Using Clearasil StayClear Acne Fighting Pads the Right Way

Before learning about Lush I had used many different acne fighting creams and pads. I have oily skin, and when one has oily skin, if the problem is not taken care of the oil will clog pores, and cause break outs.
Clearasil had always been a product I had used since my childhood, and when you are young, you are not wise to the proper care to your face. Even after using all of these creams and pads, with no results, I began to wonder why. As time goes on, and one grows wiser, you learn that you have oily acne prone skin because you are working too hard at solving the problem.
My problem was oily skin, and I would always use the harsh clearasil StayClear Acne Fighting Pads. These pads did the trick for the time being; they would clean off any dirt, and remove all oil. However excessively using them would cause my skin to parch out, and become even more oily.
The fact of the matter was I needed to use moisturizer. Who would of thought that someone with oily skin needed moisturizer. Well thats the fact gals and guys, you are not going to get rid of oily skin by stripping your face with harsh alcohol chemicals. A simple moisturized will do the trick.
Anyhow, I am not here to discuss how to get acne free skin, I'm here to discuss the Clearasil StayClear Acne Fighting Pads.
These pads are small circular white pads with a soft side and a rough side. The formula these pads are saturated in, are supposed to help fight acne...but it doesn't say it will stop it from forming...remember that before you buy a jar of them for $6.00.
I usually would go through a jug of about 60 pads in less than 3 weeks. I used them in the morning, in the afternoon, at night, when I was hot, when I needed to remove make up. I basically used them too damn much, and as a result I ended up with break outs and oily skin. I assumed the product was crap, because it was apparent they were not working.
After over use of the pads, my skin would get really dry, and flaky, and a few hours after the dry feeling, my skin would begin to sweat beads of oil off of my nose! Uch! It turns out the oil was forming to try and moisturize my face.
Anyway, after learning the proper way to care for my face, I figured I would teach you acne amateurs out there the proper way to use these StayClear pads.
We are going to start off with a clean slate, you are to wipe away the thought of using these pads every hour. That is not their intent.
The best way to use these pads starts off with a simple washing to the face using a facial cleanser. Keep in mind that this facial cleanser does NOT have to contain acne fighting ingredients. A nice morning citrus burst wash is always nice. After drying your face off you can now gently wipe a Clearasil StayClear Acne Fighting pad across your forehead, nose, and other acne prone areas. Do not use the rough abrasive side to the pad, use the soft side.
After doing that and allowing the formula to dry, now add a moisturizing facial lotion. Allow the area to dry, and now you may apply your makeup.
You will find that by following a few simple steps you are beginning to walk a road to a clearer healthier face. You will find that your face will have less shine than ever before.
You see Clearasil StayClear has the potential to rid your face of oil and acne for good, if you just use it the correct way. Scraping away all oils and dirt every 15 minutes with these pads will only guarantee more shine, and more break outs. It's just too bad they don't tell you that on the bottle.
Follow these instructions after removing make up with your facial soap, and before bed. Three times a day or less, is really all you need. You do not need to spend excessive amounts of time working on perfecting your skin. Moisturizer is truly the key, no matter what these ridiculous acne fighting pads, creams, and glue dots say.
You will find that you will only need to do this every once in awhile, and that your face will not produce hardly any oil after the fact.
Enjoy a healthier acne/oil free new glow!
