When I first tried Blueberries and Cream from Alberto V05's Moisture
Milks, I was hooked to the lovely scent, and it was the gateway scent
into my needing/wanting to try the rest of the scents available from the
collection.
My next stop of course was Strawberries and Cream. I knew that it
would most likely work the same as Blueberries and Cream, just with a
different scent.
The bottle came to $1.50 just like it's blueberry friend. The shampoo
itself is a nice colored pale pink with swirls of pearly white
throughout it, which gives the entire shampoo a pearly pink color
overall. Once I popped the top in the store and gave it a sniff, I liked
it. The scent however was far from real strawberries and cream,
it smelled more like strawberry fruit roll ups. That scent you get when
you first peel back on the package of the fruit roll up.
At home in the shower first wet my hair, and applied about a handful
to my scalp and rubbed it in. The lather was thick and creamy, and was
soothing to the senses. The strawberry scent though sort of died out a
bit in the shower. I was expecting this to happen though, because
Blueberries and Cream did the same thing. It seems that once the shampoo
is worked into a lather, the scent dies down a few notches. However
after the shower with Blueberries and Cream the scent was present
throughout my locks, and that was all that mattered. I assumed that
Strawberries and Cream would also leave a nice recognizable scent behind
as well, even though the lather was not so scented.
After rinsing the lather out my hair surprisingly was left feeling a
tiny bit moisturized, which I have to give mad props to V05 for. Usually
shampoos no matter what the promise is, it never delivers. Their
Moisture Milks has to be the only shampoos that actually leave your hair
feeling moisturized after rinsing out. Almost 99% of every shampoo I
have ever used leaves my locks feeling parched and dry. So again, many
props to V05.
After stepping out of the shower, I could smell the light strawberry
scent all around me, and knew that once my hair dried of completely the
scent would stick with me. Sweet!
Of course my intuition was right, and my hair was left with the
strawberry fragrance for the entire day. I was in love! My hair was also
left feeling soft, and silky; not to mention shiny! Yee-haw!
V05 has become a part of my shampoo collection, with their sweet
scents, and awesome results. I do wish though that they would release
more fragrances in their Moisture Milks collection. As of now there are
only 4 different scents I am aware of.
Where to find your own Moisture Milks?
They can be found anywhere from super stores, to super markets. The
prices will vary from $1.00 to $2.50 depending on where you buy it. Try
avoiding drug stores, as prices seem to be higher here.
Look for the logo!
Make sure you look for the official 'Moisture Milks' logo on the
bottle. There are tons of other Alberto V05 shampoos in similar shaped
bottles, so you have to keep a good eye out for the correct collection
of shampoos and conditioners.
