About 2 weeks ago Walmart.com had featured a few freebie trial sized
products for customers to try. I quickly signed with my address, and a
week later was sent 2 packages of Head & Shoulders Silky Smooth
Shampoo. I also got the conditioner; but I'll save that for my next
review.
I have never suffered from dandruff...but according to the package,
the silky smooth shampoo had the same active dandruff fighting
ingredients in it, as original Head & Shoulders. This is a plus for the flake heads.
The bottle:
New Head & Shoulders Silky Smooth Shampoo comes in the usual Head
& Shoulders bottle...only instead of the label being white and blue,
it is now done up in pink and blue. They knew doing this would attract
women to their product. I guess they finally figured out that the
original version of Head & Shoulders was more of a dude thing.
The Scent:
In the shower I tore open my little trial packet and was surprised at
how thick and creamy the pearl colored shampoo was. It worked up a
really thick and silky lather.
The scent was a pleasant one. A very clean soapy smell. It had no
floral notes...it sort of just smelled clean. I guess that's okay, seeing
how nearly everything else I own smells like flowers or food. It was
different rinsing with some old school soap scented stuff.
I figured though; like with all shampoos, my hair would feel extremely
dry after rinsing. Usually the follow up conditioner heals the drying
feeling.
Shocker....SPOILER AHEAD...
Head & Shoulders Silky Smooth Shampoo rinsed out and did not leave
my hair feeling dry at all. I could of honestly sworn I had just rinsed
conditioner out of my hair, because I have never rinsed shampoo out and
had hair that felt moisturized.
Overall:
I followed up with the sister conditioner and my hair was left looking
fantastic. Mind you I had dyed my hair quite a few times this month as
well, and Head & Shoulders Silky Smooth Shampoo did quite a job at
giving my dry hair moisturized life again. The lovely clean and fresh
scent also stood behind trapped within the layers of my locks. I like
when scent sticks around, so Head & Shoulders Silky Smooth Shampoo
gets two thumbs up.
I highly recommend you try Head & Shoulders Silky Smooth Shampoo. You can find it in any local superstore for about $4.00.
