Review of Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Lavender Honey Drops Body Cream

About a year ago I was given a gigantic jug of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Honey Drops Body Cream. I have never been a fan of body creams or lotions before due to how poorly most lotions and creams absorbed with my skin (they never would absorb).

Being a huge fan of the Green Tea scent though, I figured I would for the heck of it, give the cream a try. The result of trying it, ended up in me having to purchase a new jug just 2 months later. That was how much I liked the stuff.

Since then though, 2 jugs later, I managed to forget all about my obsession and move on from the nightly routine of adding the cream to my body before bed.

This past Christmas however, I was given a trio of mini sized jugs containing the same cream I loved in the past. Only there was one major difference. These creams came in new scents I did not even know existed when it came to this line of fragrances.

The body cream up under the microscope belongs to Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Lavender Honey Drops.

Before getting into how wonderful this cream is though, I wanted to point out that the honey drops in the cream are actual drops of honey which burst on your skin as you rub it in. There will be no icky sticky residue left behind though.

The Scent:

Now I was disappointed with a few of the different spin offs on the original Green Tea scent, and I was not expecting Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Lavender Honey Drops Body Cream to be any different when it came to fragrance. However this one does manage to hold its own against the large family of different Green Tea scents.

Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Lavender Honey Drops Body Cream first smells like the original Green Tea fragrance we all know and love. However as the cream settles down some and begins to absorb into the skin, you are left with a more green, freshly picked plant stem. I was not overly fond of the stem scent, but as it began to mellow out even more I was finally able to detect small hints of the lavender which is soft, relaxing and soothing.

Combined with green tea, plant extracts, and lavender, this body cream ended up being the perfect before bed fragrance due to how mellow it becomes as it settles on the skin.

The honey drops also leave behind a very subtle hint of natural honey scent.

Texture:

Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Lavender Honey Drops Body Cream is like the original Green Tea Honey Drops Body Cream, as the texture is very smooth, and absorbs very quickly leavig your skin feeling soft, and not sticky or thick in texture. There is no greasy feeling left behind. What you get is a soft veil of moisturized skin, without all of the gross sticky extras.

For me, Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Lavender Honey Drops Body Cream is like food for the skin, and it leaves behind not just great soft feeling skin, but also a lovely scent which actually stays with you for some time.

Overall:

Superb. Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Lavender Honey Drops Body Cream smells great, it stands out amongst it's family of fragrances, and it leaves skin feeling soft and refreshed.
