Review of Honey Peach Glycerin Soap from Sabon NYC

I'm a soap junkie, every month I seek out new sites and new stores with products that I can't find in a regular old drug store. When seeking soaps I try and find the most unique scented ones out there.
One soap that I have been fond of time and time again is Honey Peach Glycerin soap from Sabon NYC. On their website they offer a variety of unique scented glycerin based soaps. I have tried only a few though, and out of the small bunch Honey Peach seems to be the all time killer soap.
The soap itself comes in a 3.5 ounce cut, in the photo they display the soap has a peach colored base with chunks of orange, green and brown glycerin wedges. However when you receive their hand made soaps your soap may look entirely different....however that does not mean the scent is any different than any other bar with more chunks or less.
Scent:
Well, the soaps name says it all. The major note is that of fresh cut peaches, with a warm honey undertone. It's a relaxing, yet awakening scent. It is a scent that will wake you up and make you feel alive in the morning, or a scent when used at night before bed that brings relaxation. This is probably why I love it amongst all others I have tried.
Use:
Well you use it like you would any other soap. I don't think I need to explain...however one tip I can give is to cut the soap into sample sized pieces. Although the soap is somewhat hard, it is soft enough as to where you can cut small pieces, and save the rest in a dry place. I always do this with softer glycine based soaps because if you were to leave the whole bar in the shower soap holder it would melt into a messy gooey pile of slime.
Lather:
The lather you get from Honey Peach soap is nothing to brag about. It is a bit difficult to work up some suds, but with a bit of arm power you eventually will get a light lather working. Either way though, the soap makes you feel clean, even if the lather isn't spectacular.
The scent in the shower is glorious. It fills the entire room with it's lovely honey peach scent, and leaves it's mark in the bathroom even after you are done. Yep it's like a bathroom home fragrance diffuser as well. Yummy!
Results:
Honey Peach does not leave any residue or oily feeling behind on the skin. It washes off with ease and leave you feeling fresh, clean and lightly scented. On my body I can detect notes of honey more than peach, and it is a scent I adore. The scent will stick around on my skin for about an hour until I can no longer smell it. Not too bad, most soaps don't leave a hint of scent behind at all, so this is why honey peach has become a favorite of mine.
My skin was left soft and moisturized afterward, however the feeling sort of vanished when I was fully dry.
Overall Honey Peach soap is more for a lovely scent than it is for a skin treatment. Usually when buying soaps though I only look for long lasting scents, and this soap has delivered just that.
Pricing and availability:
You can find Honey Peach soap at www.sabonnyc.com for $6.24 for a 3.5 ounce cut. You can also find it in their local stores if you happen to have one nearby. For store locations visit the link I have provided.
Recommendation:
For those looking for a long lasting relaxing, yet uplifting scent. It does not do much for your skin, but you will adore the scent that lasts.
