Review of Romeo Di Romeo Gigli Perfume for Women

The moment I spotted Romeo Gigli on my mothers dresser I began judging it. Based on the stupid shape of the bottles lid, I assumed it was some old fashioned, old lady spew in a bottle.

Yellow colored perfumes never really do it for me. They usually end up smelling like overpowering rotten roses. I thought Romeo Gigli would fall into the same rotten roses category.

The Bottle:

Okay, I'm going by my first impression here...the bottle looked really stupid. It has a disfigured bulb shaped glass bottom, capped off with some weird cone shaped modern art design. For me though, it reminded me of something from the 80's. The plastic 'arty tarty' lid that topped the bulb looked ridiculous.

The Perfume:

For the reviews sake, I had to try it. I popped of the stupid plastic top and sprayed Romeo Gigli onto my wrist. I then sprayed Romeo Gigli on to my clothing, then a little in my hair, and some on my pants...

Here's why:

I should not of judged Romeo Gigli so harshly before even trying it, because this perfume smelled as if I had just released an angel from a bottle. The warm floral musk wrapped up my senses with it's gorgeous fragrance, I could not of had enough.

I was smelling honey suckle, hyacinth, caramel, and Lillie's tapped with a nice swig of fig and powder. Gosh, this stuff could of been called Angel's Feathers. It's so light, yet at the same time so strong and inviting.

I wanted it to last forever, and although Romeo Gigli didn't last forever, the scent seductively stood around for about 4 hours till I could no longer smell it.

What I loved about it though was that as it faded it would turn into another note. For the first hour I smelled all of the fragrances I mentioned above. Hour two though I mostly noted caramel and Lillie's. Hour three I was surrounded with musk, powder, and hyacinth.

Every hour was like another course in aromatherapy. Relaxing, sensual, sexy, and romantic. I loved it!

Overall:

Heaven in a bottle is the only way I can describe Romeo Gigli. This stuff is the best floral musk I have ever smelled yet.

Recommendation:

If flowers and musk are not your thing, than Romeo Gigli may not be the perfume for you. However if you're enjoy floral scents, and musks make you go ga ga, then Romeo Gigli cannot be passed up. The fragrance may not be as long lasting as some perfumes on the market, but it's fragrance changes with wear, each hour a gorgeous scent to fill the senses.

Pricing and Availability:

I have never seen this one in actual stores; my mom picked it up for $1.00 at a thrift store, however Romeo Gigli can still be found floating around the net for low prices. A quick google search will bring up an array of different prices. A standard 1.7 ounce bottle will come to around $30.00. I highly recommend you give it a try. (Or gift it to someone),
