I usually don't buy cheap shampoos and conditioners, and my tub and
closet is filled with all sorts of expensive high end shampoos and
conditioners. However when I came across a scent I have never ever used
before I had to have it. It was Blueberries and Cream Moisture Milks by
Alberto V05.
This is a company I have always been neutral with, I never have hated
their products, nor have I ever loved them. V05 has always been sort of
eh for me. When I popped the top on Blueberries and Cream though I was
in love with an Alberto V05 product. The scent reminded me of warm
heated blueberry muffins fresh from the overn, and a hint of cream added
in for moisture. It was yummy. I wanted to eat it.
I had a feeling though that the whole 'Moisture Milk'
was just another name gimmick. I have never in my life used a shampoo
that had not made my hair feel dry after rinsing out, and I was sure VO5
Moisture Milks would prove to be the same; nice smelling, no moisture.
No matter though, this is why I use deep conditioners afterward.
The bottle only came to $1.50 at my local Walmart, but I liked the
scent, and the cheap price did not steer me away. The shampoo inside was
blue, and looked as if it had white swirls creamy shiny shampoo mixed
in. Obviously it was supposed to resemble the 'milk'. Hehe. Either way,
it was pretty, cheap, and smelled yummy.
At home I first rinsed my hair with warm water, and then applied about
a handful of shampoo into my palm. I scrubbed it around into my scalp,
and a nice thick creamy lather formed on top. The scent was also
present, but sort of lost it's yum factor. I could still smell it don't
get me wrong, but the scent had definitely toned it down a few notches
once it was lathery.
The lather itself did feel in fact very moisturizing. But lots of shampoos feel this way; that is, until you wash it out.
After washing the shampoo out, my hair was left feeling parched, but
not overly parched like some shampoos leave it feeling. The result
though, was far from being moisturized. I rinsed with some conditioner,
and got out of the shower.
The blueberry scent was stuck in my hair, and kicked the scent of the
conditioner to the side. Cool. Loved it! The blueberry scent stood with
me for the entire day, and as a final result, my hair looked and felt
much nicer than it usually does. It just goes to show, you don't have to
spend a lot of money on nice shampoos. You can also buy the cheap ones
with results just as excellent as high end products, and sometimes the
results are even better.
After using Blueberries and Cream Moisture Milks, I have been known to
buy other scents from the collection of Moisture Milks as well. Aside
from Blueberries and Cream, you can also wash your hair with Cream Fresh
Peaches (I think Peaches and Cream would have been a better name for it
though), Strawberries and Cream, and Honeydew Smoothie, which again,
should be called Honeydew and Cream.
I have used all of them, and all of them have similar results with
lovely scents left behind in your hair, that you can smell all day long.
My favorite though, Blueberries and Cream. Mmmm!

Where to find them: You can pick up this scent at any local super
store. If you buy them in rug stores they tend to be over priced. I
recommend Target or Walmart for the best price on this shampoo. While
you are there be sure to check out the sister conditioner as well.
