Review of Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Touche Éclat #3 Light Peach

I have never been one to purchase beauty products that only do small jobs, such as under eye foundation creams, or highlighting creams. I always figured foundation and finishing powder was all I ever needed. If I had dark circles under my eyes, I'd simply apply a little more of my foundation carefully to the area to conceal the darker shades.

Recently though I was given a golden stick of Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Touche Éclat, in the #3 Light Peach color.

Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Touche Éclat comes in a long gold tube with a very interesting push cap bottom. Basically you push this small black button on the bottom of the stick, and it releases the cream up into a smooth brush applicator. The brush itself is pretty small, which allows you to easily target those small problem areas.

For me though, I figured my foundation could do the same damn thing, so why would anyone want to spend $40.00 or more for this small stick of cream? The texture of Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Touche Éclat is also like that of foundation only a little more silky and smooth, which makes it easy to spread.

Regardless of how wasteful I thought the whole concept was, I went ahead and gave it a try. I wanted to see if it somehow could work some magical results that looked better than foundation.

I pushed up on the cap, and watched as some of the cream came rising to the brush. I then lightly wiped the cream under my eyes. The color matched pretty well on my skin. The light peach color didn't give off any unnatural pinkish hues so it was a good match for my skin tone, which is normally a very light tannish color.

The cream spread easily, but I realized that the push released way too much cream, and I had a lot stuck to the brush that I had to clean off before putting the cap back on. It sucks too because you have absolutely no control over how much is pushed through to the brush, and you will end up wasting a lot of the cream if you don't use all of it.

At any rate, after applying and spreading the cream around it dried pretty fast and didn't leave my skin feeling greasy, but I noticed something about my under eyes that this formula brought out that I absolutely hated!

The cream, or radiant touch, (whatever the hell it was) made nearly every crease, and crevasse under my eyes look more wrinkly due to the cream seeping into every crease.

Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Touche Éclat crap, actually made my under eyes look older by highlighting every wrinkle. It wasn't obvious obvious, but when looking closely in the mirror I could tell that this stuff made my eyes look worse.

The dark circles were well hidden, but at what cost? I know...

looking like your skin is older than what it really is. I'd rather keep the dark circles!

Overall:

Totally 100% not worth $40.00. I wouldn't even recommend it to you if it were $1.00!!! Normally I love Yves Saint Lauren products, but Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Touche Éclat actually made me look older!

I imagine this stuff could work wonders for those with baby tight skin, but if you have any creases this stuff will highlight it and make it more obvious. I recommend that you stick to using your regular foundation under your eyes if you are looking to conceal dark circles.
