Review of New Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume

For years I have been a fan of the original Elizabeth Arden Green Tea fragrance. Yet, for years I managed to let slip past me, the fact that Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea scent did not just stop at the original. In fact, there is a whole slew of scents involving green tea when it comes to Elizabeth Arden, and this past Christmas I got to discover what I was missing.

I was given a bottle of Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume, and was in near shock when I discovered that there was even more than just Camellia in the line.

The bottle that Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume comes in looks very much like the original bottle of Green Tea perfume, only Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume has blue hue to it, nearing the tropical sea color category. However, that aside, they are almost near identical.

The Scent:

I was pretty lucky to be able to compare Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume to the original Green Tea, because I was given a bottle of each for Christmas. However after testing them neck and neck, back to back, I was pretty confused as to what was so 'new' about Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume.

Now, Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume is not a bad scent; not at all. It has a very sweet and juicy fragrance that hits you immediately, and then it dives into more softer petal notes which smell just like green tea leaves if you were to crush them in your fingers.

The scent is like aromatherapy, and just puts you into an instant refreshed mood. That of course is what we look for when it comes to perfume; a mood enhancer. However there is nothing really obvious that separates this scent from the original green tea fragrance by Elizabeth Arden.

Even as the scent faded on one wrist, it smelled exactly like the other scent on the opposite wrist. The only difference I found between the two is that Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume does not last quite as long as the original Green Tea.

The last is around 15 minutes till it is no longer detectable. However even with poor lasting power, I like to spritz the scent on for a quick pick me up.

Overall:

Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Camellia Perfume offers a very nice scent, but it is not at all original or even remotely different from what we've already had.
