Bath Product Review: Lush Pud Bath Bomb

Lush has been one of my favorite places to order bath and body products. When I was given free reign of my Lush order thanks to the upcoming Christmas holiday, I didn't hesitate when it came to ordering Lush Pud Bath Bomb.

I figured this particular bath bomb would be perfect during cold winter months, and the description of it being a spicy almond pudding for baths was more than enough to sell me.

Lush Pud Bath Bomb is a 6.3 ounce bomb, where on the website has a brown colored bottom, with a white colored top. Right smack at the top of the bomb there seems to be an adorable little holly leaf for decoration. You can tell though the green holly leaf is dyed into the white top. If you look closely though, Lush claims that the holly leaf is actually molded candy.

The bath bomb looks pretty tempting on the Lush.com website. In person however it was a bit of a different story.

In person my Lush Pud seemed to be abused. It was cracked in into pieces, and seemed to suffer a long and abrasive journey to my home. The bomb probably would have resembled the bomb on the site, had the UPS guy not played soccer with the package it arrived in.

I could see the holly leaf was also abused to the point that it was almost a fine powder of green. The red berry on top of the holly leaf is anyone's guess? I never saw one.

The Sent:
 
I ripped a small hole into the baggie that the bomb came in and took a sniff. Lush Pud is very spicy, but it's not a cinnamon spice, nor an almond one. To me Lush Pud smelled more like spiced vanilla. A nice scent indeed.

In The Bath:
 
Lush Pud Bath Bomb fizzed away pretty quickly, but that is basically due to the fact that mine came in pieces, and not a whole round bomb. As it fizzed away it turned my bathwater softer, but as it began to melt away it also turned the water a hideous muddy brown color, which I wasn't too thrilled with.

The spicy vanilla scent filled the air, but it was very, very subtle, and not long lasting at all.

Lush Pud did however manage to leave my skin very soft, and moisturized after getting out and drying up. The scent sadly though didn't stick with me, as I knew it wouldn't.

Although Lush Pud is not my favorite bath bomb, it's far from their worst.

It's decent, but the scent definitely needs some more voltage.

Lush Pud Bath Bomb comes to $5.50 on the Lush website. As of now though the bomb is marked at sold out. You can however easily find this one selling on ebay for relatively the same price, if not less.

Lush Pud is great for those who are looking for that soft skin remedy, but if you are after an intoxicating long lasting scent, Lush Pud is a miss. Click for photo.
