Review of Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra-Sleek Conditioner with Brazilian Keratin and Argan Oil

I fell in love with Giovanni 2 Chic after trying their leave in elixir on my dry damaged, over processed hair. The results were not a magical cure all one time use fix, but the results definitely showed improvement. This was primarily why I sought after other Giovanni 2 Chic products, and also the main reason as to why I bought Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra-Sleek Conditioner with Brazilian Keratin and Argan Oil. I was hoping for a faster fix by combining the 2.

The Promises:

Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra-Sleek Conditioner with Brazilian Keratin and Argan Oil promised to leave my hair sleek, smooth, manageable and shiny. I was primarily after the shine and manageability. Ever since over processing my hair, the one thing it lacked the most was shine and manageability.

My Use:

Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra-Sleek Conditioner with Brazilian Keratin and Argan Oil is to be used after rinsing out your shampoo. You can use Giovanni 2 Chic shampoo for better results with the line, but I wanted to try out the conditioner as it was with some cheap shampoo to see how it held up on its own accord. Mostly my hair benefits from conditioners anyway, and it never really matters all that much what sort of shampoo I am using.

The conditioner itself is semi thick in texture, and unfortunately a little does not go a long way. I used the tube only 4 times and I am nearing the end of it.

The scent of this conditioner is fresh, but it is definitely not one that is too loud or perfume like. It's rather bland, but I was not after scent. I just wanted something to bring my hair back to life.

After letting the conditioner sit in my hair for nearly 4 minutes, I rinsed it out. The issue however was that after rinsing it out, my hair did not feel as if it were as clean as it could be. It felt as if residue was still trapped within, and the more I rinsed, the drier my hair felt.

Unfortunately I had to pair this conditioner up with my Biolage conditioner just to leave my hair feeling silky and clean. Without pairing up, my hair just felt too dry and knotty to leave it alone.

Overall:
Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra-Sleek Conditioner with Brazilian Keratin and Argan Oil is way over priced for what you get as far as results go. It did not feel like I had even used a conditioner after rinsing this one out. It felt more like that dry feeling you would get from a shampoo, not a conditioner!

Their elixir leave in serum does wonders for my dry damaged hair, but sadly this conditioner does not fit the same bill.
