Review of Alberto V05 Moisture Milks: Honeydew Smoothie

The first time I had tried Moisture Milks I was hooked. Not only did Alberto V05's Moisture Milks come in a nice collection of awesome scents, but they also left my hair feeling moisturized and healthy afterward.
After trying Blueberries and Cream Moisture Milks shampoo, I was on the hunt to try them all. Honeydew Smoothie was no exception. I had to have it. Especially after I got a big ol' whiff of the scent.
Price:
The bottle itself only runs for about $1.50, and when a girl like me hears $1.50 usually it means the product is crap. Only this $1.50 miracle is far from crap.
Packaging:
Honeydew Smoothie comes in the standard shaped Alberto V05 bottle, only this collection is labeled Moisture Milks. You really have to keep an eye out for that, otherwise you could end up buying a shampoo in another collection. On the bottle is a picture of a honey dew cut in half. The shampoo itself is a light pearly green.
Scent:
The scent is fabulous! Honeydew Smoothie smells just like mouth watering honeydew melon. There is nothing fake about it, no harsh weird undertones, or chemical plastic type smells come from this bottle. It seriously smells just like you put a slice of fresh cut honeydew right under your nose when you smell this one.
How well did it work?
When used as shampoo it's scent though sort of tones down, I sort of expected this though, because moisture milks I had tried in the past all did the same. The lather I got with Honeydew Smoothie was nice and thick, and I could feel my hair getting moisturized as I scrubbed away. Most shampoos on the market leave your hair feeling dry after rinsing out, but not honeydew smoothie. After rinsing out, your hair will feel healthy, moisturized, and nice. Usually using any shampoo cheap or expensive my hair is left feeling parched, dry, and knotty. So Moisture Milks truly do live up to their name...go figure a bottle for $1.50 lives up to its promise.
Afterward:
I never follow up with Alberto V05's Moisture Milks conditioner. I usually use a deep conditioning treatment, or some Pantene. The Honeydew Smoothie scent although died down while using it in the shower, leaves its scent behind in your hair. This, (besides the moisturizing treatment my hair get) is the best thing about the Moisture Milks Honeydew Smoothie shampoo. It leaves it's mark behind, and you can enjoy the scent in your locks for the entire day.
Availability:
VO5 Moisture Milks are available almost everywhere and anywhere you could imagine. From super stores, to drug stores. The price will usually remain in the low $1.50 to $2.50 range.
Recommendation:
Those looking to bring some moisture to their hair. Not only that, but I also recommend it to those who love honeydew scented products; this one is sure to please.
