All of our major holidays are drawing closer and closer by the day. If
there is one time during the year that you want to look your best, it's
definitely the holidays. The one time a year where the entire family
gathers together to celebrate. Besides your outfit, you want to make
sure your hair looks great too.
I'm a casual person, but when holidays ring in, I always make sure that I style 'my usual pulled back in a bun hairstyle', into a much more sophisticated look.
The first is to use a neat new invention called Bump Its.
I bought these things a few months ago and was surprised at how simple
it was to quickly, and easily add some sophisticated flair to my
everyday look. Bump Its come in sets of 3. A small bump for bangs, and 2
longer bumps for a longer higher bump.
With Bump Its you can pretty much leave your hair flowing with a bump
at the top, or you can tie it back for a very polished look. Click here to see Bump Its, and to see exactly what you can do with them.
If you wear your hair straight all year long, then change it up during
the holidays and go curly. You can curl your hair with a curling iron
that could take hours, or you can curl it the simple old fashioned way
by using hair gel in slightly dampened hair, and scrunching your hair.
The results will be the same spiral curls you could get with an iron,
for a fraction of the time.
If you wear curly hair all year long, than get yourself a straight
iron, and iron out the curls for a dramatic and sophisticated holiday
hairstyle.
Depending on the holiday you can also accessories. Adding in a small
fake holly leaf to your hair for Christmas is not only cute, but its
elegant. Younger women as well as older women can add holiday themed
hair clips or barrettes, without fear of looking tacky. Clips are in,
clips are back, and hopefully clips are here to stay.

Basically the holiday rule of thumb when it comes to hair is to
transform it into something you usually would not do. You do not have to
go to the salon and spend a hundred dollars on an up-do when you can
play with your hair yourself, and mold it into something that you
normally do not have time for, or that you normally do not wear.
