Review of Lush: Lemon Days and Ginger Beer Bath Bomb

This past month I took full advantage of the fact that Christmas was coming. I knew that I wanted bath products from Lush, and lots of them. I gave my Lush list to a few of my friends and family, and in all the hype I ended up ordering a few things for my greedy self. I just couldn't help it.

Lemon Days and Ginger Beer Bath Bomb was just one of those items I ordered for myself. The overall appearance on Lush.com was not so thrilling, but the description was.

According to Lush, Lemon Days and Ginger Beer is a scent that is considered uplifting, with mandarin, bergamot, and exotic sandalwood to tone skin and leave it silky and soft.

I absolutely love Lush bath bombs that leave the bath water silky, and by the description it seemed Lemon Days and Ginger Beer would do just that.

Upon arrival, my bath bomb was pretty similar to the one you can see on Lush by clicking here. My bath bomb however arrived looking a little dented up, (it must have had a rough ride during the delivery process) and it had a much deeper yellow color to it, than the pale yellow bomb you see on the website.

I figured this was a good thing, that my bath bomb would smell more lemony.

Once I ran myself a tub, I got in and plopped Lemon Days and Ginger Beer in with me. Immediately it began to fizz up, releasing a lovely bright yellow colored foam at the top of my bath water.

It fizzed for about 7 minutes till it was finally gone. The entire time as it melted it was releasing more and more gorgeous yellow color to the bath water, and it definitely left my bath water feeling like a silk paradise.

The scent at first was very floral with very distinct notes of rose, which was odd, because I didn't see any rose being mentioned in the ingredients list. After a few minutes of soaking though, the lemon scent came through. It was faint, but noticeable.

All in all I did not think I was going to love Lemon Days and Ginger Beer as much as I actually did. In fact this bath bomb was my favorite bomb from Lush in a long time.

The lemony scent stood with me for hours after my bath, and if you really want long lasting scent wash your hair in it, but be sure to condition and rinse by showering afterward. If you do this your hair will stay silky, look beautiful, and have the gorgeous Lemon Days and Ginger Beer Scent within it for nearly 2 days.

Your skin will also benefit from this one. It left mine feeling extremely soft, clean, moisturized, and lightly scented. I absolutely loved how it made my skin feel in the bath, and after the bath. It is a must try for those with dry skin.

For me, Lemon Days and Ginger Beer is a bomb I know I will re-order time and time again, and I highly recommend it to others.

Where To Find:

You can of course pick it up online at www.lush.com, or you could go to a local Lush store if you are lucky enough to have one nearby. Lemon Days and Ginger Beer is priced at $6.95 for a 3.5 ounce bomb, and in my opinion it is highly worth trying it.

Tip- use a psychodelic bubble bar with this one for an even better scented bath!
