in 1, and I was not over joyed. It was nice, but not thrilling. When I caught a glimpse of the same art work on a different bottle by Philosophy I wondered if it would be any good.

When I read that the bubbles would be long lasting, I was excited to give it a try. I hoped it would produce mounds of long lasting silky to the touch bubbles like Lush Bubble Bars do.

The Bottle:

I like how Philosophy packs their bubble bath gels. Red Delicious Apple comes in a stand up plastic bottle that is shaped sort of like an old beer bottle, or small wine bottle. The plastic is see through, so you are able to see the color of the gel, and how much gel is left.

The label though is what truly allows it to stand out from any other bubble bath gel on the market. It has a pure white sticker that runs across the bottle, on the white sticker is a perfect red delicious apple.

The bottle in my opinion actually makes this stuff look like something you'd want to eat or drink.

Scent:

Gorgeous! I opened the top up, took a big sniff and got introduced to summer time a little early. The red delicious apple fragrance is very, very realistic, and will actually produce a mouth watering effect if you sniff it long enough.

So I loved the scent. I wondered how well it would stand up in the tub when used as a bubble bath.

My Use:

I ran some hot water, and poured in a decent amount. The moment it hit the water mountains of bubbles began to erupt. As I undressed and went about my business, I came back to a nice frothy bubble bath.

The bubbles were not excessive like I had hoped, but they were decent enough to be considered a nice bubble bath.

Best of all though, the water had that delicious apple fragrance that I absolutely craved.

In the water the bubbles stuck around for the majority of my bath; which was about 15 minutes. I liked how they made my skin feel as well, soft, silky, and smooth. Overall it was an extremely enjoyable bath.

Getting out of the shower was also nice enough to note, because the apple fragrance stuck with me for about an hour. Yep... I was all apples for about an hour. Apples seeping from my pours, apples seeping from my butt whenever I farted. It was a glorious apple hour.

Recommended:

Highly. I usually don't highly recommend Philosophy products, because they always are mediocre and overpriced.

Philosophy Red Delicious Apple High-Volume Bubble Bath comes to $15.00 for an 11 ounce bottle, which is not bad at all.

You can pick it up at local stores that carry Philosophy products, or at the Philosophy website.
