I used to love Gwen Stefani when she was the lead in No Doubt. Since
that little group split, I haven't payed her much mind. That was until
recently though.
I seen an advertisement with her endorsing some new fragrance. A name I
still don't know how to pronounce, a name that may stand for something,
yet at the same time it could stand for nothing. Either way, its
gibberish. It's called L, a L.A.M.B. (Pretty damn retarded right?) Could you imagine walking into a perfume store and asking for that?! Me either.
When I realized that L, a L.A.M.B was not in stores for me to sample. I
figured I'd go to their main site and see if they were giving out some
form of free samples through the mail. (A LOT of newly released fragrances will mail you free samples nowadays).
It took about 3 weeks to get to my house, but L, a L.A.M.B. finally made it to my mailbox.
Scent:
When I think of Gwen Stefani, I think of beer, gasoline, and car oil.
She remained the rough rugged chick I remembered her as when I was a fan
of hers in the 90's. She was a chick, but for me, she always had this
masculine vibe going on. I imagined this perfume she was endorsing would
have a masculine touch.
Not so though.
I rubbed some of the sample onto my clothing, and onto my wrists. L, a
L.A.M.B. smelled like a rainbow of girly goodness. The first initial
scent I picked up was honeysuckle, and it reminded me a lot of Daisy
Fuentes So Luxurious perfume. Honeysuckle and flowers.
L, a L.A.M.B. smelled familiar, but as I began to pick up more
fragrances from it, I became more and more impressed. I was able to pick
up notes of hyacinth, jasmine, and musk. Combined the fragrance is very
floral, and noticeable...yet at the same time it is also very delicate
and light.
Last:
The small sample I received went a long way. I am happy to say that L,
a L.A.M.B. lasts for the majority of the day. On my wrists the lovely
light floral scent stuck around for about 3 hours. On my clothing
though, I was able to smell the scent all day long. The scent though
didn't stick around on my clothing till the next day though. It does
however last long enough to consider it a nice long lasting high quality
perfume.
Recommended Wear:
I truly think that L, a L.A.M.B. is an awesome fragrance for spring
wear. It smells like blossoming flowers, and has that light and fresh
touch that reminds me of spring gardens that have recently poked open to
take a peek at the world.
Overall:
Love, love, love it. L, a L.A.M.B. has a gorgeous floral scent that
lasts throughout the day. It may seem a little familiar to other floral
fragrances on the market right now, but as soon as the other scents in
the perfume start to bloom, you will notice that it is distinct scent
all its own. Like warm flower syrup.
Pricing and Availability:
You can find L, a L.A.M.B. at local perfume outlets, or online. The price will vary anywhere from $50.00 to $70.00.
