Review of New Garnier B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free

I was given a tube for free Garnier B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free from BzzAgent to try out. My first reaction was pure joy; who does not love free stuff?

My second thought however was of course filled with speculation. How good could Garnier B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free actually work considering you can pick it up for just $11.99? I am used to spending big dollars on name brands like Dolce & Gabbanna, MAC and Estee Lauder when it comes to my foundations and skin needs.

When the cream finally arrived I was excited to give it a go and see how well it worked. The tube promised to relieve me of shine, rid my skin of dullness, even out skin tone, and hide blemishes. It is a multiple benefit cream, and I could not wait to put its claims to the test.

I was mostly excited about how well it would work when it came to leaving my skin shine free. Most foundations promise just that, but not even half of them can deliver.

So how did Garnier B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free hold up?

I was truly shocked at how perfectly this low priced cream worked. The second I applied it to my face I knew that I may very well have found the holy grail in cosmetics.

The cream is runny, but it glides over the skin flawlessly. It is not drying, it does not streak, and it absorbs into the skin quickly while leaving behind a flawless base for you to work with.

You can of course wear it alone, as it does a remarkable job at hiding all imperfections, but I used it as a base to work with my other foundations. The reason for this was due to the fact that the medium deep color that I chose was not as deep as I was expecting. Therefore I had to use my other foundations to blend it in to make it match my skin tone.

Medium deep should have been labeled medium light.

At any rate, it provided the best under base for my skin I have ever used. It did not highlight fine lines, or accentuate them. It did not oxidize and turn powdery or dry. It simply sunk into my skin while veiling it to look as if it were natural, and yet all the while hid every imperfection with grace.

When it comes to oil and shine control, it is evident that it does do the job. It is not the absolute best shine away cream in the universe, but for the price I found that it worked better than my $60 bottle of Dolce foundation.

Small amounts of shine was produced about 2-3 hours after applying it, the shine however only showed on my forehead, which is my usual bad spot. I get small amounts on my nose and cheeks, but after using Garnier B.B. Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free, it only came through on my head, and it was not as much oil/shine as what I am used to.

It works well, but not perfectly in the shine free department. However in comparison to my usual brands, it worked much, much better, and I did not have to touch up with powder as frequently.

Overall:

I love this one. I will pick up another tube as soon as it runs out, but will seek out a deeper color to match my skin better.

I love how lightweight it is, how natural it feels, and how a small amount goes a long way. I never thought I would find a product this cheap that is capable of working better than a high end brand.
I would recommend it to anyone, with or without oily skin.
