Every Vera Wang fragrance I have tried in my past, I have always liked.
Not only does the designer release gorgeous fragrances, but these
gorgeous fragrances come in these spectacular save worthy bottles.
When I got a glimpse of Vera Wang Princess, I was in awe. I was more
intrigued with the bottle, then I was with getting a sample sniff of the
scent.
Vera Wang Princess comes in the most gorgeous heart shaped glass
bottle. On top of the pretty cut heart shaped bottle is a cute little
golden colored crown. The crown is lined with shimmering purple
rhinestones. Vera Wang Princess truly resembles a bottle that would
satisfy any princess, and we all know, every woman is a princess, even if we lack royalty.
The perfume itself is a light colored purple, which actually makes the clear glass bottle look purple.
The Scent:
At first I imagined flowers; tons of gorgeous flowers. I figured
Princess would be a floral scent. The description of Princess states
that it is indeed floral. When I sprayed some onto my clothing, wrist,
and neck though, Vera Wang Princess told a different story...and truly
there was nothing royal about it.
For me Vera Wang Princess smelled like a near replica of Curve
perfume. It's a decent scent, but also a very fake one. Vera Wang
Princess smells like that, decent, but a bit too powdery and beachy to
be considered a floral.
Overall Princess smelled more like baby powder, mixed with vanilla,
and a touch of cinnamon. When combined though, the overall scent is just
another one of those odd beachy scents. It is not awful, don't get me
wrong, it's wearable, but this scent has definitely been done before. I
could name a few scents off of the top of my head that this one reminds
me of besides just Curve.
Last:
Vera Wang Princess has decent last. I applied some in the morning
before work, and was able to detect the powdery scent on me till
mid-afternoon. In all though I got about 3 hours of scent on my skin,
and 5 hours on my clothing. Last is not spectacular, just decent.
Overall:
Vera Wang Princess just does not do it for me completely. The scent is
too familiar, and I'm not too into it. I adore the gorgeous bottle and
think that Vera Wang is a marketing genius when it comes to attracting
women to their fragrances. For me though, Princess is just not my cup of
royal tea.
Recommended:
Even though Vera Wang Princess is not my all time favorite scent, it
is still a decent beachy scent that would make for a good fragrance for
summer days. I am sure someone would find it appealing, and due to it's
decent last, I still recommend you at least give it a try.
Where To Buy:
You can find this fragrance at any local perfume distributor. The prices will vary anywhere from $35.00 to $55.00.
