Review of Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Fuchsia Flash

I picked up Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Fuchsia Flash by pure chance. The fact is, Maybelline's ColorSensation Vivids Lipcolors all come in the same exact red transparent plastic tube, and if you do not write the name of the color down that you are looking for, you easily could end up picking up the wrong shade of color.

Considering the fact that Pink Pop and Fuchsia Flash are very similar in color, this was how I ended up with Fuchsia Flash. I thought I had picked up Pink Pop. Oh well, no big deal, Fuchsia Flash is stunning in her own way!

The Color:
 
When Maybelline decided to call their newest line of lip colors Vivids, they were not exaggerating! This collection is filled with some of the boldest, most vibrant and beautiful colors that you could ever imagine. The colors pop off of lips, and demand attention. Fuchsia Flash in particular is a stunning bright and bold colored pink.

In the tube it looks like an ordinary rose colored lipstick, but one sample swatch swipe across the skin and you see what they called them Vivid! It pops, in almost a prismatic and hypnotic sort of way.
On lips it gives off a high beam fuchsia pink color with a semi glossed finish that allows the color to pop even more and catch light.

On lips it feels smooth, natural and slightly dewy, but not at all sticky, drying or oily feeling. I lightly moisturizes, and dries into a more natural feeling. I personally do not even know it is there just a few moments after applying it.

The Last:
 
This is the second color I have tried in the collection, and unfortunately no matter what color you pick up you will find that the last is nothing spectacular. In about an hour I noted that the high beam bold color, and semi shine glimmer it first gave off was obsolete. It faded into a more pink matte color, which looked dull and not so flattering.

I learned quickly that I needed to apply this color every hour in order to maintain the bold beauty that the color delivers.

This annoys me, but I would rather have to re-apply than to go without this color.

Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipcolor, Fuchsia Flash is a stunning color that will compliment almost anybody. The last is nothing terrific, but like I said, it is worth buying because you will not find a color this extreme, eye catching and beautiful.

Granted I would have liked a longer lasting lip color, I am glad to have found this color, and this collection in general, as not a single color in this collection is dull or bland looking.
