Jessica Simpson "Dessert Treats" Hair and Body Shimmer Mist - Review

The first ever Jessica Simpson Dessert Treats I ever came across was the hair and body shimmer mist. The advertisements for the new Jessica Simpson line was pretty, appealing, and I must say I was intrigued.
After trying the Hair and Body Shimmer mist though, I was convinced the rest of the products would suck...and who would of guessed it, I was right.
The idea:
The Hair and Body Shimmer Mist is lickable. You spray it on, and lick your skin. What is left is supposed to be a yummy flavored treat. This the name Dessert Treats.
I wondered why though, the bottle claimed it would be okay in my hair? I had no intentions of putting it in my hair, as I had no intentions of chewing my locks, or having someone lick them.
I bought the spritzer bottle of Jessica Simpson "Dessert Treats" Hair and Body Shimmer Mist for nearly $15.00 when it first released. I was not able to test it though before buying it, seeing how Claire's accessories store had them behind glass cases as if they were some sort of platinum product.
I went with the bubble gum flavor, even though there were other flavors available such as lollipop, creamsicle, butterscotch, cotton candy, and more.
My Use:
The moment I got out of the store with my purchase I popped the clear lid and sprayed some on. I let it dry first, and then gave my wrist a taste. Uch! Horrible! It tasted like harsh chemicals. Like I had just placed my tongue on the two ends of a square battery. It was nasty. I had no intentions of licking the rest off. I sprayed some more on though because I liked the scent. It was flirty, and smelled realistic to actual bubble gum.
About 10 minutes later though I noticed something horrible, my skin was sticky. I had to take a shower just to get the sticky feeling off of me.
I never used the Jessica Simpson "Dessert Treats" Hair and Body Shimmer Mist again, and there was no way in hell I would ever spray this sticky gunk into my hair. I would end up with knots, and yellow jackets attacking me.
It was as if I sprayed a layer of liquid toxic sugar onto my skin. It may smell good, but it tastes like hell, and leave you feeling like a dirty little kid who just finished sucking on a sticky lollipop...only the lollipop melted all over your skin.
Pricing and availability:
This garbage is still being sold at huge discounts at Claire's and Eckerd's drug stores. You can pick up a bottle of it for about $3.00 now. Not that you would want to though.
Overall:
Jessica Simpson "Dessert Treats" Hair and Body Shimmer Mist is a sticky nasty mess.
I do not recommend it to anyone.
Terrible! 1 star out of 5.
