Daisy by Marc Jacob, Perfume for Women: Review

I must say that when I first heard about Marc Jacob's newest fragrance, Daisy, I was excited to give it a try. Not because I know Marc Jacob, or like Marc Jacob...but because the bottle was so darn girly pretty.

The Bottle:

It has a little miss-shaped bulb bottom, with daisy flowers located at the top. It's a very pretty site indeed, and definitely worth saving even after the perfume is gone.

The Scent:

I was expecting to smell none other than daises when it came to Marc Jacob Daisy. Sure enough daisies was exactly what came flowing out of this gorgeous bottle.

Tons of fresh cut daisies. I liked it, but at the same time it reminded me way to much of incense oils that I would burn. It had that whole generic incense oil scent going on, and from my own personal experiences with flower scented incense oils, I know I'm not much of a fan. The over bearing flower fragrance is too much. So much so, that for me, it can cause nausea.

Marc Jacobs Daisy didn't cause me nausea right then and there, but I knew that if this scent lasted for a long time, odds were it'd cause my tum to turn.

So initially, yes; Daisy is a nice floral scent. I knew though if it stuck around for longer than 2 or 3 hours I'd grow sick of it, physically sick of it actually.

Last:

Well fear not, nausea never set in, and that's because Marc Jacob Daisy does not last long at all. The perfume I squirted on my wrist was long gone. Not even a trace.

The spritz I added to my shirt was also long gone. The light floral scent was still mildly detectable, but not unless I put the shirt straight up under my nose.

All in all, Daisy lasts a few pathetic minutes. About 30 of them in all.

I was glad, I didn't want it to stick around for too long, but hell, for those who like the scent, I imagine they would want it to stick around for a heck of a lot longer than that! Especially seeing how a bottle of Daisy comes to a high end designer price.

Overall:

Daisy is just not worth it. The scent does not last, and the scent is too familiar. So familiar that you could find it at a local head-shop located in a small glass bottle labeled Daisy Oil priced at $2.99.

Pricing:

Marc Jacobs Daisy though is not $2.99. Far from it. You can pick up a water down bottle of Daisy Oil for $55.00 or less depending on the size you pick up. You can pick this scent up at local perfume stores or online if you are still interested.
