Review: Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz

I fell in love with Matrix Biolage nearly a year ago, and over that span of time I have found many different products for different uses when it comes to hair. The reason I love anything and everything Biolage, is that this line of products has a unique and addicting scent that I cannot get enough of. To top it off though aside from the wonderful fragrance, the Biolage products work wonders for my thick frizzy hair.

When I came across Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz for almost $20.00 a bottle, I was about to pass it up. $20.00 for hair spray is a bit unheard of. I was not at all skeptical though, I know Biolage, and I know that their higher prices are slapped on their products for good reasons. You pay for quality when it comes to their hair care line, and it is worth every penny in most cases.

Hair spritz though? I sighed, and dug into my wallet. I needed hair spray and with some extra cash on me, I took the plunge.

Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz comes in a plastic bottle, and the spray is non-aerosol.

My Use:

I styled my hair damp into a bun. I needed the spray in order to keep loose ends that usually fall down once my hair dries to stay in place. After styling my hair, I spritzed my entire head and hoped that this spray would not only keep my hair in place, but that it would also not leave my hair sticky or dry feeling.

I got just what I wanted. Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz has the power to hold hair in place, but while doing so it does not leave hair hard like a rock, there are no flakes involved, and your hair will not feel dry or unnatural with this one in it.

My thick hair usually requires a very ultra firm hold gel or Aquanet hairspray to keep it in order. I was shocked that this light weight spray worked better than the hold provided by the aerosol cans of hair spray.

When it comes to adding this spray to curly hair, I have not found anything that works better. Matrix Biolage Finishing Spritz can be added to Biolage Gelee, and when sprayed it keeps curls soft and tame, while still maintaining the bounce curls naturally give off. No weigh down, and no crunchy feeling left behind.

Overall:

It is definitely pricey for hair spray, but it is worth every penny in my opinion. You get a lot of product in the bottle, and a little goes a very long way. The original Biolage scent that you may already know and love is also provided in this bottle. It of course is much lighter in scent, but you will easily recognize it if you are a fan of Biolage in general.
