Queen Helene Mint Julep Face Masque - Great for Acne

I have been a fan of Queen Helene products for years, and one product that you can always find in my closet is the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. I am sure those of you who have never used it have actually seen it. Perhaps you have seen it on people's faces, you know that green clay mask that you may have seen women on TV shows or movies wearing? Yeah, that one. The green zombie clay masque.
I love the green zombie masque.
Packaging:
The Mint Julep masque comes in a standard stand up squeeze tube, in green and white. The tube will read Queen Helene, followed up with the product name, Mint Julep Masque. It had a moss green click up cap.
Use:
According to the Queen herself, the Mint Masque is used on the face to tighten sagging skin on the face and throat. It is also meant to soften wrinkles, and it stimulates blood circulation.
The masque is to be spread across your entire face evenly. You can use a thin amount or a thick amount. I recommend using a thick amount of the product in problem areas, and a thinner amount in other areas. Problem areas would include the forehead, nose, and chin.
My Use:
I spread a decent amount of the green mint scented clay onto my face and let it dry. Drying time usually takes up to a half an hour to 45 minutes. While it is drying on my face I can feel it tightening my skin to the point where it almost hurts. The whole experience even though it is tightening, it is also extremely refreshing.
After rinsing the masque off with warm water my face is left feeling brand new. It feels fresh, soft and extremely clean. After washing off your face will experience some drying, which is awesome when it comes to removing acne. After using Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque, I recommend applying facial moisturizer.
I only use the masque about once every 2 weeks, using it more will could cause very dry skin, that could result in peeling. However for those with very bad acne, it can be used more, and will actually be better for your face...don't forget the moisturizer though!
Results:
Using the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque keeps my oily skin at bay. In summer months I tend to use it more, only because my skin is more oily. Keeping oils at bay, keep the pimples away, and this is exactly what the Mint Julep Masque does.
Recommendation:
Although I do not have any wrinkles or sagging skin, it is my belief that this stuff will keep your wrinkle free face; wrinkle free. For those with wrinkles, I cannot comment on how well it will work for your wrinkles. It will tighten the skin, but the tightening sensation goes away within a few short hours.
I mainly recommend the Mint Julep mask for those with oily or acne prone skin. I also use the masque on top of pimples, and in the morning the nasty thing is so dried out that all that is left is some skin to peel away. Pimple...gone!
I do not recommend that those with dry flaky skin use this product. It does dry out your face, and if you already have dry skin this product could be a nightmare for you. Those with sensitive skin should use this very sparingly, as it could actually be somewhat painful for you.
Availability:
You can find Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque at any drug store or super store. The price will vary anywhere from $4.00-$5.00 depending on what size tube you purchase.
