Review of Lush: Rainbow Worrier Bath Bomb

Since childhood I have always loved a good surprise. You know, like on Christmas morning when 'Santa' accidentally forgets to label a gift, the unknowns of it makes the gift all the more magical; even if the gift is not for you. Or when you stumble upon a package on the front door, knowing you ordered nothing.

The mystery of Rainbow Worrier Bath Bomb from Lush was the primary reason I bought it. According to Lush.com, Rainbow Worrier is described in mystery, as you don't really know what you are getting till you pop it into the bath. The water will turn either yellow, blue, or pink.

Besides that Rainbow Worrier also states that it contains vetivert and sandalwood, to wipe away your worries. But ah, whatever, I was mainly after the mystery of the bath waters color. I was hoping for a deep colored pink soak, but what I got was very disappointing.

I plopped Rainbow Worrier Bath Bomb into my tub, and waited...then waited some more as she fizzled about in my tub... and as the bath bomb fizzled down to half it's size, and my water was nothing more than a grayish murky milk white, I figured the mystery dyes would be located in the center of the bomb... that at any second my luscious color change would take effect.

Only...

as you can guess, nothing ever happened. Now don't get me wrong, Rainbow Worrier smelled nice, but it was a little weak and smelled so much like that purple lavender soap they sell at Lush, that the resemblance was pretty impossible to miss.

The bath water also turned a bit more creamy and soft, but really I was after the color change. was after the mystery of not knowing what to expect. When I received the Rainbow Worrier, the bomb itself was white, as shown on their website, but as described it was supposed to change into a yellow, pink or blue. This never happened, so I was annoyed.

All in all, Rainbow Worrier in my opinion is an OK bath bomb. It is one I definitely will not purchase again though, because mine did absolutely nothing as described.

Pretty sad too, seeing that after looking at the reviews of this bath bomb n the site, many people got gorgeous colored water when using Rainbow Worrier, and then a small handful of folks complained about not having any color changes. Surely I assumed I'd not be one of those unlucky souls, yet here I am, added to the list of those whose Rainbow Worrier did nothing but change the water a murky white. It was like bathing in watered down skim milk, with a lavender scent. A scent mind you that does not even stick around after the fact.

I personally recommend you skip on this one, if you were considering it.
