I really had no clue what to expect from Sebastian Stark Naked Shampoo when I was given a bottle of it for Christmas.
My cousin raved about how it removed excess buildup and how much she
loved it. I was hesitant to use it though due to damaging my hair after
bleaching it. The last thing I needed was a drying/stripping clarifying
shampoo. Being that she swore it would make my hair shine healthy again,
I of course went ahead and gave it a try.
The first thing I hated about it was how thick the shampoo was, and
how utterly ridiculous the bottle was. You must squeeze it out of the
top, but the plastic it comes in is very hard and awkwardly shaped. With
the shampoo almost glue like thick the result ended up being that the
plastic silver cap ended up popping of and wasting a lot of the shampoo.
I sighed and went ahead and used it.
The Scent:
Sebastian Stark Naked Shampoo has a very strong and cheap perfumed
like fragrance to it. It is a unisex shampoo but it has something more
many in its scent than it does feminine.
My Use:
Applying Sebastian Stark Naked Shampoo is tedious because it does not
work into a quick lather like most shampoo will. I ended up having to
use a lot more of it just to get it to work into a lather and fully
saturate my hair.
As I began to work it up into a lather, I hated the shampoo even more.
My hair began feeling like straw. It felt dry, parched and brittle. I
was horrified. I had been working so hard at fixing my damaged hair and
maintaining the moisture and softness of it, one use with this junk and
all of my effort was in vain.
I rinsed it out as quickly as I could and drenched my hair in a moisturizing conditioner.
The conditioner helped a tad, but I used more of it after rinsing just to really get my hair feeling soft and moist.
Overall:
Sebastian Stark Naked Shampoo is disgusting. If you have a gross
amount of hair product buildup I feel this one will strip it out, but
you will likely be sacrificing the overall health of your hair as this
garbage is beyond drying. It felt for me as if I soaked my head in a vat
full of rubbing alcohol and dipped it into gasoline, that is literally
how dry my hair was after using this shampoo.
If you already have dry or damaged hair skip this one like a plague.
